Hi Lauren, Hi CS34
I will be wearing a survivor's hat and/or white hat with bc.logo.
Hope to see you both Sat.
-
Cara, it was great meeting you today. I loved the waitress we had.
You are one terrific gal.You are truly an inspiration. Good for you.
Perhaps we can do it again soon down by Menlo Park.
Hugs,
Ronna
-
Hi Ronna,
You as well!!

I would love to do it again. Maybe next moth and Lauren (and whoever else wants to) can make it too!
Have a great day!!
-
I would love to come next time... sorry I wasn't up to it this weekend!
-
How did I ever miss this thread? I live in Springfield and I actually was in Short Hills Mall this past Saturday. I'll watch for your next get-together. I'm even game to ask a manager to make a % donation to breast cancer research. If people wanted that. Kilkenny House in Cranford does that a few times a year; but it is off the beaten path for travelers from Bergen CO and NYC.
FYI I was shopping at Jack and Jill clearance bin for my brand new grandson who arrived a week early. He and my daughter are home now and healthy.
-
Eileen1955: OMG, you were just a short distance from where Cara and I met. Wow, in fact, I had to pass Jack and Jill to leave the Mall. !! Congrats on new grandson.
Lauren3:: Looking forward to our next get together. Hope you are feeling better.
Look forward to perhaps meeting everyone soon
Hugs,

Hi, I would like to plan a get together on a Sunday afternoon in September. Is anyone interested?
-
Hi Candie, so far at this time, sounds good.
-
ok, any suggestions on where..you and I are very close..let's wait a week and see who else answers...good idea?
edited for spelling
-
OK sounds good, first weekend I am busy and last weekend we will be out of town. Open any other time during the month of Sept.
Let's see what happens in responses.
-
I am definitely interested if it's a weekend I'm able to make it!!!!!!! I'm in Morris County.
-
Hi ladies,
I would love to meet again.
I also have my friend who's in the Princeton area who would like to join us as well. She wanted to see if she could connect with others in Princeton but she hasn't been on the boards long enough to have others know she's legit. Her last chemo treatment is next week.
Would anyone be opposed to coming down to Menlo Park Mall in Edison? If that's difficult for anyone to get to, I'll come up to Short Hills again. I don't want to leave anyone out because of location.
-
Hi Ladies,
I would love to attend a meeting with you. Please post the date and location and I will see
if I can make it. I live in Northern Rockland but close to new jersey boader. Hope to hear
from you soon.
-
Hi Desny,
What is easier for you to get to? Short Hills Mall or Menlo Park Mall in Edison?
-
Hi,
I am very close to Montvale, NJ so I'm not sure which one would be easier for me. I will try to
mapquest it and get back to you.
-
Hi All, I am in East Hanover, (Morris County) Cara and I have met previously at Short Hills Mall.(CS 34)
Isn't Montvale in Bergen County?? Lauren, where are you located?
Ronna
-
I'm not too far from East Hanover. I would do Short Hills or Willowbrook but probably not Menlo Park. Keep me posted!!!
-
ok...this is a totally non cancer question.....but is parking better at the Dover or RamseyR17 train stations. I am working on a project in upstate new york and the bus ride is killing me, but I still can't drive the whole way due to my frozen shoulder.
Ok I made it into a cancer question!!
Thanks!!
So any way maybe I will meet some of you on one of my stop overs!
-
I have never been to either but Dover is really close to me!!!
-
It's been about 15 years since I went to the Dover train station on any regular basis, but back then there was always parking available.
Traffic on Rt 80 and Rt 46 getting to and from the NYC area however is horrible. Rush hour starts early and runs late, and while heading into the city in the morning and out in the afternoon is worse, multi-lane parking lots in both directions are a regular occurance.
We lived west of Dover, in the Netcong area, DH worked in Parsippany, and it was an hour commute every day. Our families are still in the Bergen and Hudson county areas, and we often sat in hour or more long traffic jams heading to and from there during non rush hours and on weekends.
Route 17 is no picnic, but in my experience, other than the mall traffic leading up to Christmas, is not as bad as 80 west of 280. I have no idea how the parking is in Ramsey.
-
Short Hills is great for me. I am in Caldwell. Sundays are better forme...anyone else?
-
PM, I would take the train into the city to skip the traffic. Hopefull the traffic from Upstate to New Jersey won't be too bad. I may start with Middletown, NY or Harrison.
-
Dover is about a 20 minute drive from my house. Are there any conclusions as to where to meet?
Isn't Ramsey on 17 towards upstate New York????
I can do Short Hills very easy, just thinking to make it ez for our sisters. Willowbrook is also not a problem.
Will wait to hear...
-
Short Hills is it.
How about September 12th or 19th at Short Hills?
-
Sept 12th at short Hills...let's book it for that date..sounds great! Hey,, that rhymes..lol
Now where in Short Hills..the Mall, right?
-
Hi candie1971,
Sunday, Sept 12th sounds great. Let's see what the other's schedules are and we'll confirm a time.
Ronna and I met last time at Joe's American Grill, I think. It was a restaurant in the mall.
-
the 12th sounds good to me but I may have my 3 year old with me - is that ok with everyone?
-
Hi Candie, Hi, Cara,
Sounds good to me. Since we will need a reservation for a table let's see who else is coming.
The 12th is good. Joe's American Bar and Grill is the restaurant we went to. Any one else interested.
Desny, I believe that Short Hills might be a little closer than Menlo.
Lauren, how are you with this???? I will keep checking in.
Have a great night.
-
Oh, great.
Sounds great the time and place. I am very excited to meet you all!! Oh, btw, what time shall we meet? After 12:30 is best for me.
Lauren, fine with me to bring your little one! They are so precious at that age.
Hugs,
Candie
-
Hi Candie, do you want to call the restaurant for the reservation. Include me in. Will keep checking in to see status.
Regards and hugs,
