    We can do this.

How about if we start a list?

Each person post one thing that we all 'know' to do, but need prompts to 'do.'

    1. Move more!!

No editorial comments. No need for thumbs up or down.

Let's just see how much collective knowledge we can organize & 'remember' between all of us birdies.

Anybody with a 'trick, hint, or help' is welcome to add to the list.

    Whoooohooooooo we're on page 50!!!!!!

Let's see if we can get 50 "ideas" before Friday's weigh-in.

    2. Drink more water.

Faith that is a good idea.

I also want to list things we are not suppose to do.

At least that's my biggest issue I start eating at late hours.

During the day I'm fine. What do I do to moderate my eating after midnight when I'm starving.

Walking should be in regular basis (or whatever exercise you are on).

I go with EXERCISE DAILY not when you feel like it.

One question I drink water but do I drink a gallon or less every day/ NO.

What is the benefiting of drinking too much water?

    3. avoid processed foods and artificial sweetners - the closer to the source the better

I have a hard time with this because it takes a lot of thought and time to plan meals with fresh veggies, fruits and lean proteins.  It is so much easier to pop a frozen something in the microwave, make a sandwich with chips or eat a bowl of cereal...

    I love this.

I just got my lipid test results.

Everything was good before but now its even better. I dont understand it I did cheat had chocolate, chips, gold fish etc....

My triglycerides went all the way down to 50.

    LDL 69

    HDL 54

    Total chol   133

my DR is speechless again hahahahahaha

That means cheating here and there its not really effecting the outcome.

This report couldnt come in a better day. I actually feel happy.

I wanted to share it with you.

My liver enzymes  AST and ALT is even lower. It wasn't high before.

I was expecting a not good report and this made my day.

5.) Don't eat while watching T.V.  (This is one of the worst for me. I can just shovel it in while not even thinking about it.)

Elimar thats where I really loose my battle in front of TV or Computer.

I eat popcorn with a big spoon while I'm typing so my fingers are not greasy.

    Whooohooooo.

    We're on a roll.

Our numbering could get outta whack, when we all post at the same time.

11.) Eat from smaller plates & smaller bowls

    [Helps with portion control.]

12.) Put your silverware down between bites.

[to slow down the eating, let your brain realize/register that you're full]

    13.) FIDGET

Studies show that those who 'fidget': move around, wiggle, make micro-movements burn more calories in a day.

    14.) Chew gum.

My personal favorite: keeps my mouth busy AND burns calories!

YES!! This is exactly what I thought could offer us some support as we hit plateus and approach the holidays. We know lots of good things, putting them into practise is where the rubber meets the road.

16.) Ask for the check when you are served your meal. That will help deter the temptation of ordering a dessert.

    17)  Record your favoriate shows and start them 15 minutes later.  You can skip through the commercials for two reasons, a) you don't get up and go graze in the kitchen b) you aren't tempted by food commercials.

    18) When you have to make a trip to one room in your house, go there, turn around, go back to where you started, & repeat. When going upstairs (or downstairs), go up, go back down, then go back up again. [if your knees allow it :) ]

This may seem silly ~ I have done it. Makes me laugh sometimes.

    Burns more calories!

Doesn't sound silly, Voljean.  I was trying to think of a way to phrase that one too.  I specifically go to and from the pantry for each item, I don't load up and move.

    23)  Be aware of your abdominal muscles and keep them pulled in when you think about them, it will help firm them up.
