Thanks Jayne!!!! She just left for a friend of my son's house where they nurse wild squirrels and then set them free.... Cody, my son's friend promised to keep me updated and told me when Charlie is ready to be released he'll release him back into my backyard!!!! Here's a link to see a couple of videos of Charlie...

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!!
-
Faith....love the pics of the ships... what a lovely sight!
Mum... have a wonderful time!!!! Looking forward to seeing the pics from your latest adventure!
Barbie...my doc won't give me oxycotin... reluctantly gave me 30 valium.... if he could feel the pain in my back he'd give me morphine!!!! lol
Hope all you dustbunnies have a great day!!!!
xoxoxo
-
Arnie, we have the technology and the right to be as pain free as possible! I take OXYMORPHON twice a day too! Oxycontin is only for break-through pain...AND I still drive to work! That proves to them that I'm not getting high on the stuff, my brain is using it for pain.
-
Thanks Barbie!!!! I'm gonna copy your post and take it with me when I meet with my ono on the 25th....
-
Arnie, I can't wait to hear how much fun you had in Cabin 6. I'm so excited I can't even THINK of doing housework until your return.
Awaiting news on Charlie too.
Gentle hugs.

Does anyone know where EWB is?

I've been on the lookout for EWB/Elaine as well.
I left her a message a while ago on FB, but didn't hear back.
I do know that she had a trip to Vegas, with some other things going on as well.

Arnie popped thru more than once and now some more Shiny and LUCY, too!!!!
Just love hearing from everybody!!!!
Shiny you deserve blue skies & blue seas. ENJOY.
I'm making progress on my big project. Finished drawing up the sign language chart for my picture book and yesterday got it scanned. So that's THE LAST of the work that has to be scanned. Obtained one endorsement for the back cover, must nail down the other two. Inches and inches and creeping & crawling and I still have ten days until my deadline!!!!
I think I can. I think I can. I think I can!!!!!!
There will be absolutely no housecleaning from me for the coming ten days, and that's a promise!!!
-
Faithie......I know you can, I know you can, I know you can!!!.......
I want to purchase a copy when it is finished for my personal library.....Signed, of course!......LOL.........

It's lovely to see everyone checking in. Thankfully nobody seems to be doing housework.
Hugs dusty buns.

The website FlyLady.net has some great tips on how to handle decluttering and cleaning in a way that is not overwhelming.

Well it's all about me, day.
All over again.
I just got a phone call from my mom that my neice has just learned that she has cancer. The details are yet to unfold. Neice's named Kelly and is 27. My daughter Sarah is a few weeks younger and they have always considered themselves 'twins.'
Anyhow, last week Kelly had surgery that removed half of her thyroid. Apparently the pathology report has found some cancer. She will have the rest of the thyroid removed this Tuesday, pre-op tomorrow.
On the upside, she is supposedly with the country's best team of surgeon's for this procedure. They have been told that what has been found is 'early' stage. They are guessing that she will not undergo chemo, but will have onc prescriptions of some sort in addition to meds for the missing thyroid.
With this news my personal world-view goes tumbling assunder again. I am so much more at a loss, with this happening to her. She has been thru much trauma already in her brief life, that would require a book to outline, yet has emerged from each testing more devout in her faith.
They live in Augusta, GA. My parents moved to Augusta a couple of months ago. The theory was that my sister's family would be available to them my aging parents, but for this immediate chapter, my parents can be available to my sister's family.
Here's Kelly and her step-son, Skyler, who she dearly loves and receives love:
Here's a picture of the three cousins. My two daughters from L to R: Sarah, Noelle and cousin Kelly:
We are in great need of prayer for Kelly. There are bucket loads of "stressors" in our extended family and this will surely test us all. So prayers for our whole little tribe would be greatly appreciated.
And so it goes. And I don't have Saint to listen to my wracking concerns.
I have taken a happy pill. I'm not sure that atavan is up to my inquiries of heaven over this development.
Thanks as always for your support.

Thanks to all for your prayer support for my Kelly-niece. Today is her pre-op. She is scheduled for first thing tomorrow morning. That is when I will be in yoga-class. I guess that's a good thing.
Will attempt to stay-busy today.
Attempting to keep my little boat afloat.
tooooooooooo much, toooooooooo much, toooooooooo much.
Thank heavens for the good news of yet another baby in bountiful baby Barbe bundle.
My parents received 3 grandchildren within a 3 month timeframe: niece Kelly was first, then my Sarah then came Brett from my brother. Brett was bigger than the girls at Christmas when he was a month old. LOL. The pictures of my parents holding all three babies at that first Christmas are priceless. It's the photo that they have framed in their living room 27 years later.
-
Thinking of Kelly today and sending lots of prayers and positive vibes her way!!
Hang in there Faithie!!! Stay busy busy busy!
