Meece..It is a good idea.
-
I agree SM but was looking forward to a surprise in March when it was revealed that Roadrunners took it by a landslide!
-
YEAAAAAH patoo.
-
That's good positive thinking, Patoo!!
-
HA! Then I better get up off this couch and work off the bad eating I've done all day today.
Later.
-
I sauteed 5 different veggies. Zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, onions and parsnip plus fresh chopped up dill.
Made turkey burgers with non fat yogurt sauce on the top..
Its time to eat.
Are you coming over patoo? i have plenty.
-
Mmm sounds good, can you come cook our dinner, Seyla?
-
Then I better edit my post.
-
okey-dokey, Deb.
-
OK - I left my sick bed to weigh at the gym (it's only ten minutes away). I'm down 3 lbs from not eating as much cause nothing tastes good and I just don't feel like it. So 2 points for that. I've been doing well on water until today, so 6 points for that. And 1 point for Friday check-in. So 9 points even with no exercise this week. Maybe next week. I'm staying down through the weekend so hopefully I'll be able to go back to work on Monday. I did go to the dr on Monday - does that count? But it was just to get diagnosed and get drugs. I didn't make it to the oncologist - that's postponed for 3 weeks. Hope everyone has a great and healthy week!

I have kept up with updating everyone's weight in the header. Do I get a star on my forehead for that?
-
bookart,
Just the fact that, given how horrible you have felt, you left your home to weigh-in, I think deserves AT LEAST a point for your team!!! Is there EXTRA extra-credit??
Get your REST and do your best to feel better soon!
-
Meece, you get a big shiny gold star!
-
HUMMINGBIRD Semi total:
Faithie: 26 points no change to lowest weight
Deborye: 16 points no change to lowest weight
Don23: 18 points no change to lowest weight
My3Girls:
o2B: 12 points 177.0
PrayRV: 10.5 points no change for lowest weight
Seaside: 20.5 points 165.0
ValGirl: 19 points no change for lowest weight
MaiTai: 1 pt checking in, 1 pt join ELAB = 2 140.0
HUMMINGBIRDS = 124 points!!!!!!!!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I'm all for keeping a weekly competitive subtotal of points per team in the header, for bragging rights and for motivation. Even Biggest Loser has all sorts of weekly numbers for the teams to be motivated by.
Meecie, if it doesn't make your life too much more difficult, it would be awesome to see the team sub-totals adding up.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
GO HUMMINGBIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***Please double check that I have your personal numbers transferred correctly and that I have done the math correctly, as well.
Edited to add new lowest weights for the Hummingbirds, to make Meecie's life easier.
-
bookart....Yes you deserve more than a point and yes this is a special circumstance
bookart gets 2 extra points.
Feel Better.
-
Meece,
I DID notice the weights were changing throughout the day!!! Yes, to the star on your forehead for ALL that you have done to launch this so very exciting undertaking!!
In FACT, I do believe that you, and all of the team-leaders, deserve an EXTRA extra-credit point each week for devoting so much of your personal time to keep track of us all... Seriously, that should be a new point for going above and beyond, not only to get yourself healthy BUT to help us ALL get there!
Thanks for all you do!
-
Two gold stars for Meece and an extra point for bookart! (and, yes, I did get up and exercise YAY!) Now going to lurk a little and log off of this puter for the evening.
Make good choices my friends. (oh, and thanks Sheila but I think I've stuffed enough food in me today)
-
Meece - Just for You!!!!
-
and, agree, again, with SM. Good idea the extra points. Can't be easy keeping up with us all.
-
RoadRunners are still missing 2 E-LABbers.
SamSue and ronqt1 where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!
-
I am so thankful for this group that I will be brave and spill that I knew I had to do something when I hit 200 lb. Lost ten pounds before joining E-LAB so Meece if you would, please list my starting weight at 190, now down to 186.2 It will be motivating for me to watch the numbers go down over time. Watching my miles walked has kept me motivated to move.
Walked the capitol at lunchtime and today we climbed some stairs - what a workout! Then had a delicious wrap with hummus (chickpea spread), fresh spinach, avocado & tomato. Gonna do a lot of relaxing tonight, it's been a long week. {{hugs}} to all
-
I got 16 pts and I don't know if I get anything for starting bone strengthing with weights. Am I correct ?
-
Never mind, I can't count.
-
Went back and added a point for Deb and then also to the bottom line of Hummingbirds as well.
Whooohoooooo.
Every extra point is significant in this neck -n- neck competition!!!!
xx00xx00xx00xx
Way to double check the details.
-
Here's my weekly report, better late than never.
Maintained weight at 154: 1 Point
Exercize: 3 Points (I was a "slug" too much of the week, sorry team)
Made weekly check in: 1 Point
Water each day: 7 Points
Total Points: 12 Points
-
bcincolorado,
If it's before midnight, it's not too late!! AND ALL points will help your team!!!
badger,
If it was ANYWHERE near as cold as it is here, my hat is off to you for exercising outside!! I was shoveling today outside and that WIND was just crazy! Blew the hat off of my head! And the snow blowing everywhere including all over me.... NOT pleasant!
Edited to add: that wrap sounds delicious! I LOVE hummus!
Ladies,
I wish for you all a great week-end and a healthy and active next week!!!

Jumping to the end of the thread and will need to go back later to read all the posts. You're a talkative bunch...
Checking in = 1 point
Lost the pound I gained last week = 2 points, yeah
Drank all my water for the week = 7 points
Exercised 5 hours = 10 points
Special stuff - Went to a therapist and he showed me ways to move my arm and to exercise and stretch. It's supposed to also to help with the cording of the arm. = 1 point
Total for the roadrunners = 21
Forgot to say that I am at 148 today.
-
Seaside, it is crazy cold here. Like 10 below zero and that's the temp not the wind chill!
We walk inside the capitol building LOL! It's a beautiful building with two floors good for walking around and around, under the rotunda. The Capitol Police are still keeping an eye on us though. (Our Governor and several legislators have received threats so security has been beefed up.)
edit to add: yes, that's a yummy wrap. Add portobello mushrooms if you like (I don't).
