I say yes, you say no, OR People are Strange

My adult children still laugh about all the prank phone calls. With the advent of caller ID, those days are over. "Do you have Prince Edward in a can?" That's from 50+ years ago! We need internet caller ID. Even tho we recognize the voice.

It makes no sense for the lurkers to delete posts. Why not just use the ignore function instead. Or maybe I am just trying to make sense of something that is nonsensical.
What is weird is that on the other side of each BCO screen name is a woman (or man) sitting there hitting that report this post button. What are they thinking and why for heaven's sake? And why does a person need more than one screen name. You can change your screen name on here, which is not against the rules, but creating whole new people (and lots of them) is just plain bizarre.

Good grief. I read Rocky's post too. Nothing offensive.
But we must feel sorry for the multiple personality poster. I hope she/he is getting help and will soon find other pursuits. Egad!
I like bok choy too--just about any recipe will do. I'm sure squirrels like it too.

IMO, this has nothing to do with what someone is posting. The cowards target someone and are just trying to show they have the power to get away with it. Thanks to Melissa!! Melissa knows exactly what is going on here and the fact that she does nothing about it means she is condoning it. Guess what? If she bans me from the thread, it won't matter any more. I am unsure I want to be a part of a thread "she" is Moderator of when she lets cowards bully people and get away with it. Sooo folks, if you don't see me around much longer, I will be enjoying my conversations on a thread with a Moderator who cares. "No Guts No Glory" Who said that?? Hmmmmmmm

The person is just plain nuts.
On a happy note, I just got back and feel "better than the average bear". They amped me up and reduced my meds. So far so good! Thank you ladies for the well wishes, they seem to be working.
-
Oh.....and I gained 10 lbs. Was 114 before surgery. Am now 124.
-
Blue .. so happy to hear the great news! Glad you put on a few pounds too, and I bet that made your docs happy as well.
lots of love,
Bren
-
Blue -- what super-duper news! So glad to know about the extra pounds too -- every meal should be a celebration!
-
YEA FOR BLUE!! Wonderful news. You ARE better (way) than the average bear!
-
Good news Blue!
As you can tell by my number of posts, I can be quite shy. I'm now wondering if bco is the place for me. I left one bc website when it had no more for me and thought I had found a home here. I know of 2 other boards I could go to. You couldn't pay me to be a part of one of them but I have gotten help from the other so I don't know. On the other hand I don't think you should let bullies win and I wish Melissa and her tech team would do what we all know needs to be done. No need to repeat, she has heard it many times. It just proves there is a difference between hearing and listening and between listening and following through.
Edited because I can never catch alll the typos
I know Melissa's job is big and I thank her for doing it but taking care of this matter might make it easier.

Blue, so glad you are feeling great and that you gained a few lbs. I, on the other hand, need to make VERY sure I do not gain ONE POUND for the next 10 days because that will mean I can't squeeze myself into my dinner dresses on the cruise. Grrrrr. Rabbit food.
-
This is just ridiculous. Obvious harassment.
Blue - wishing all the best for you today.
Sandy
edited to say - there was some lag time between writing the message and hitting submit! I'm glad things went well for you Blue. I am also trying to gain a little weight, or at least not lose anymore. That is something I never thought I'd say.
-
Just have to add my three cheers for Blue's successful tweak. And my thanks, too, seeing as how her great news truly made my day.

Go Blue.
I never thought I'd say those words. They are the cheer for my sons' college sports rival.
-
Thank you ladies!

God, I love this thread!!!
Blue, yay on the tune up! And even better on the weight gain. I know it wasn't all from brussel sprouts. I'll bet it was ice cream. What's your go-to flavor?? I am forever on a quest to find the penultimate coconut ice cream. When that fails, it's coffee (of any sort, and better with chocolate chips) or mint chocolate chip.
Let the ice cream wars begin!
-
Anne, I LOVE pralines and cream ice cream. YUM!
-
Baskin-Robbins Baseball Nut. The best, but they only have it in the summer during baseball season. It's old fashioned raspberry ripple with cashews. YUM!!
-
Blue Bell pecan pralines 'n cream!
... and I have none in the house right now. ROAD TRIP!!!
Blue, I'm glad to see you're back from your tune-up, and even happier to hear it went smoothly.

Any flavour....any TIME! hehe
-
Anne -- I'm with you! Coffee ice cream, preferably Hagen-Daz (but I haven't had it since finishing chemo and discovering that devil LDL). Favourite flavour for any sweet thing is a coffee/chocolate combo - with maybe a little cinnamon thrown in!
-
I vote for Haagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark. I think it is sold only at Christmas time. Yummy.

That's it! Headed to the grocery store. Must have ice cream. But wait! I can't or I won't get my fat behind into the dresses on the cruise. Grrrrrrr.
-
Wonderful news Blue!
Chocolate, chocolate or chocolate. Did I say chocolate?
-
Otter, forgot to say..I LOVE THE PIC! Just when I think he can't get any more handsome...........he does!
-
Now I'm really getting hungry!! I like chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and mint chocolate chip! Notice the chocolate theme throughout!
Otter .. thanks for the pics!
Bren
Edited: Medigal, I asked DH about pigs feet .. and wouldn't you know it .. he loves them. After six years together, I had no idea he liked pigs feet. I wonder what other secrets he's hiding from me!!
-
How about chocolate chocolate chunk?
-
Congrats blue! Take it easy. I prescribe Ben & Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch...it would do wonders for you!
-
Has anyone had "gelato"?
-
Blue .. that looks really good .. is it like ice cream?
