I'd love a little sun and surf right now.  We ended up with 5 inches.  An old friend stopped in this weekend, he's from Syracuse, said he had 4 feet in his backyard.  Karen

We got about .3" yesterday.  Maybe some more on the way today.  Still expecting a high of 50.  Our rain total for this rain season is now over 8".  Drought, drought , go away!

It's in the low 30's here in WNY, got 5 inches yesterday instead of the 2 predicted.  We are actually having some periods of sunshine today, makes you feel so much better.  Karen

It's a beutiful day in Western Washington! I took my 60 mile road trip to see the PS this morning for another TE fill (I'm almost done!). Mount Rainer was clear as a bell, covered with snow and made for beautiful scenery for the drive to Tacoma. The frost makes everything glisten. It's about 30 degress out right now (10 a.m.). Love this part of the country! Mountains in the winter and beaches in the summer!

RainCityGirl is from Belvue, WA and was saying how beqtiful Mt. Rainier was behind the city.  Sounds like quite a scenic view.

I lived in Olympia for nearly 25 years. No matter where you live on Puget Sound you see mountains but to every one living there Rainier is always The Mountainto every one that lives there.  Instead of commenting on having a beautiful day or a sunny day most people's first comment regarding good weather is something like the Mountain is out today, or isn't the Mountain beautiful today.

Chabba sounds beautiful. My family has vacationed in the Adirondack mountains for years so I can visualize your description. In WNY,  today we had a dusting of snow but cold 20's. Waiting for spring, crocus, tiger lilies, rhododendrons, daisies, strawberries, tomatoes and the end of chemo and radiation.....one can dream Wink

Snow in Los Angeles?  The weather has gone mad!!  We had a dusting of snow last night and temp is at it's high for the day of 32 degrees, we'll be dropping fast all day until we're in the teens or single digits by tonight.

Maureen, I remember when I went through chemo and radiation I started in late spring and kept thinking I'll be done in the fall.  It was the ONLY time I was excited for the fall to come.

Snow in LA,  I don't ever remember snow in LA!!   Do they have any equipment to handle snow, if not that will be a mess to control roadways, etc...

In WNY and just watching the snow again, due all week.  The kind that's pretty but slippery.  It's forecasted to snow all week, every day, bring on the vitamin D :)

Suzette,  I hold to the thought of spring and my DS graduating from HS because I'll be done, other than check ups etc....sometimes I wish I had the masectomy vs. lumpectomy although I know it's a much more difficult surgery.  Anyway fall actually is my favorite time of year, only time I love living in this area because it's so pretty when the season changes and temps cool and air conditioning goes off and open the window for the hot flashes :)  This fall was a blur with so I'll really enjoy next fall....I hope.

I hope that for you as well, Maureen.

Still expecting low 50s here today.  I was cold when I woke up then I realized it was 32!  I then became freezing even though I am indoors at 68.

Thank you.  Just on the waiting game now.  I am really sore today and have a visit to the chiro this morning.  I think I will bow out because I cannot imagine laying on my tummy right now.

We're supposed to have 2-5 inches of lake effect snow today, tonight and tomorrow morning.  Yuk!  Our high today is 19 degrees.  Did I ever mention that I HATE winter? Wink

Well suzette - here's some vicarious summer living for you.  I visited my elderly Mum in the city I grew up in a few days ago and the temp reached 90!!! one day.  There was a hot wind blowing too and that made it seem hotter.  The next day was only 73 which seemed cool.  79 predicted for us today but the clouds have rolled in so don't think it will reach that.

Sheila - glad to hear your driveway has finally cleared.

Meece - hope your back comes right quickly.

Snow in LA - the weather has gone mad!

Well, predicting snow, freezing rain and ice for Georgia tonight and Monday.  Because we have year-end auditors around, I have to spend the night (and maybe tomorrow night too), in town, as it is unlikely I would be able to get in to the office again if I went home.

However, I have just returned from visiting the family in sunny South Africa, (Cape Town), where it was warm, though windy.

Keep warm folks, and read gardening catalogs... Spring will soon be here!?

(Also waiting for results of PET/CT scan on Friday - I have a growing lump on my neck, right where one of the previous TNBC-infected lymph nodes was excised last June.)

Right now I have 25 degrees outside with another winter storm warning in effect tonight through Monday into Tuesday Morning. Snow is expected to start falling around midnight and through most of tomorrow with change over to sleet and freezing rain toward the end of the storm. We are expecting 3-6 inches snow with ice on top. The temps are not expected to get above freezing all week. This has been a 'fun' winter so far.

Last winter my son tried to come up the driveway and had me video it on his new camera. We had about 6 inches of snow that day. I forgot he posted it on Youtube.

You may have to cut and paste the link to get it to work. I was about halfway up the driveway when I fell. Yes that is me laughing after I slip in the snow I landed on my butt and I managed to save the camera from hitting the ground.
