Hello beautiful ladies,
just wanted to drop a line and let everyone know I have been thinking of you and praying for you (especially you Faith & Saint).
-
Thanks from both of us.
What an amazing time for us to hang on to each other and hold each other up.

I just wanted to post a note of praise and thanks...
My darling brother just called. After 10 years of frustration and failure (and one miscarriage) he and his wife are finally pregnant!!!!! YEAH!!! Praise GOD!!!
-
WOWOWOWOWOW
Starting the prayers for a safe pregnancy, right now.
Oh, let's pray for a baby!!!
What a great wish that could be realized.

Yes,please pray for a safe and healthy pregnancy for both. She is 14 1/2 weeks along.... I think he said the baby is due in late July. They have already picked names!!!!!! SQUEEL!!!!!!!!
-
Oh wow! Prayers coming your way!!!
-
Need to ask for prayer again ladies!!! Two things:
1) Last week my boss witnessed the traumatic death of her father-in-law. She is deeply troubled by what she saw and says she sees it every time she closes her eyes. Please pray for peace for her and her husband (who was also a witness).
2)My Aunt is trying to decide if she should have a dialysis shunt placed in my 80ish year old uncle who is in end stage renal disease brought on by cardiac medication. They need prayers for widsom and peace as well. Right now the surgery is scheduled, but my aunt seems overwhelmed by everything, and the last time my parents visited my uncle asked my dad what would happen if he just stopped taking his medication...... ugh.
Thank you ladies. Hope all is well with you.

I know it's been a while since I have posted. I am hoping my mentor sisters are still out there and will see this. What a dreadful day.
Today is the 3rd anniversary of my "official dx". In the past month I have been dx with a condition that can only be treated with birth control pill (which I can't take because of the breast cancer) or a hysterectomy - which means ANOTHER major surgery and 6 weeks out of work. I am SICK SICK SICK of being SICK!!!!
So my STUPID little preachy brother calls to ask me something else. I happen to mention to him my new situation. What a freakin mistake!!!!!!! He goes OFF about how he know how this can be fixed without surgery or pills "if I am interested"........ I got annoyed. Let's face reality. God did not heal me of breast cancer. He has not healed me of epilepsy and TRUST me, I asked and asked and asked, and so did LOTS of other people...... I am not going to listen to this crap from my little brother. So then he says to me - GET THIS..............
"Actually, we are suppose to heal ourselves". Ok, that's it, I am DONE. Conversation OVER. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TODAY!?!?! REALLY!?!?!? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, thanks for listening anyone.

blah. So sorry to hear of the latest junk. I have no answers for you but offer a hug and shoulder to lean on.

Held.
Held.
Held.
Held.
Where have we been? So much has 'happened' since your thread has been active. I'm joining Elaine in sending you hugs and another shoulder.
Family. The people who are most eligible to make us crazy in the shortest amount of time.
My biggest sadness is that you may be facing more surgery.
Our bodies are so imperfect. I know, that's like saying, "there's gravity on earth." Tell me something you don't know, right?
xx00xx00xx00xx
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.

So happy to see you both. Thanks for the hugs. The painful e-mails that have gone back and forth between my brother and I since this incident are beyond ridiculous. He even posted something vile on my facebook page for anyone to see and called it "love".
I hurt so much and have no idea where to go with it. I refuse to involve my parents or other brothers.
I have no desire to speak to my brother and expose myself to more pain, yet the idea of never speaking to him again seems odd.......
He can not possibly understand my pain, yet professess he does - and claims HE can free me of it. What an ASS!!!! UGH!!!
Ok, enough. I am going to start crying again. My brains hurt. My husband wants me to call the onco to get another opinion on my uterine problems - and I can't even think about that right now.
Thanks for listening.
-
No matter what is going on, always always take care of yourself first...whether it is physically, mentally or emotionally...
YOU are most important. I am not that far from you and would be pleased to come and sit with you - talking, not talking, praying, not praying, being angry at brothers, or not being angry with brothers , or just being.
Know that you are loved by many, you did not cause any of this to happen and there are many mis informed people out there. We know the truth of how this all is.
Hugs, Elaine

Up to 25% of people who take antidepressants gain weight. Is there anything you can do about it? (continued)
Weight Gain and Antidepressants: Switching Drugs Can Help diet pills
While experts may not be certain about why antidepressants cause weight gain, they do know that switching drugs may make a difference.
Some antidepressants may be less likely to affect weight. Effexor and Serzone generally do not cause weight gain, while Wellbutrin can cause weight loss.
Sometimes switching within the same class of drugs can make a huge difference.
"Right now, the SSRI Paxil is the worst offender -- the antidepressant most likely to cause weight gain, while another SSRI, Zoloft, is the least likely, so that's a switch that can sometimes make a big difference for some people," says Sussman.
So far, no drugs (including weight loss drugs) have been sufficiently tested to be approved for use in managing weight gain from psychiatric medications. The authors of the Cleveland Clinic review report that using regular doses of antidepressants with low doses of certain stimulant drugs or seizure medications may help mitigate some weight gain, while adding low doses of Wellbutrin or naltrexone (a drug used in the treatment of alcoholism) to an antidepressant regimen might also help.
And this is from Psychologytoday.com slankekur
Weight gain has long been a bane of psychotropic drug treatment. Mood stabilizers such as Lithium and Clozapine are among the worst offenders, causing up to 50 percent of all long-term users to become obese. Patients on older tricyclic antidepressants can expect a steady gain of one to three pounds per month. But the medical community was caught off guard when patients on newer antidepressants complained the pounds were piling on.
If anything, says Charles Raison, a psychiatrist with Emory University in Atlanta, drugs such as Prozac and Zoloft were believed to cause weight loss. Indeed, many antidepressants seem to be associated with an initial small loss, but studies show that over months, patients not only regain what they lose, but add to it-sometimes dramatically. "It's not always the fault of the drug," says Raison. "Depression can be, all by itself, an incredible diet. When [patients] start to feel better again, their appetite increases." vægttab
