Sharon, I'm here!!!......Good Good News!......DH got a job!......He started 2 weeks ago and i just haven't had time to post.......
Night Shiny!.....
Hmmmm..Where to start with me personally?.....Well, had biopsy yesterday...it was just below my rifgt breast near my rib...Rib has been sore a while.....Usually BS says everything looks fine but this time after she was done she just silently left the room.....Went to Oncologist for check up today and now have to have a bone scan......She touched my breast bone and it was instant searing pain.......So......
Does anyone know what low EFGR means and what exactly does CKD mean in regards to it?......ZCould it mean Chronic Kidney Disease?.......I HAVE been getting UTI's a lot lately......I NEVER get UTI's.........Huge Sigh........Does this never end.......
By the way my friend with bone mets is doing well...Thank you for all your prayers for her and ,y DH.......
What would I do without you all?????.........
-
Holy Holly!!! So good to hear from you sweetie!!!
There has been a bunch of us that seem to get chronic UTI's....very strange!
Dr. Google says that the EFGR is related to kidney function. You got something brewin' darlin'?
I have been diagnosed with Costochondritis which is inflamation of the rib. It IS very painful so don't be surprised if that's what it turns out to be. Not cancer, just a gift from the surgery.....
Don't be such a stranger!!!!! We ALL missed you...don't make me come down there!
-
Lol...Barbe... what Barbe said..."don't make us come down there" Good to see you EWB! You too, Holly. Keep us updated!
Sweet dreams Shiny.... zzzzzzzzzzz
(((((((((((((((((((((Hugs to all the dustbunnies))))))))))))))))))
-
barbe....Well it did say something about CKD......I think that means chronic kidney disease......I am having it checked again and willknow more later this week...myEGFR level was 56...thank you so much!!.....
-
Lucy, Elaine, good to see you. Lucy glad for your DH news. Sorry you are having so much trouble though.
Shiny, are you getting snowed upon? Any word on when tests will be done?
Gentle dusty bun hugs to all.
-
((((((((((((((((((((HUGS TO ALL DUSTBUNNIES)))))))))))))))))))) !!!!
Hey, update on my great newphew who had the open heart surgery.... (9 yrs. old) He's out of the comma and he's talking... they were really concerned about brain damage... Come to find out three days after the surgery he suffered a cardiac arrest. He's weak on his right side, but things are looking up! PTL!!!!
Thanks for your prayers...
-
Arnie, wonderful news!.......Many hugs and blessings to your nephew.....Our God is an awesome God!....
-
Holy, holy!!! PTL is right!
-
Arnie, what great news!!
-
Hopping through a number of pages again. The radiation schedule gives me day doing nothing, radiation from 4 to 8 (with ride times with Sally the Scooter). I fell off Sally last Friday so have a sprained wrist to add to the woes. But they say I need this, so.......
-
(((((Dream))))
-
umm Dream..weren't you wearing your seatbelt? do those things have seatbelts?
Arnie - that is great news. so scary esp when a little one is involved. My Caity had some really delicate sensitive surgery when she was 9 and there were all kinds of possible bad things that could have happened but the worst turned out to be that she lost most hearing in one ear and that has not been a big deal for her...we all adjusted quickly and even forget some times. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Lucy - FAB about hubby's job!!
-
I read in a book "the Slob Sisters" (probably not in publication anymore) that if you keep your living room clean or whatever room someone walks into when they enter the house and your kitchen SINK clean. (no matter what the rest of your kitchen looks like) Any visitor that comes over will think your house is clean.
I have also been known to throw everything under the couch, chairs, and in the dishwasher (not just dishes) when company drops in at the last minute
-
I like that thought!
-
I'd need a dishwasher in every room.
-
I must admit, I'm the kind of person that when we go up for the night, I go around and straighten pillows and throws so we come down to a clean room. Or in case the ambulance has to come get me in the middle of the night the cute guys in uniform won't think I'm useless! heeheheheheh
I don't like dishes on the counter, I'd rather them in the sink. I keep the soap under the sink hidden away and the drains and scrubbies in the sink, not on the top. Makes the kitchen look so much cleaner without really doing anything....
-
Thank you, thank you ladies for all your good wishes.... it never ends, though. I just took my daughter to the doctor because she was really sick. They made me take her right to urgent care because she was so hydrated they couldn't even draw blood from her. I dropped her off at the ER and brought Lilah home. Fortunately the ER is in the same building that I go see my onocologist at 3:00 p.m. sooooooooooooooo I'll go get her when she calls.... Ok... I wanna break!!!!
-
OH ARNIE!!! What the heck is going on?
HUGS Sistah.
-
Arnie, lovey..bless her, your nephew and little Lilah and YOU. Please God, a super dooper peaceful time is right around the corner for you all.
I just wrote you all a "proper" post, then, computer "zapped it" grrrr!
Fraid the upper abdominal pain is "on board" at the mo, am in bed, and so will not attempt to re do my "together post".
So, hollyann, so glad you dh has got a new job.and so true what barbe said, and I have experienced the same, pain, issues, often not mets. Hang in there, sounds like they are taking care of you.xx
Barbe, sharon, no haven't got ct yet, should hear in the next week of so. Consultant was hoping to get me in there before my thoracic re consult mid month, so that that specialist would benefit from haing the ct results also. I hope they ct my chest whilst they are at it..once in the tube..why not! next Tuesday will get my wee little day case proceedure to take out a cyst in my good eye's lid. It WILL make things "interesting for a few days whilst I have a patch on it, as it truly is my only useful eye.. the other one is full of retinal scaring, so everything looks like cooked spagetti on that side..no, not to worry..will not drive! he he.
Hope they finally get to the bottom of the cause of this pain. We shall see.
sending you my love,
Shiny
-
Shiny you better not drive!!!! Girlfriend...things gotta start getting better for you too! ((((hugs)))
Sorry I melted down earlier... I just got home a bit ago and my daughter has been admitted to the hospital. They're trying to figure out why she's soooooo dehydrated. They gave her two bags of fluid while I sat with her and only put out very little urine and it was very concentrated. They're going to keep giving her intravenous fluids tonight and then we'll see how she is in the morning. I'm sitting here writing this with "much" noise in the background. The kidlets are here and Trent is playing with my son Jeff with the hero figures and Lilah is playing with her poppa with the blocks.
My onocologist is sending me to a "pain managment" center to try to get me on the right meds.
I didn't read back, but wanted to give an update... thanks for letting me "vent".
xoxoxo
-
((((Arnie)))) I sent you an email.
-
Hugs Arnie! She's in the best place to get her fluids up. Hopefully they will get her feeling better asap. I pray the pain clinic will sort you out, any tips coming from them need to passed on here, for the lemonette crew. Hang in there with the grand kidlets! Perhaps you could play doctor in a wee while. Just get them to lie you down on the couch, wrap you up in a quilt with arms and legs sticking out. Then give then pillow cases and old ties etc to wrap around you. Let them put moisturizer on your limbs, as medicine, whilst you keep your eyes closed and occasionally answer "yes doctor and no doctor" an then get grand dad to bring the patient a cup of tea. Later you could play, make up shop. Let them gently layer loads of make up on, the more the longer you can keep your eyes closed. Then, eventually get them to take it off with beauty wipes, and start again. Hope this helps keep the baby sitting from really wearing you right out!
Walked to school in the snow, going back in 2 hours so best get some chores done!
Sharron, you are up too early! get your coffee and back to bed lovey!
xx

((((((((((((((((Hug to all you dustbunnies))))))))))))))
Shiny, (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) I definetly will pass on any info they give me. He just wants me to go to this "specialty" pain clinic to a particular doctor to make sure I'm taking the right meds, etc. My onocologist is such a sweetheart.... I truly think he hurts when you hurt... THANKS, for all the great ideas for the kidlets! We played with blocks last night, made fortresses and had fun. I don't even remember trying to fall asleep last night, lol... Actually, it's funny you mentioned the make-up. On the way home from the ER with Lilah (so I could get ready to go to the onocologist), I stopped at a local store and let her pick out something. She picked out a make-up kit for little girls. We came home and I opened it up for her, put a mirror in front of her, and went to change. I started the soup for the evenings meal and she came around the corner and had sooooooooooo much make-up on! I had to stiffle my laughter and tell her she looked beautiful! lol DD said, "Ohhhh mom did you get a pic..." No, I was too busy but wish I had. She was so proud of herself...lol HOW MUCH SNOW DO YOU HAVE??? Eeeks, I don't know if I'm ready for that yet. We've had flurries but hasn't stuck on the ground yet.... yet.... lol
Hope you all have a blessed day...
-
Arnie, holding your daughter in my prayers still and hoping they have an answer for you today that is cheap and easy!
-
This made my morning:
"See that's the beauty of it Pam, We're all embarassed for anyone to come into our house. We're all in the same boat so no one can point any fingers!"
THANK YOU!!!
Lisa

Jiminy crickets! A lot is going on!
Lucy ... so glad your DH found a job - that's awesome!
Arnie ... so glad your great nephew is doing better ... and so sorry to hear about your DD.
Shiny ... hope you are feeling better soon.
Barbe ... I also love a clean house - as long as someone else is cleaning it!
Let's face it ladies - housework is overrated! Also overrated is sanity, reality and 'normalcy.'
-
Hi all you sweet Bunnies!!!!
Just wanted to pop in and say hello. It seems I've missed alot.
I'm at work today, so I'm hoping to get caught up with everyone. Just don't tell my boss (DH) that I'm visiting my sistahs on company time.........LOLOL.
Think of you all every single day!! Hope everyone had a wondermous Thanksgiving.
(((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

-
Same to you Coonie!
xx Thinking of you and your dear daughter too! Hope her yr 3s are being good little boys and girls! What age range are they?
hug and peachy vibes all, in a rush to get dinner on. DH is here for a few days and for those who asked, yes we have had a good lot of snow.. not as much as last year..yet! I love it! Xmas fair number 2 has been cancelled for tomorrow due to weather but apparently we are going to be having another celebration event and fair in the new year, so that could be quite exciting for the kids when everywhere else it is just January blues, we shall be having a brill celebration and recycling any unwanted or excess "xmass things" to make money for the school!.. I do have rather alot of Blueberries in the house now that I do not have to bake for the cake stall.. guess my DH and kids won't complain! any great websites for fab muffins..send my way, am due for a change.
xx bless you all and stay warm
ps: been trying really hard to keep on top of the house this week and decluttering, "mom" would be pleased. Hope she is well.

Shinyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! It's soooooooo good to hear from you. I think about you all the time!!
DD is having a good year. It's been a challenge. She started with 19 students, and just this week they gave her 12 more. Sooooooooooo she's got a total of 31 kids......8 and 9 year olds. She's loving being a teacher though. Comes home with a story everyday:)
Enjoy your DH while he's home. Hope we can catch up soon (real chat). Give the little ones hugs from Auntie Coonie
.......same for the kitties:)
Take care of YOU Shiny!!!! I'll be glad to see you get all put back together and feeling your peachiest!!!!! xoxoxoxo
