Wow, wow, wow - I can't believe how busy this thread has become!!!
Faithie - Thank you so so much for your unbelievably generous offer - I am so grateful. At present I don't have any plans for taking holidays but I would seriously consider taking you up on the offer if the occasion arose - although I imagine FL might be too hot for our pale, pasty Irish complexions - I don't handle heat too well!!! But, oh my goodness, what an offer - you are so kind!!!!
Road Runners it is Sheila!!! By the way if you want to put an accent on a letter (á) - and btw it's called a 'fada' in Irish - you press the 'alt gr' key at the same time as the letter as in éaniní.
And now the moment of truth - Meece my weigh in today has me at 139.11 lbs - I hope I'm not too late in the day for you - I weigh in the morning but I usually don't have an opportunity to post until Friday night. Now I worked out my exercise at 465 mins this week. I'm not much into water but I do start every day with a glass of water. What is considered a healthy intake of water and does it have to be just ordinary water or does any calorie free liquid count? Hmmm and did I do anything else to try and encourage a healthier lifestyle - I got DH to hide the peanut butter - does that count???
Oh there were so many other things I wanted to comment on but I'd better post this now so that I'm not too late.
Welcome to all the new birdies (éaniní!!) and good luck to everyone for the coming week!!
-
Oh I forgot to say what my goal was Meece - I've lost quite a bit to date but haven't learned how to maintain my new weight yet but maybe I could lose another 10 to 12 lbs - or that may be very wishful thinking. Actually Sheila will probably hate having me on her team because I have most of my losing done and have found it increasing difficult to lose weight now that I have come this far - sorry Sheila.
Oh and 2000 posts ---- wohoo!!!!
Must try and find the BC Org FB page - I did 'like' that page before but I don't get any news from them and maybe I'll find some of you lot on FB too!!
-
I couldn't make thefada, but won't stop trying.
The Roadrunners have 510 minutes of exercise this week. Good job RRs!
-
Try 'ctrl' and 'alt' buttons at the same time as the letter you want a fada over ááá ééééé ííííí óóóó úúúúú - did you never use fadas when you were posting in Irish???? I never noticed that !!!! How unobservant of me!!!!
510 mins of exercise - does that equate to 17 points??
-
I made the irish post's in word, then transferred them. I know how to make fadas in word.
-
17 points is on the button! Good going RoadRunners!
-
Oh Ainm...I'm proud of you. You can be my inspiration
My exercise is considered of walking lots of walking.
How do i put that in minutes.
Lets say i walked 3 miles one day what does it mean?
I used to ask DD to hide things from me. now I dont buy them.
Occasionally i need to have Goldfish and some chocolate.
-
Ladies who are having problems seeing BCO posts on FB.
I have a question Do you have BCO logo under your friends name?. I do and everytime they post something comes to the page.
Like Law and Order my favorite TV Show...every day they post something on my page.
-
I exercised 185 min this week, drank two bottles (liters) of water each day and started to remove goodies from my life. I also lost a pound.
-
I had trouble doing my favorite outdoor walking exercise this week because it was cold and then it snowed again today. I only managed to get in 3 half hour long walks, and two one and a half hour yoga classes.
I am starting where I am at this mornings' weight of 188.2.

****Oh and AINM, you are most welcome.
I think you'd have more fun up in WI, where we are on a 60 mile long peninsula of pine trees: a block from the sundown over the harbor of Green Bay and 6 miles across the hill from the sunrise over Lake MI.
There's all sorts of Arts: theatre, music, galleries -- you name it
Golf, fishing and boating/skiing/water sports abound.
We just have a two bedroom place but you're welcome to the second bedroom whenever you wanna claim it. You would either fly into the city of Green Bay or the city of Milwaukee.
You're the generous one to share your story & victory, even in the midst of the realities of juggling your mother into the story. Congrats!!! I am quite sincere & you're welcome to PM for more details. I keep a blog and have hundreds of pictures of the natural beauty up there, search on Door County.

48 ounces of water today!!!
Walked back and forth to the bathroom 6 times today...does that count as exercise???
I sit on a ball at work - have to keep balance all day long and occasionally when I get excited about something I bounce for a few minutes...can that be considered exercise???
Hummmm... walked to the bank to make todays deposit instead of driving...10 minutes there, 10 minutes back.

In a weeks time my weight can vary from 150 to 160 with 155 being the mos common reading. I won't be reporting weigh-ins unless it goes over 160 and stays there at least a couple of days.
With my habit of a meat and potato diet like that I grew up with I can often go a week or more without any fruit or veggie. Yesterday I had 3 fruits and 1 veggie. Today (mid-afternoon) I've had 2 fruit servings and one veggie. Not much but I'm trying.
-

Meece, thought I reported my exercise this week - any case, it was total 4 hours or 240 mins). I also ate mostly fruit and veggies and cut out carbs by 80%.
Now going down for a short walk on the treadmill. Back later.
-
Score for the Roadrunners has been unpdated
-
I must be loosing it hahahahaha
When I saw Faith reporting pray and points next to it I thought if you prayed today you got extra points
Meece...thanks for the cashew points
-
lalalalalalalalalala
hahahahahahaha
well maybe praying should earn points??
............. i'm just sayin' -- whatever works.................
-
Way to go - RoadRunners.
Sayla, I do 1.5-2 miles in 30 mins depending on my motivation but the point count is on mins not miles so you can just keep track of your time to report here.
edited to respond that praying gets points elsewhere. Meece has enough to count.
-
I agree with Patoo, but i think Seyla wanted to translate her three miles this week to Lab-points. How much time do you think it tokk, Seyla?
-
patoo...from my house to Costco is 1 mile each way. I can do it probably in 20 minutes.
Does that mean RT= 40 minutes of exercise?
-
I didn't report my exercise either (sorry, and I'm supposed to lead a team???)
I did 2 hours of exercise this week. I have to do anything I can to get team Cranes up there
-
Meece...Little over 1 hour. does it count if i stop at the store.
Does it have to be straight walking with no stops?
-
That works for me, Seyla.
I am not near the spread sheet right now so I will add it a bit later. . I will update the cranes soon.
If Mimi doesn't show up soon, would you be willing to add the "NeedaName" gals to your team, suz?
-
Now that we're sorta getting this whole thing sorted out.............
Do you think that we should 'redivide' the people????
Honest to goodness, I'm not trying to be difficult, but I feel bad for the Cranes of 2. Though Mum did announce her weight, so that seems like she could be a Crane.
I just don't want the Cranes to get off to a slow start, waiting for more folks to show up.
We could declare this a 'practice' week -- as in, this is how we're gonna do it...... and now that we have it figured out -- let's get going.
I need more clarification around the water, Meecie.
LOL: Pattoo around the praying points.
