I've invited a few friends and as we get closer to the date will make a reservation. There is plenty of parking in the area, at the restaurant ( although somewhat limited) and in 2 public lots, one on the right, just before the restaurant at the intersection of Washington St. & Rogers St. (St. Peter's Sq.) the other a block after the restaurant, also on the right, in front of the Gloucester House restaurant, this lot has both short (2 hr.) and long term (8 hr.) meters. There is also on-street (2 hr.) metered parking. The rate is cheap, I think it's $0.50 per hour, it's the same in the lots, so bring quarters.
I'll give my cell phone number to all those confirmed, for anyone having a problem finding the restaurant, although I don't expect that to be a problem.
Hey all, this week I'm celebrating a year of being out of treatment and (fingers crossed XX) NED!!!

I'm really trying to make this but I am leaving the next day for "cookie camp" in TN. Yes, a bunch of cookie decorators from all over the country are getting together to meet and decorate! I will be away for a few days and I'm not sure if I can be away sat. afternoon as well (so much to do!). I'll let you know as soon as the date gets closer. xo

The reservation for lunch has been made. They asked if there were any special requests. I told them I'd get back to them if there were. Ladies? I'm going to be checking in with them Friday afternoon with a final count and requests. Question for you all; do you want name tags? I know I'm terrible at remembering names, a year out and I still suffer from chemo brain!
FYI I did request the front of the restaurant with a view of the harbor or if it's a warm enough day we might want to sit outside on the deck. Does anyone have issues with being outside?
If anyone has a question about Gloucester and other things to do while you're here please ask and I'll do my best to answer.
Once again here are the details for Saturday, September 18th, 2010
1:00 luncheon Latitude 4325 Rogers StreetGloucester, MA978.281.0223
Here's the restaurant's web site, which includes the menu and directions.I'll post this info again as we get closer to the day.
-
I already have a name badge from my trip to Las Vegas, so I will not be needing one. I have no special requests. I will be bringing 2 passengers, one from Londonderry NH and one from Groton MA. Can't wait.

I made the reservation, tentatively for 15, so we should be covered.
I was thinking of posting some Gloucester sightseeing/driving info, if anyone is interested, let me know.
Also, take note of the restaurants phone number to call if you get lost or run very late (978.281.0223).
FYI: cell phone reception is not great in the downtown Gloucester area. The reservation is in my name Dorene McManus. If anyone does want my cell number I'll pm you.
I look forward to meeting you all!

I am excited to meet everyone. Should be a great time. I am always happy to be in Gloucester. I grew up in Rockport and my family lives in Gloucester and Rockport. We spend as much time there as we can. A shout out to Dorene for the organizing.Thanks.
