1st-((((((BIG HUGS)))))) To all of you for the wonderful Prayers & Support...I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! The rashes became inflamed, I think due to the heat wave, but the OXISTAT Cream seems to be working-have to use for the next month, at $60.00 it had better do a great job!! It's normally $122.00, Thankful for our insurance. The Fickulitics grew into 6 of them & MRSA boil grew too, but I was able to lance it Thursday nite-if any of you have had one, they hurt sooo bad before you lance them, then there is the fun pain after....whew!! The Mupirocin cream is 3x's a day for the next 10 days on these. See Dermatolist in a couple of days for culture results & check on progress. Then See Surgeon as well to discuss the ultra sound I had done yesterday-which was clean, YEAH!! So can check off what the pain is not on that one-awaiting to find out about getting a pet scan-surgeon wanted to talk to my onconagist before scheduling it. I suppose to have surgery next month also due to the damage of all the infections & surgeries on the left side That's it so far.
Linda, so glad to hear good news on your son!! Laura-still power prayers & waiting to hear good news from you as well!!
Congrats on the new fur-baby!!! They quickly become part of the family & share their unconditional LOVE from the moment their eyes meet ours!!! (((FUR HUGS)))) to all with these precious animals in their lives!!
I can't wait to see all your smiling faces again & see new faces as well-there is something great awaiting for us all when we come together-this link is just a small part of us connecting 0:)
On a last note-I've mentioned awhile back that my surgeon found a Cancer retreat & thought of me-he along with the hosptial are sponsering me to go. I was going in October, but now it's been moved to September 19th -26th. It's called "COMMONWEAL", located in Bolinas Cal., about an hour away from San Francisco. I get to share all that I learned & experience there with all here when I get back!! Plus I can share with all of you for any interested. Commonweal is a health & environmental research institute-there will be certain meals, yoga,medititaion,therpy,ect.-I can't wait-2 wonderful things to look forward to......Commonweal trip &...

Journey: congrats on the woofer! My little guy (2 year old Cavallier) was my comfort dog all these months: as I was dealing with fills and all the discomfort he would climb on my lap cuddle like a cat.
Jean: no worries, Im the same good girl I was in high school....(ha!) Im psyched for some pool time....although I hear that can be a pretty wild place too!!!

I WORKED ON THE LIST SOME MORE AND ADDED SOME INFO. THE DEADLINE TO BOOK YOUR ROOM IS AUGUST 15TH. AFTER THE 15TH THE HOTEL WILL RELEASE UNBOOKED ROOMS TO THE PUBLIC. THERE ARE SEVERAL GROUPS ON THE HOTEL LIST THAT HAVE YET TO BOOK. IF YOU ARE STILL PLANNING ON ATTENDING AND HAVE YET TO BOOK YOUR ROOM PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR ROOMMATES AND FIGURE OUT WHO WILL DO THE BOOKING. UNFORTUNATELY IF YOUR ROOM IS NOT BOOKED BY THE AUGUST 15TH DEADLINE I WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THAT GROUP FROM THE LIST.

Tracey - I am sending all kinds of healing vibes to your friend. Hugs!

Hello girls,
I'm back from 5 days in NC with some girlfriends. Can you say POOPED?! I am totally exhausted and have to teach my Spin class this afternoon! I'm sure once the endorphines kick in, I will be just fine.
Susie, I'm so glad to hear it sounds like you are getting ahead of things and getting them under control. YAY!
Linda, I missed somewhere what is going on with your DS, but I hope everything is ok.
Laura, have they gotten to the root of your DS's heart irregularities yet?
Did I tell you ladies that I broke a toe about a month ago? Grrr. I am finally able today to get my foot in a sneaker, although it is still a bit uncomfortable. Such a KLUTZ!
Anyway, that's all I got! I hope you are all well and counting down to Vegas. How many days now Susie? LOL
-
Welcome back Mona....I have a feeling that I will be exhausted when I get back home from Vegas...
Sorry about your toe....how did you break it?
My son is fine. We thought he was moving back in with us but his plans changed...thank God...LOL.....I like things just the way they are. He is still in college so we would have welcomed him back....reluctantly....
We are having an extreme heat wave....can't get outside to do anything. Looks like it will continue next week.
Vegas is not long now....wooooohoooo
-
Teresa and Denise sorry to hear you won't be coming
I guess that just means we need another Kansas City gathering again
my life & work has been stressful and so need this vacation
less than a week ago I found out my mom has stage 3 colon cancer
hoping it stays stage 3 she gets a pet scan and cat scan in about 3 weeks to check that
I must say reading these post made me smile thinking back to how much fun we had last year
missing my sisters
Sandy/Sunshine : )
-
Sandy, I will keep your mom in my prayers. I know how important a mom can be. I had my surgery today and cried at the end because she is no longer just a phone call away. I lost my dad in July 2009, my mom in November of 2009. Then I found out in January of 2010, that I had breast cancer. My mom was a breast cancer survivor but passed away before I was diagnosed. Just when I needed her most. Luckily, I do have 2 older sisters who are also my best-friends. Love them like no other.
-
Jennifer
so sorry to hear about your loss
happy you have your sisters
hope you heal well so you are up to some fun when we go to Vegas
forgot to share good news...
I had another 6 month check up and mamo on healthy side and all went well
-
Sandy... good to see you posting.. I miss you here..:)... but am SO glad you are clear! As you know, I am praying for your mom. each time i think about you!
We are going to have a lot of fun this year too, in Vegas... maybe more than last year..hehe...
XXXXOOO
-
Aw Sandy SO sorry to hear about your mom -- prayers for you both.
Jen -- I also am sorry to your story. 2009 must have been so hard for you... and to follow that with BC in 2010... gosh that's tough. Thank goodness you have your sisters.
Las Vegas -- I can not wait!
-
Thank you everyone. 2009/2010 has been a very tough year for my family. The worst part about my mother passing was I talked to her 4 times that morning. She went to the store, hung curtains and was making lunch for me and my sister. I called her at 11:40 to let he know that I was leaving work and would be there in about 15-20 minutes. When I got there she was sitting on the coach looking like she nodded off for a nap. Her best and furry friend (Barney her dog) was lying on her lap. She missed her 68 birthday by 10 days. To young to die. Her and my fathers doctor said she died of heartache. She missed my dad tremendously.
When my dad passed my sister and brother were taking him to the emergency room at 4 am. He suffered from cardiac arrest and passed in my brother's front seat . He was revived in the hospital 15 minutes later. Which was probably not such a good idea. The next day he passed with his wife and four children right by his side. My mother was holding one and my I was holding the other to his last breath. It was still very sad but he had the people he loved most with him. We watched his soul go to heaven peacefully.
Sorry about my sad gloomy story. Somrtimes it makes me feel better to share just to know they are together in heaven together. Barney also passed on mother's day. He missed his mom terribly and told us it was time to go.
-
Sandy, I was just wondering where you have been! We've missed you around here. Why is it that summer is supposed to be the relaxing time of year and it winds up being so busy? I'm sorry to hear of your Mom's diagnosis. Have they talked about surgery yet? I will keep her and your family in my thoughts.
Jennifer, you have certainly had your share of loss in the last couple of years. I'm so sorry they weren't here to help you through your own ordeal. You must be one strong Ta Ta!
-
Sandy: Sorry to hear about your Mum. Saying prayers for you and your family.
-
Here's to "one strong Ta Ta" !! I love it.
And to pass with one's beloved dog in one's lap... I can't imagine a better way. It brings a tear to my eye. Sweet little Barney.
-
Power Prayers Sandy for your Mom & the family to be strong!! Jen...I'm so sorry about your losses-it is good to talk about it,help's heal the soul.Pet's have their special way of touching our Hearts, really get's you reading that about barney. I lost my Mom in Oct. 06,1 week after she turned 66-she was killed in a horrible accident...my Medical journey started 2 months to the day after & still continuing. I know she is watchin over me just like your parent's are over you & sooo Proud that you've beaten Cancer!! I truely believe in ANGELS & know that Parent's instantly become one of God's many to watch & protect us!! God Bless you all in these hard times 0:)
Girls, my situation has taken a bad turn-my cultures came back & are not good. Then I had to rush to my surgeons office yesterday cause the one on my hip had gotten so bad I couldn't walk & everything hurt to touch it-grew to 6 inches(hubby & my 9th anniversay-fun way to spend it with the one you LOVE, I think he got the feeling's back in his hand later that nite LOL)Surgeon had to lance 3 more of these staph/MRSA. Have to wait for the culture of those-see him again today. Talking about sending me to OSHU in Portland to see a infection diease Specialist-whom I saw 2 years ago....ARGGGGGGG!! Due to this my trip to Commonweal is now on hold...double ARGGGGG. It has nothing to do with the Cancer-I dealt with this crap before I got Cancer-just have to figure out why my body is doing this. In the mean time....something to still look forward too.........
56 Days till VEGAS YAHOOOOOOOO & WAHOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
