I Come to the Garden...

Ladies - can I please ask for prayer for my stepdaughte?. I have been raising her since she was 7 yrs old and she is now 14. We just recently found out she has been doing some things that she wasn't supposed to be doing. We (DH and I) are very disappointed but we love her and want to help, her. Please pray all of us, as we are all struggling.

Creator and Merciful One,
We gather here in the splendor of your garden to marvel over your creation that surrounds us with concrete evidence of your Divine wisdom and amazing creativity. We gather here because we are drawn to support one another -- always aware that we may need that very support in just the blink of an eye. We gather in the assurance that as we join hearts and prayers together we are your people, your children, your loved ones. We gather together.
We ask for your strength to guide us on our journey amid the many challenges of our daily adventures. We ask for that strength as we wait with our sisters for answers. We ask for that strength as we support others in their roles as parent, child, sister and wife. We ask your strength when ours is spent. We ask for your strength on behalf of friends who are back to square one of this journey -- after a 17 year interval of relative peace. We ask for strength.
We ask for courage. We ask for insight. We ask for guidance. We ask for peace.
Bless those in our circle who are reaching out for the first time. Bless those who are at a crossroads. Bless those making decisions. Bless those who are holding it together as best they are able. Bless those in need of your tender care. Bless those feeling alone. Bless those who are feeling lost or adrift. Bless those who are seeking answers.
Be with us as we begin a new weekend. Support us in our efforts to hold one another up. Support our efforts to learn as your would have us to learn. Open our hearts. Open our minds.
Carry us.
Hold us.
Offer us hope.

Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.

Sorry I just jumped in and asked for prayer. I have posted here before but it has been a while. Thanks for the prayer faithie.

-
I sure has been a trying day. Very emotional One day down 5 more to go. See you all tomorrow and have a good night
-
Dawney, don't appologize. When we realize we need prayer, sometimes we just need prayer, not a big introduction. We will pray for your stepdaughter for change, and for your You and your DH for wisdom on handling it.
Lynniea, don't be hard on yourself. It is possible that when your dr. gets full results they may call you earlier. But you can make it through the next five days, you can. We are here to help support you.
Faithie, beautiful prayer, from a beautiful heart.

Good morning all. I need you to pray for our pastor daughter who fell down some stairs and now they are not sure it she will make 48 hours. Thank you Sometimes it better to remember someone else in need and God will take care of yours. I am doing well today. No snow that's a plus.
-
Oh, how sad. We will remember her in prayer. Yes, putting your stuff on the back burner helps. Glad you are doing better. Just stay buckled up on this roller coaster ride.
-
lynn-my goodness, how old is the daughter? How far did she fall & yes I am praying.
-
Just want to let you all know that Melody family is with her at the Hospital. My Pastor leaves tomorrow to see his daughter. Another day down and just taking one day at a time. I know that I could not do it without all of you.
-
You could, Lynn, but we are here to make it easier. I didn't find this place until nearly 6 years post dx, and Dh found it when I had a scare with an abnormal Mammo and needed a Bx. I made it through, but can only imagine how much easier it would have been to have the support offered here.
-
I does make it much easier and I appreciate it very much. Trying to use my five posting for today. Don't want to have to wait longer than I have to. I am about to go crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy waiting. Please pray the snow stops on Thursday so I can go to my appt. Will post again tomorrow and have a great night.
-
That is what I did when I first started. I would try to post as soon as I had a free post available. It would make me mad if I waited to far past the 24 hour mark, beacuse I wanted the freedom.
-

Have a safe trip Meece.

We arrived just before the game, and listened to the National anthem in the rental car. Our room wasn't ready so we went across the street so Dh could watch the game. Matt and I caught up and enjoyed ourselves. It has been 23 months! We walked Waikiki until it started pouring around 6:30 so we found a restaurant to have dinner at.
It was still pouring when we finished and walked back to the hotel. It may be 8:00 here, but my body says it is 10:00. We have an appointment to talk with the cardiologist at 9:00 am in the morning at Trippler. Hopefully we will have sunshine when that is finished.
Trip was fine and we arrived 50 minutes ahead of schedule, but there was a lot of turbulence. I've been on worse, but it does get your heart going.
Thank you for your prayers.
Meece

Dear Gardners & praying friends.
I just got a FB message from a dear, sweet BCO sister who has just received the news today that her Stage IV mets have gone on to her brain. She will see her new rads onc tomorrow.
She is no longer 'active' here at BCO for a number of reasons........
I ask for prayers on her behalf.
Prayers for her comfort in the face of the unthinkable.
She is young and single.
Please pray.
Pray steadfastly.
Pray for her new specialist to be brilliant tomorrow.
Please pray for her guts in the face of this unthinkable news.
Pray on for a cure, as she is a guinea pig for treatment that will benefit others in the future.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.

Another day down and 1 more to go. Should I call the DR or wait for the appt. Had good day to day spent it with my daughter. She is in college and called said they need another lab. More money for books. She got two grants so didn't have to pay much. God is so good.
