I was listening to a sermon by Pastor Jack Hibbs about worship yesterday (Free to Worship pt 2). I was saying how God loves it when you talk about Him. It is a form of worship to talk about His works, and His love for us.
This is a place of worship.
He said to try to imagine God say (and I am going by memory here) "Hey, Michael, Hey Gabriel, quiet...they're talking about me!"

Meece, been thinking about your boy, is there anymore news? Hope he's doing okay.

I like the concept of "Wherever two or more are gathered in My name" being a "church". I think we always have a service going on here.
Enjoy your chili and wine today Meece, but remember to update us on Matt when you hear.

Hello Ladies,
Your thread name caught my eye because I sing this song in church for special a lot and of course just about every morning as I stroll through my garden. I didn't read all 43 pages of this thread but I do believe it is one that I will add to my favorites. Meece, your post on worship is right on. My pastor once taught us that if you want to get God's attention.....worship Him. It is the one thing that will cause his ears to prick up so to speak. He owns all we have...our air, land, money etc. The one thing that we do own right now is our worship and when we give it to Him, He is pleased. That is awesome. Looking forward to keeping up with you ladies.

Beautiful pics ladies...especially loved the hands.....it almost looks like He is opening up the clouds to let His light shine down on us. I would love to travel the world and see all the beautiful creations He has made, but if I don't have the opportunity I can enjoy the pictures and knowing that one day the sights I shall see will be MUCH greater than what I could see down here.
God Bless!!!

I am back.
I am still waiting fo rmore info on Matt. We were out of cell phone reach today, and I told him where he could call if there was something of concern. He just left a message. He was surprised and disappointed that they didn't release him today. They have added another med that makes him extremely tired, but i think they are targeting the migraines. I also can't imagine him being discharged if he just got moved from ICU to CCU 24 hours ago. Poor guy, he is so wanting to be out of the hospital.
-
Meece...Maybe Japan is becoming like USA they want to discharge the patients as soon as possible. My aunt is still in Istanbul-Turkey she had an open heart surgery and they kept her in for 10 days. She didn't even have any complications.
Its good that he wants to be discharged.
Hugs to you and Matt.

I spoke with Matt last night. They are going to keep him "A while longer" because his headache has become extreme and he cannot eat because of the nausea. You could tell he was in so much pain. He says they are trying other meds, but he is topped out and the nurses were trying to come up with non-med ways to aleviate the pain. Any ideas?
I am glad he is in supervised care right now, so they can help him with the pain. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be alone in his dorm with the severe pain.
THank you so much for being here with me.
God is so good!
-
PM, so glad you are home. Did your DH have to rent a van to bring all the flowers home with you? Remember to keep them watered, and if you don't have any flower fresh stuff put in their water, you can put an aspirin in each vase. Real straight aspirin, Aleve and Tylenol won't help at all.
((((Lisa))))
-
Meece....Im sorry Matt is in lot of pain but thank God he is under good care.
Maybe too many drug combination and could the headache would be the SE.
♥
-
hahahahaha. you are too funny no Tylenol or Aleve!!!!!
Can she use any brand of Aspirin or it has to be Bayer???????
Good Morning. I think my coffee is calling me........

Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains
Long before we knew we could
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe
In this time of fear
When prayer so often proves in vain
Hope seemed like the summer birds
Too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here
My heart's so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I'd say
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe
They don't always happen when you ask
And it's easy to give in to your fear
But when you're blinded by your pain
Can't see your way safe through the rain
Thought of a still resilient voice
Says love is very near
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
Now you will
You will when you believe
You will when you believe
Just believe
Gotta believe
You will when you believe

Very Nice, Paula.
I have to relate something that happened yesterday.
My friend we went to help is very into astrology, as is her duaghter. They "match people" bytheir signs. And they were comenting on matches. The comment was made that guys tend to dismiss Astrology, and say things like "You believe in that?" They said they reply"Do you believe in God?" (Inferring that they are both the same, things you can't see but believe in)
They asked what my "rising sign" was, and I looked squarely at them and said "I believe in God". It took them back, but it is little things like that that let them know there is something bigger and wiser that gets me through these rough times.
I BELIEVE IN GOD!!!
-
I spoke with Matt this morning. Seyla, you may be right, they have now added Riddalyn (Sp?) to his cocktail to try to fight the headache pain. He is on many meds. Really down about not getting released, but I kept saying how encouraging it was that he was not alone in his dorm going through this pain. He says they are not even talkign about when they will release him now. (I never thought they were).
He is craving Fries from McD's. They have him on a salt free diet. I am also thinking that changes in his diet could be contributing to the pain. Sort of a detox... Not salt and no caffeine. I only have one cup of coffee a day, but when I miss it, I get a caffeine withdrawal headache.
Thanks you ladies.
Thank you Father, for everything!
