Sorry so long Corinne, I had an oopherectomy and they took out my uterus also. I tested positive for the BRCA2, and am at higher risk for ovarian cancer. This surgery went very easy for me.
Two years ago today was my last chemo, and I hope it always stays that way!:)
Hope everyone is doing well, would like to hear from Jeaninne, too.
Love ya'll!

Hello! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! I had my 6 mo. diagnostic mammo 2 weeks ago and got the all clear for another 6 months. I was exceptionally nervous this time for some reason. I go to onco on 3/2 which is my 41st birthday! What a fun thing to do on your birthday. My family and I are registered along with my former next door neighbor, who is undergoing chemo as I type this, for the Komen Global Race for the Cure in DC in June. We booked a hotel room for the entire weekend and are bring all 3 kids to walk too! I think of you all everyday and am thankful for the blessings we have.

Had a total hysterectomy yesterday and am doing great today!! I did have it done lapariscopically. I am not on any pain meds!! What a blessing that is. Also when I woke up I was not sick at all. This was by far as easy as my masectomy but unlike my reconstuction!! They gave me decadron for the nausea just in case. Now I never have to worry about that again!! Not even pap smears, which I detest!! Once get over this I am movving on!! I finished my clinical trial in Jan. It has now been over 2 yrs since diagnosis
So happy for you on a good repot..I understand how you feel. We will always look over our shoulders because this has been so big over the years for us. Love you you all. Jeannine, you are still in our prayers

All good reports at my check-up!!!! Hope everyone is doing well..........Loves to all............

Just a quick "Hi," to everyone. I was fortunate to get to see Gail a few days ago, just before she left to meet her new granddaughter. I'm sure she'll be along to share her big news when she gets a chance. In the mean time, she looks wonderful (as beautiful as her avatar!), and it was great to see her.
Happy to hear about good checkups for you, Stacy & Alibug! It's always a stress, isn't it? -- but then such a relief!
Corinne I didn't comment on your surgery here because I keep up with you on FB, but I hope you're well-recovered by now. Are you feeling okay?
Has anyone talked to Jeannine?
How I wish others from our original group would occasionally pop in and let us know how they're doing! As much as I know moving on and not thinking about bc is healthy & good, I still think about Roya and Karen and everyone else, and pray that they're happy & healthy. Deanna

Hi everyone! Had my onco appt last week and all was great! Then, got home to find that my period returned!!! I couldn't believe it!! What a shocker that was.
Hope everyone is doing well and that your lives are just keeping you busy! Worried about Jeannine as I haven't seen any posts here or on fb...
Love to you all!

Congrats again Stacy!
Deanna, good to hear from you, hope you are well! I still go to my support group once a month, and I get good info on keeping it away from coming back. I also get to help others who are just going into tx. I get something from that also.
Great news from Gail! Hurray! I'm having such a great time with my grandbaby!
Jeannine's FB page is blank now, which worries me. I don't have a way to reach her or her family.

Hi everyone just checking in.... I tried calling Jeannine last week... She does not answer. I did leave a message
Mommy3abm..That is what happened to me. You should tell your doctor. She will want to run tests. You will probably end up with an ultra sound.
Since surgery I am doing great. It has been almost 5 weeks. Going to the dr's this week and hopefully I can resume my activities.
Love you all, Corinne

To all my dear friiends, Just googled and found out that our dear sweet sis, Jeannine Aresti passed away on the 13th of April. I am very sad to hear this as she was such a spirit of energy. She was such an inspiration and I will GREATLY miss our chats. Love to you all, Corinne
-
Corinne, I just saw your post on FB. I'm in shock, and so very sad. I'll save the HATE BC rant for another time, but this is absolutely devastating news. Love & hugs to you and everyone else. Deanna
-
I am so sad that we have lost Jeannine, our dear sweet breast cancer sister to this awful disease! May she find comfort with her Lord. May He take away all her pain & sorrow. We love you & miss you Jeannine!

I thought those of you who haven't seen this might like to, and that you might also want to sign the Guest Book:
I am kicking myself for not calling her in recent weeks or responding to an email I had from her a few months ago. Life should never get in the way of friendship. Deanna
-
Today is Jeannine's service. Boy, do I miss her!! Thinking and praying for your families today. HUGS ALWAYS!!
-
Happy Easter to my bc-sisters. May the Easter message comfort Jeannine's family and all of us. Easter blessings, Deanna

-
Hope everyone is doing well.....I go for my Mammo and check-up next Tuesday (5/24) I just keep my fingers crossed and pray just like everytime I go!!!!! Love you all and hope everyone had a GREAT Mother's Day!!!! And yes Corrine - 3 years out for me as of May 8th!!!! Loves to all........
-
Will be praying for you. I guess this board is really zoning out. I know most are on facebook but this is where my bc family is!! I love you all!!
-
Good luck, Alibug! I'll be watching for an update from you.
You're right, Corinne -- this thread is pretty sparse these days. It hope it means that just about everyone has moved on and no longer thinks about bc, which is actually a good thing! But I do wonder whatever happened to Karen, Roya and all the others who no longer post? Deanna

Hello All,
Yes, I do check in less frequently, but I think often of all of the wonderful women who have helped me here. I'm feeling great, just returned from a month visiting my 95 year old mother - she lives alone in Texas with a heard of deer, a bird sanctuary and is so healthy! I may be so blessed!
Love to all,
Gail

Hi ladies,
I stop by to see how everyone is doing every once in a while, and I'm so glad everyone is well. I was so sad to hear about Jeannine, she had such great spirit and faith, I know she's in a better place.
I'm staying busy and trying to live as healthy as possible. I play a lot with my granddaughter, who is the love of my life!:)
Love, Deen
