One of the first songs that I remember loving as a small child from the radio was Turn, Turn, Turn, by the Byrds. It was many years later that I read those words in Ecclesiastes.

    Byrds Turn! Turn! Turn! Lyrics

Words-adapted from The Bible, book of Ecclesiastes
    Music-Pete Seeger

    To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

    To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

    To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

    To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late

(I always kind of tripped out on the line, time to kill, so I figured that's what they meant when we squish spiders.)

Back home and mostly awake.  The Colonoscopy showed no polyps.  GOD is good all the time, all the time, God is good!  One more thing not to need to worry about.  The nurse only had to try two (although lingering) times to get the iv started.  I told them how susceptible I am to anesthesia so they used as little as they could.  I was home by 10:30, and slept it off for 2 hours.

Thank you for all your prayers for me about this, and about everytime you lift my family up in your prayers.

Good news, Meece!!!  Yeah!!!!!!!  We are praying hard for your family!

I am doing fine.  Had to change oncologists.  I thought the problem with the first appt was maybe my expectations were to high.  2nd appt was no better and the 3rd was horrible!  I asked my chemo nurse and she suggested one right by my house.  I saw him before my last treatment last week and what a difference!  He explained the multifocal bc diagnosis.  The first oncologist at CC cancelled my next heart scan.  Confused me as we are supposed to have those because of the herceptin.  Heart scan was the first thing he ordered along with a bone density scan.  I feel better about the new doctor.

Give Matt a hug for us!!

Faithie - I love how you called us "gardners"!!!

Grace, so glad you found a more suitable oncologist.  My first onc didn't spend much time with me at all.  I saw his NP each visit, and him twice.  As soon as I completed radiation, They just dropped me completely.  My Gyno asked how my follow-up visits were going a couple years later, and when he found out they weren't following me (I didn't know any better), he got me to where I am right now.  Yes, it is over two hours away, but well worth it.  It make a difference on how you physically feel if you can trust your doctors.

YAY Meece, no polyps, that is great.  Then you probably don't have to go back for 10 yrs.   Where a polyp was found each time with me, I have to go back in 5 yrs.  Did you wake up to watch a little of the procedure.  I did, I saw him snagging the polyp and then putting a clip on the place where it was removed cuz it was bleeding a bit. It was located near the appendix.  Then I fell back to sleep when I got home I slept on the couch for 2 hours.  I guess I still had the anesthesia floating around in me.

It still took me until 4:30 when the anesthesia was out of my system.  DH came home from work tonight and told me that I announced to the nurse (who was trying to see how cognisant I was before releasing me) that we had slept in to 7:00 am yesterday.  We never sleep past 6:00 and certainly didn't yesterday, so I have no idea why I said it.  DH said he had no idea either because she hadn't even asked me anything about sleep.

I don't remember anything from when she finished putting the Benedryl in until she told me to get dressed I was going home.  I wanted to watch.  Oh well, I slept well and wasn't starving.

They are correct that the prep is the hard part.  And the relief that the whole thing is over with good results is priceless!

Need this place today. Very emotional and little thing set me off.  But all I can say is GOD has been good to me. A lady in our church wrote a song He'll Provide a Miracle.  We go through things to make us stronger.  Sometimes just to help someone else out. LOVE this Garden Thanks for the Invite to it

I invited a newbie, lynniea, to this thread and she has been reading.  She is limited on her number of posts and has PM'd me.  She had her biopsy yesterday and needless to say is stressed and concerned that little things seem to set her off right now.  Since she doesn't have posts left right now, I am passing on her request for prayer.

    Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you in faith, knowing you hear our every prayer and know our hearts.  Please be with our new sister lynniea as she awaits test results.  We all know how scared she must be and we ask that you use us to give comfort to those in need.  Be with each one of us as we each deal with things in our lives which tend to try to move our eyes from you.  Please keep those of us who are enduring severe weather, safe.  Please bestow travelers' mercy upon those of us traveling this week.  We ask that you restore health to those whose health is faltering.  In all these thing may Your will be done. We pray in Your Glorious Name, Amen.

God is creator of all things, even tears, Mum is right.  Sometimes I will put on a movie that I know will make me cry so I can just let it out.

St. Elmo is the saint of travel, my he hold us all gently in his arms during this time of harsh weather.

Linniea, I got to the point where I apologized at the beginning of the day for any snappiness that may occur. It helped to break the tension and we could actually laugh (sometimes as I cried) with how dramatic I could get. You are normal. Scared, but normal. Hang on sweetie.....

(((Meece))) Good news on your colon tests. I just know the rest of your results will be just as good.  Keeping prayers going for that!!

We were able to get out and go to my appointments.  Surgeon was pleased and said everything fine.  Mammograms although done a bit early in the time line were 100% OK.  Dr. said "non remarkable and nothing of any concern in either breast at this time."  Even though my Oncologist said it wouldn't come back that quickly since I've been in chemo, have one left and start radiation soon, you all understand the worry about mammograms, especially those who share my Triple Negative status because it can be wicked mean about recurrence.  I cried and the tech hugged me.

Prayers for all of you to have a wonderful weekend.  We are still buried with quite a bit of snow, we got 20 inches, but we are now able to get out and into town if we need to.  My worry yesterday was my Dr.'s there are 2 hours away.  We made it though.

    Hugs everybody,

    Juanita

Welcome, ToriGirl.  Anyone who wants to fellowship here is welcome.

Thank you for your encouragement, ladies.

Great news, Juanita.  Every single test that you have for the next five years will be just as meaningful.  Once you get to that five year mark, they are still important, but the TN isn't hovering so closely.

Thought I would say I need some peace.  Had a breakdown couldn' t get daughter to school because car stuck on the ice.  Little things never bothered me but now very sensitive.  I lost my mom in Dec and we were very close. I used to take care of her and go once a week.  It has been hard not to be able to talk to her.  I am so blessed to have this place to come to.  So all of you are going to have to take over as my mom.  Hope everyone has a blessed weekend .  Also heard we are suppose to have more snow on Thursday of course the day of mine Dr appt. Please pray we don't get much so I can keep my appt.

Lynniea, (((HUGS))) to you.  I remember being very emotional at first.  It takes time to get your bearings in all this.  And your Mother so recently passing, well, you just have a lot to deal with emotionally right now.  There is usually someone always here and if not immediately, someone will be along soon to lift you up.  Please know that the wonderful women on this thread really and truely do pray for each and every one.  We are Sisters in this fight and in the Lord, so we naturally care about you.

    Hugs,

    Juanita
