Thinking Out Loud.....

Yes Linda I should said PT.
-
I don't know what time zone I am on - rads has really screwed me up in terms of rest. I am pretty fatigued and dont recover and then when I force myself I get a burst of energy, power through something or other and then collapse. I went to bed a 8, fell asleep by 9:15, woke up at 1 and 3 a.m. stayed up till 5, munching on cereal in bed at 4:30 and watching the news then crashed again until 7"45. So dysfunctional! I need some ambien, is that what you use Linda? I worry about habitforming....should I not worry?
Wish I could go back to bed now instead of getting ready for #11....
-
See you Later All.................
-
have a good day all!!
-
You too Sandy!! Where are you headed Sheila?? BBB guy calling your name??
I don't take ambien. I'm not sure if there was a drug interaction with tamox or not. I take gabapentin which stops my night sweats and hot flashes....thank GOD! They were so bad I could not sleep at all. One of the side effects of gaba is it makes me sleepy. I also take lorazepam as needed and that chills me out.
I did 33 rads with 6 boosts. I know everyone is different but when I was going through it I kept thinking I was supposed to be fatigued. I think I was the first week or so because of the stress of the unknown of rads. Then by week 3 I had bursts of energy, I think because I was comfortable with the rads ( I was petrified of them before I started). I sailed through the rest of them and really was okay, even taking care of the kids and volunteering at the schools multiple times a week in 2 different schools. When it was all over (the rads), I was still fine. Then about a month later.....I crashed and burned! I was so tired all the time. I don't know why. I don't know if it was the rads that just ended or the tamox that I just started. I hope you sail through yours too!
From your old east coast friend!
-
I am going to be fine, I know that. This is week 3 and they said that this is when I might get hit. Also, I think, much as I love him, having a houseguest for 5 weeks was a bit tiring as I feel the need to do everything and take care of everyone. Starting today, that is over
Maybe I will ask about the gaba next week with rad onc.
-
Don't you mean my younger east coast friend
-
LOL!! Younger than DEb apparently!
Not sure they will give you the gaba to help you sleep. Ask and they will let you know. It's actually and epilepsy med that the found stops hot flashes. I was put on Effexor originally for them but had an allergic reation so they took me off immediately. Not fun!
A bottle of wine works too!
-
Or Godiva chocolate liqueur....mmmmm. I gotta get some more o' that.
Second quarter is coming to an end soon. Midterms are early this year for some reason. I'm starting to panic about my DD doing everything she needs to do to get into college!
-
Hi chris..are you getting the same snow we are/
Diane...I was also on Neurontin generic name Garabantin for completely different reasons.
finally one of my DR said i want you to come of this and she didnt understand why I was put on.
I no longer take it. It could be that without even knowing it helped my hot flashes I didnt really have.I do take Klonopine for my anxiety disorder which makes me sleepy at night time. Like I take it at 11PM every night by 1 Im sleepy. But its addictive. PM me if you need more information.
-
That's a good question, Sheila. Weatherchannel.com says we could get some decent snow, but local guys haven't updated their forecast since this morning and it says only the southern 4 counties are under an advisory. I'm just north of there. Sounds like we could get some heavy snow. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it plays out. Better get to the package store for my chocolate liqueur! Which I shouldn't have because I haven't recovered from all the eating I did from Christmas to New Year's. Leftover soup and stew tonight - with more crescent rolls to make the kids happy.

RCG,foots is one of our sistahs, footprintangels aka Debbie Greely. She lives in Auburn WA.
-
My DD's BF's parents bought my DH and I a tin of All Butter Fruit Flapjacks from Harrods. I'm beginning to like them too much.
They have oatmeal and raisins and other good stuff in them.
-
I don't think I have encountered her yet - but I will be watching now
Are you having a wonderful visit with DD?
-
Yes indeed. She will be staying with us until the beginning of March.
Foots is on the thread, "Power of Prayer" most of the time. She is younger that I. She has a lot of pain and I really don't know her diagnosis it is not posted below her posts.
-
Foots has lots of health problems (breast cancer and other tumors) and asks for our prayers. She is such a sweet and loving sister. She prays for EVERYONE!! It's is a blessing to have 'met' her. Please keep her in your prayers!
-
I remember her saying something about colon cancer she had a while ago. We all love her so much.
I have met a lot of BC sistahs, most in the chat room. We all met in Vegas in 2008 and we have lost 3 beautiful ladies from that group.
-
I would love to have that opportunity Deb, you are very lucky.
-
Prayers Foots.....watching Bridges of Madison County again, love the movie, have a good night!!!
-
