Today is my 7 year cancerversary!  Starting on counting down to 8.  If I can do this, surely I can lose a little weight, right?

    Thank you.

I weighed yesterday and it appears that the holiday made my weight 164!  I'd better really start dancing.  I made cookies and fudge with "my kids" yeasterday. Since some are going home today, I'd better send cokies with them.

You guys were brave to even peak at the scales on Fri. I wasn't that brave. I did look yesterday and again today. Today I was THRILLED to see 138.6!!!! Which is nearly down to my all-time ELAB low.

We are in the car and heading east. (Laptop hooked to aux power & sun SHINING in my eyes.)

This is my NYC week & so won't be around a scale on Fri, but will be exposed to every opportunity to eat that you can imagine.

Hubby has now lost just over 25 pounds since we started & I'm down 15 since the very beginning of the year (pre-ELAB start-up.)

In any case, we've both worked really hard to get to this point of the year.

Now this is where the rubber meets the road (literally) and we are going to do our best to make wise choices in the BIG Apple.

Buckling on my seat belt for the week ahead.

Here's to good choices for the whole team.

Hope you're enjoying the Big Apple Faith.  Congratulations on the weight loss.

I was too chicken to get on the scale Friday so I weighed in on Sunday.  Ugh!  133#.  I keep going in the wrong direction.  I've really buckled down for the past three days and I'm keeping up with the exercise so hopefully I'll see a decrease on Friday.

Have a wonderful week staying on the wagon.

I have been bad the past couple days, so I'd better buckle down and eat better.  The partial bag of Cheetos in the pantry has been polished off, so the temptation is now gone.

Hi ladies I am checking in. My weight is up to 159 after the Thanksgiving holidays and 2 big meals at families.  :(  What to do.... Hop back on that wagon! Its going to be hard to do it during the holidays for all of us.  But we can perservere (sp).  I had made up my mind that today I was going to start back on the right track to pound loss and what did I just do... Eat a piece of left over pecan pie.  :(:(:(:(!!!!! Bad... Oh well tomorrow is another day.

    Love to all my sisters!

I think I will actually bring in my stationary bike indoors tomorrow.  Maybe schedule a specific amount of peddling.

Finally after more than a week I trained my brain.

I didn't eat any junk food or sweet food or anything is not good for me food.

I'm on the wagon and really stuck with industrial strength glue.

Tomorrow DEC 1 will be 1 year of my diet anniversary.

    I was 173.6Surprised

July 2010 I reached my low 157 then I got nervous because was loosing a pound a week without trying. Which it was the biggest mistake.

My blood work is excellent and I'm trying.

Wagon is still empty......without you all LOL

I walked by those little 'Keeber Cheese with Peanut Butter' crackers that I love to devour while shopping today & none of them fell off the shelf into my cart.

That is a good thing. Sealed

I might need to borrow some of that industrial strength glue, Sheila, if you have any to spare. Just let me get out of my good jeans just in case I get too close to those Mint M&M's & try to get off the wagon, I won't rip them, tho ..... I could. just. slip. out. of. them. Terrible!  LOL

I need to clean out the fridge today.  I certainly hope I don't eat my way through the job.

Val and Sheila send some of that industrial strength will power and glue my way... I desperately need it.  My Christmas present to myself is going to be go to the weight doc and get an appetite suppressant.  It really does make a difference I don't eat if I'm not hungry, but I find myself starving by 10 a.m. every day and I eat a bowl of cereal at 6:30a.m.  HMMM don't know why.  gotta do something.

Meece I hope the refrigerator cleaning went well and you didn't eat everything you were throwing away.

faithie wish I had some of your magic will power and energy to exercise over here.

I didn't clean the fridge, I worked out in the yard for awhile.  My scale is really starting to scare me.  I ate 2 pieces of chicken, about about two quarts of water and juice, green beans about 2/3 cup of mashed potatoes and 2 Pop Tarts today.  (That was my way of cleaning the fridge and pantry) but the scale says 168+.  I am going to figure this out.  I didn't step on the scale again to see if it was a mis-read.  It panicked  me too much.

I watched the new season of Top Chef on t.v. tonight and didn't have a snack during the show.  With the metabolism of a sloth now, I don't dare.

I really need some super glue will power...when I started my BC journey I weighed 144 lbs and wore a size 8, I went shopping today for some pants that fit...1 yr and 6 months later I weigh 177 lbs and a size 14 is a little tight. Yell

I keep hoping and praying that now that the thyroid cancer is taken care of, maybe, just maybe I will stop gaining weight and start losing some.

Faith - I need some of that joy juice you are drinking :)

Michelle, when I started my journey I was about the same as you and got up to 170.  Mine has settled around my arms and my middle, some on my thighs, so I have gone from a size 8-10 to 10-12.  I would just be happy to get back to a 10.

I have had my cup of coffee with creamer today, and I will endeavor to drink only water for the rest of the day.

Meece - thanks for the support.  I get so frustrated and when I get frustrated I say "the hell with it' and just eat whatever I want.  I have never had weight issues, ever, prior to BC so it is a double whammy because I really don't understand complex carb vs regular carbs, good fats vs bad fats, lean vs not lean proteins, etc... and there is so much conflicting information out there.   I hate that what I eat, when I eat and how much I eat is always on my mind.

Today I diluted my flavored creamer with half and half to cut the sugar calories :)

That's something I wrestle with as well.  I never had to think about my wieght, and knew that if I ever did it would be tough.

I might think about the watering down of creamer, too.  I also may try flavored coffees instead.  I had them at DSs and they weren't too bad.  Not my regular cream with a little coffee, but not bad.

I don't see anybody weighing in yet...

One good thing about winter, it's a good time to make soups.  If you stay away from the cream soups, you can make some fabulous lo-cal creations.  I love lentils.  I'm making a red lentil soup today, with an assortment of veggies chopped in a food processor to go into it, so it will be smooth and pureed when done.  I don't know my soup terminology, but it won't be chunky.  Mine won't be vegetarian.  I threw in the bone from last night's steak for flavor.  The dog was unhappy about that.  Planning to serve with a (small) dollop of Greek yogurt and a fresh parsley sprig on top.  Can you picture it?   Mmmmm!!!!!

Elimar....We have the same recipe except the bone part. DD adds yogurt while I add fresh lemon juice. I even started to add a sweet potato for a creamier texture.

Now while we are on the subject and I'm really stuck on the wagon I hardly lost a pound the last 3 weeks.

I don't feel guilty because I'm really not cheating maybe the avocado

I have an excellent recipe for Weight Watchers taco soup.  I add lots of different beans and it is yummy.  Maybe that's what's for dinner on such a dreary day.  I weighed in at 163.4 in my jammies.  I will do an official weigh in when I go to the shower.

Elimar, please take a picture for us!

I love avocado, but feel I might as well suction cup them to my hips.  I know their type a fat is supposed to be better fat, but in excess it is still fat!
