I had few Hershey kissed last night. They were absolutely delicious.
I'm not loosing but not gaining it either.

-
Meece and Sheila I am right there with you both I am holding steady at 158... not gaining or losing!
-
Mimi, will you be "gaining" tomorrow? Holding your hand and praying for peace for you and skill for your physicians.
-
((((((((((((((((((Renee))))))))))))))))
Thinking of you. Wishing you every wonderful outcome.

Hopefully Renee will be feeling good enough tomorrow to give us an update.

Thinking of you Renee!!!!!

Hi Birdies! Hope mimi1964's surgery went well and she is resting nicely today. Let the healing begin! I made you all some virtual holiday treats. I know, I know...I should have made some more cardinals so that they looked more Christmas-y. What was I thinking?
Don't worry, they are as low cal. as can be. All my virtual baked goods have ZERO calories.
-
Elimar - darm those cookies are just to cute!
-
Hi fellow birdies! No i didn't gain I lost... LOL!! I had a lollipop (that's the type of incision he did) breast reduction and lift on the good left breast and a lift and on the cancer right breast I had a lift and a straightening of tissue. The radiation and partial mastectomy left my right breast and areola pulled to the far right pointing towards the inside of my arm. I was a mess to say the least. Anyway, the procedure was not as bad as I thought and the pain is controllable with pain meds. When the doctor came in this morn and took off the bandages I got a sneak peek, other than being really swollen they don't look to bad. The left is more swollen than the right, but he had to do more to the left than to the right. I know he told me he was going to use some liposuction to shape the left breast. My DH said that the doc also told him when he cut into the skin on my rads breast that the tissue underneath looked like a piece of wood. Go figure!!
So that is how I spent my Monday.

It's great to hear from you Renee! Glad the surgery went well and was successful.
-
Suz, Had to follow you over here just to see what you might write...Aha-ha-ha! My lips are sealed!
-
Thanks E - As I said on the middles thread - NO SCALE for me this week!
-
Ladies I didn't weigh in this week either I'm afraid it would have went up with all the swelling I am having in the breasts area. Take care!!
Renee
-
Well I plan on weighing in in the morning. I made Linzer cookies today, but only ate one. Glad you are up and about, Mimi.
-
Have a Mery Christmas ELAB sisters!

(((SISTERS)))
-
Cute Penguins Sheila... love them!!
-
Merry Christmas, Birdies.
May your day be merry and bright and without a scale in sight.
-
-
No scale here today Meece... I have been "naughty"
eating homemade brownies with my fave/nuts and caramel (yummy!), and boiled peanuts. Waiting on my mom to make some homemade soup. I guess that will be our Christmas dinner. LOL! We have a big dinner tomorrow with family and had one last weekend.
Hugs to all of you and hope that the day has been everything you wished for... Mine certainly has! A White Christmas (which we never get here in the south), Christmas with my family, Christmas miracles of B9 lung MRI a few weeks ago and some lovely presents under the tree. The most precious gift is life!
Happy Birthday Jesus!!

No, I won't be weighing in this week either. I ate and overate today. My downfall was the bacon wrapped stuffed dates. I think this was the best Christmas in many years. It was frugal, but so loving!
-
Santa brought me a new digital scale. Don't think I'll take it out of the box til the New Year.
-
Hehehe!
Santa brought me a couple of dresses that fit! Looking forward to taking them in!
-
I think I'll boycott the scale until the first Friday in January. I've been exceptionally bad and the wine I've been enjoying hasn't helped my case. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I did and I agree with Meece, this was the best Christmas in many years!
-
I will use the scale reading today as incentive to be good today with all the leftovers here.

LAB-Buddies................
We've gotta work extra hard this week so that we can ring in the New Year in style & on a happy face note.
We are settling into our FL home for the big transition.
On an up-note is our work out facility.
We went yesterday to break the Christmas slide into calories.
Today I discovered a machine I didn't know was there. Sorta like a stair stepper, I suppose. It's all lower body, but I found I'm burning twice the calories as per the treadmill.
So today I was able to 'walk' it for a 15 minute block.... which translated to 100 calories at the pace I was moving.
We are now in the ideal position: time available, machines available and home cooking. I'm so happy with the momentum we've made over the last months!!! Yippee!!!
We had oatmeal for dinner last night and have it slated again for tomorrow, so tonight I can enjoy my glass of wine and smile amist the first of the empty boxes.
xx00xx00xx
I put on some lipstick, I'm so delighted.
-
Congrats on empty boxes. I looked at my garge today. Four years in this house and still have boxes. I figure if I haven't needed it in four years it should go, but then...Memories. Going to work hard at tossin' them out.
-
Meecie, we have hundreds of boxes packed away in the basement of our house in Ohio -- all of the holiday boxes & all of the "old" stuff from the kids growing up.............
That wasn't even a part of coming down here, until we finally "sell" the Ohio house, it can stay stored there for a while longer & not be dealt with.
These boxes had all of the kitchen gear: today I unpacked things like muffin tins, cookie racks, cassarole dishes -- stuff that's not imperative to have available (for the last two winters) but makes sense to have now that we're here for the duration.
Oh!!!
And wine glasses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got the bathroom stuff mostly sorted as well.
Now we have to build the "closet" (where I've had my 'studio' the last two winters.) We've moved me into the extra bedroom & today purchased the kit to 'build' the closet...... so then we will start "moving in" to that space.
-
I will raise my glass to you, Faithie. You know how to handle the boxes. I have lots of the boys stuff we are holding until they get homes of their own, not overseas or just a room rented. I watched some "Hoarders" while I was cleaning today, and I never want to get that way, thus my resolve to start getting serious with the garage. I have been pretty good in the house, except my sewing room, but even that is coming along. Finishing a quilt can make so much more room!
-
Meece and Faith that's one of my new years resolutions is to get rid of so many things that I have cluttering up space in my house. There are clothes and shoes that we haven't worn in years that need to go! As for weighing in I'm with elimar!! gonna wait till after the new year. haha!! I have over indulged in junk foods sitting at home for the last week and a half. Also add all the swelling in from the surgery and it makes for not a pretty picture on the scale.
