My ta ta sweeties
So sorry I can't come, but someone has to have a glass of white wine for me and pull a slot machine in my name. I'll be there in spirit and heart.
Laura THANK GOD. I know your prayers will be heard and Taylor will be OK.
Love to everyone else going thru medical stuff.....
love you all.

JANCIE OH JANCIE WHERE ARE YOU??!!!! Has anybody heard from her? I'm getting worried! Last she posted things were not too good.....
-
Janet
I was worried about Jancie also and I sent her a PM. I heard back from her last week. She told me that she is still planning on the Vegas trip. I will send you a PM...
-
YAY I heard from Jancie and she is still planning on Vegas!!! She is not sure when she will have time to read all of the posts. I'm so glad she is ok!!! WHEW!
HUGS to you Jancie!
-
Here I am on page 41 of this thread and noticed I need to read up to page 54. That is overwhelming to me to say the least.
In a nutshell - I am still planning on coming. The piano bar is a done deal as far as I am concerned!
I would love to tell ya'll what has transpired but I have to deal with an ex psycho wife that has done nothing but harrass me and send the police over here based on false information just to upset me and it has gotten pretty stupid. I am worried that she might have signed up on this board to stalk me and therefore, I can't give out any information unless it is by PM and of course I will spill the beans when I see ya'll in October.
-
Can anyone point me to the page that has the cost of activities? Jazzy sent me the schedule as to what is happening and then information about a band for brunch - you can count me in on that one also.
Freemont Street? Of course I am in for that one! Are there any major costs this year that we did not incur last year?
-
Laura - I haven't made reservations yet but I will do so soon and get that information out to you via PM along with my cell number for the contact list.
-
Ok, what I saw was Piano Bar, Champagne Brunch at Bellagio and the $40 for the band? Count me in on all of that. Of course I will be at all the breakfast, lunches, and dinners.

I'm thinking if we all decide on the buffet band ($39.99), we could possibly use it Friday night, Sat morning, and Sat night. So $40 would cover 3 meals. We haven't made reservations at the piano bar YET...and last year we EACH paid $25 to reserve a table, I still have the list. :-) I can't remember what we paid for the brunch, but whatever it was it was WAY WORTH IT!
-
Jazzy - I am thinking the brunch at the Bellagio was around $36 with the champaigne. (gosh I just can't spell that word!).
OH MY - you need to make the reservation at the Piano Bar or we will never get in! Remember last year there was a line and it was standing room only for those without reservations and you could only get in after a person left. With the amount of people going, we might need the entire seated area
-
Yes Jancie we want to make the reservations, but we can't do that until we have a final count...that's why I have been bugging everybody to pm me. :-)
-
Count me and my friend Melissa in for all except Freemont Street. I need a the total price for all X 2.
Who and when do I have to pay?
-
Hi Jennifer you have already PM'd me so I have you and Melissa down.
PLEASE REMEMBER I CAN ONLY COUNT YOU IF YOU PM ME. It's just too dang hard to go back through all of these posts to see who wants to do what. It's much easier for me to look at my pm's and double check what people have been signed up for.
Jennifer, most likely we will pay each establishment individually when we are in Vegas. Once we have a complete count we can make reservations and let everybody know what/where/how much.
SO...PLEASE PM ME IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!!
HUGS! Jazzy
-
I finally booked my flight! (Prices dropped to $328 RT between NJ and LV but in truth I was sick of waiting and not having it done)!
I am PMing you Laura now...
-
Oh and Jazzy that's a good idea for the band -- two dinners and a breakfast for $40!!!?? That's awesome!
-
Lilah - if I remember correctly - and believe me I have chemo fog but weren't you going to play nickle poker with me? The best thing about Freemont is that Mermaids is there and you can actually put nickles in the machine and not have to deal with those computerized slips of paper.
-
I might have to check out the nickle slots too. I've only been to Vegas once and didn't even gamble at all (had kid with me and my husband). I don't think I have enough nerve to do anything more than slot machines and using real money instead of paper slips would be fun! Three meals for $40 sounds great too. Oh, and I'm glad to hear you got a good deal on your flight, Lilah. Can't wait to meet all the TaTa's!!
TCK
-
Jancie -- you betcha! Tessa -- you can join too -- everyone can! Fremont Street is so fun... a great big outdoor walking area with a canopy (onto which light shows are projected hourly) and surrounded by nothing but casinos
This may be some people's idea of a nightmare but I find it very fun.
-
Oh and how cool that you can still play with real nickels Jancie!
-
We are all the TA TA's!! Don't forget.... all of us who HAD BC..... or could have gotten it.... we are:
THE TA TA SISTERHOOD!
-
I suggest we wear our TaTa shirts to the piano bar and also to Freemont Street. If you remember last year there was a live camera set up at Freemont - might be fun to get a group picture there!
-
Lilah - the only other place I know that you can play with real nickels on the strip is the old Barbary Coast Casino which is down the street from the Flamingo on a side street. Then again it has been years since I have been to that old casino that they might have also gone to paper slips instead.
There is nothing more fun to me than walking around with a bucket of nickels - I know - I am easily amused!
