will be praying for you, Meecie 3jays

Just spoke to Matt. His "Coumadin" dr. can't believe they want him to make two trips. She feels it is very dangerous to keep changing his schedule of coumadin and they should get it once and for all. levels are supposed to be between 2 and 3 for him and they have been 8.5 this week. It could run out of him like water! We should have a date no later than this coming Monday. I need this soon, but in Your time Lord, In YOUR time.
-
Meece, I hope he isn't doing anything that can cause a bleed; like kitchen detail, sports or hobbies!

No, he is well aware of the seriousness of this. He is being very careful. They won't let him work weekends now because he would be the onlyperson in that area on duty.

Matt's INR levels are back within normal range and we have a surgery date. February 9th. Praise the Lord. Now I just need to come up with a way to get there. I'd like to be there with him during his cardiologist visit. He'd like me there, too.

Yeah~Praise the Lord!

Thank God that it is not an emergency visit but a planned one. Godspeed!
-
It still makes it an expensive one, but Matt says that since I will be there as a caregiver I may get a discount on our hotel. With me unemployed every little bit will help.
-
I dont see any updates on Lisa's Carepage.
Does Anybody know how is she doing/
-
Meecie, that is GREAT news!
-
Meece, so glad that you will be able to get you will get to go. I will be praying about the money! I certainly understand that problem! Did I miss something or did you tell us what happened about the tests you had?
-
No, I have been waiting for insurance approval for the MRI. They called to schedule it today. I am to go down "south" on Wednesday for a bilateral MRI. There goes another $200 out of our budget for this years deductible. But I am blessed to have insurance.
Borrowed a little money from my parents to offset the airfare so DH will go with me.
How are YOU doing, Grace?

I had a good talk with PM "Lisa" today. As I feared, I woke her from a nap. But , she was willing to chat. She is unable to drive, so her kids are stepping in to help her get to appointments. She goes just about every day for fluids. That takes about an hour each time. They are trying to get her/keep her in a healthy level so she will be eligible for the trial drug. I believe she is back on chemo come next Monday.
She says hello to everyone and says she's doing o.k.
I think two requests would be in order as we seek His will. 1) that she remains healthy enough to qualify for the trial drug and that she is put on it soon to help bring the beast under control. 2) That they would be able to make an equitable sale of their multi-level home so they can move into a single level home where she can get around better. These are two areas we discussed and although there are many things which could enrich her right now, these stuck out in our conversation.
If any of you would like to send off a card to her, PM me and I will give you her address. Short encouraging notes would be welcomed, but reading is overwhelming for her right now and I doubt long poetry would be appropriate.
-
Thanks Meece.
-
No problem. I enjoy talking with her, and am happy to pass on info. She wants everyone to know she is doing okay.
-
So happy to find this place...I am having DIEP March 1. Bilateral reconstruction.
-
Our prayers will be with you.
-
Marxi, we will keep you in our prayers. Any surgery is frightening and if we can give you encouragement and support, please let us know.
(Good Morning, Chabba)
-
Thank you so much for the welcome. Your prayers are appreciated and I will pray for all of you as well.
-
Meece, I am so glad your DH is going with you!!! Like a solid rock at your side as you melt at the sight of your son in the hospital. I truly cannot imagine how that will feel. I was torn apart when my daughters were in labour!
PM has been in my prayers for a while. I'd better kick it up a notch. Thanks for the update.
-
PM, PM'd me a little note this morning. I know how difficult it was for her and I will just say, she's a fighter.
-
I want to mention another thing about PM. She ALWAYS asked about how I am, and Matt. And she ALWAYS sends her best to the ladies of BC.org.
-
Only 3 pages behind.
I am reading a daily devotional and trying real hard to walk a He would want us to walk. Your inspiration here is helpful too. I miss going to Church but do watch online at times. It's just not the same.
Hugs, Prayers to all!
