I wasn't trying to spoil the movie, I haven't seen it but what I have heard it involves dreaming and manipulating dreams. I wish I could watch DC, we only have basic cable.

Had more rain last night, not as much as Monday night and no lightning or thunder but it is overcast today and should rain on and off all day today.

Well, our visiting last night was great.  We went out to the country to visit a friend from a club we are in, but we have only met his wife once.  He had been to our house and seen my garden and thought that his wife, and avid gardener, would enjoy visiting with me.

So we went, thinking that I would have something in common with her to break the ice.  Well I found out we had more in common than that.  As she and I were walking around her garden visitingShe is a BC survivor as well.  She was dx'd almost one year before I was.  She had/has the same onc that I used to, can she appears to have as much (little) knowledge of her cancer, as I did before I changed oncs and joined this website.  She stopped recon because she was told insurance would not cover more than initial surgery.  She is so uninformed, I felt bad.  We are going to get together and talk more when we aren't under the constraints of a work night and getting back to the guys to visit.   Anyway, it was a nice evening, and a slight breeze came up and we watched the stars enjoying lovely weathe.

Hi Val - it's cloudy in East Lansing right now - I wonder if we'll get bad storms today!

Sheila, you don't spoil it for me, I've heard about the movie but didn't know anything about it.  Are you going to go see it?  If you or Eph go see it, let me know if it's a good movie or not.  We have a nice little cheap theater in my town and they're pretty good about getting the latest movie releases.

Meece, it's amazing how things work out.  Sounds like God put you where you needed to be and sounds like she really needs your friendship and knowledge!

It's 82 degrees at noon with a warm, brisk breeze and, as Val can attest to, looking like some storms coming this way.

Take care everyone - off to an afternoon (all afternoon) meeting and I'll "talk" to everyone tonight.  Have a great day.

It is "a record high" temp day today in Tampa - 96 degress.  105 heat index.  My office is cool an comfortable, but will be in the pool with the dogs and DH after work.  I agree with Suz, Meece how providentially that worked out for you to meet her and become her friend.

We plan to to see Inception this weekend.  My sons have seen it and really liked it.  Stay cool and dry today, ladies.

I will probably only see it once it comes out on DVD, the last movie I went to the theater to see was IronMan II (10:00 pm showing) and I fell asleep before the big fight scene at the end. My son took myself and my hubby to that showing but he said he will buy the DVD when it comes out so I can see what I missed. He also has promised me he will take me to see 'Tron Legacy' when it comes out in December. He fell in love with Tron when he was growing up and I forced him to watch it when it was on TV and we can't wait for the new movie to be released.

Our first cold front went through so we're down to 81 degrees right now.  I'll send some cooler air to NC, Fla and CA.  If I'd gone to a 10:00 pm movie I'd have fallen asleep too Sheila.  10 is my max bedtime!  Enjoy Inception this weekend Mary.

Okay, so my question about Jake and rehab has been answered.  DH said he didn't know why, but he was expecting something more from the season finale.

Ya, I thought of you Meece when I saw that.  I kind of expected more too.  I don't know what though.  I have to watch it again tonight cause I was experiencing major chemo brain during the show and my attention span wasn't too good.  OK Ladies, we dipped below 60 degrees this morning for the first time in a long, long time.  Everyone around mid Michigan is just thrilled EXCEPT for me. BECAUSE I LOVE hot weather.  LOL, then why do I live in Michigan???  Well, I guess cause I was born here and am too lazy to move!!!  No, I've lived in Virginia Beach and Winter Haven Fl. and Laramie Wy. before but all of our family is here so I stay here.  I guess I kinda had diarrhea of the fingers here didn't I?  Have a great day ladies.

Another cold and foggy day at the coast. I can't stand this weather!!! I came from the Bay Area where there is warmth, clear skies and hot summers. True, we have crazy wild life that wanders around our property, but a few nice days, thrown in with the crappy ones, would be nice.

Yep, Jake went to rehab. I think things were so emotional with Phil dying that they just sort of ended the season as best they could. Next season won't be the same without him...

That was sort of sad seeing the Cornelia-Marie out in the sunshine as the only boat left crabbing in April!

Are you guys talking about that crabbing reality show.I enjoy watching it.  Our Bussiness in Canada is seafood wholesale so I was amazed at the risks these fisherman take for their livelyhood.

I just love that show - Obviously.  Sorry your summers aren't warm Smith.  I don't know how I'd deal with that.  I've got to have some warmth.  Last summer here was so cold but I was in bed or working all summer (cause of chemo) so I didn't participate in summer other than to know that it was very cold, especially when the sun went down.  I'll try to throw some warmth your way.  I'm with you Mum, don't know that I'd ever take those risks for my livelihood.

The sun came out for a little while so I zoomed into town...where it was foggy! Now the fog is making its way back up to our house so it's back to fogville soon. Rain all winter until June and now fog. YIKES! Last week my DH took me "over the hill" where it was nice and warm. I hope it's nice this weekend because we're having an End-of-the-Month party with friends.

Awww, Suzette ~ I loved last summer here in MI ~ LOL

    No 90's, humidity nil, 70's - low 80's. LOVELY

Yeah, when Capt Keith rang that ship bell 8 times & put that pot in the water so that Capt Phil would always have a full pot to come back to, I had tears rolling down my face.

When I lived in San Francisco, I loved the fog ~ loved the smell of it. When the sun broke just right, & the Golden Gate Bridge was visible, it was beautiful beyond words. I lived on the Presidio; I'm a Navybrat.

Even San Francisco gets more sun than we do! My dad grew up there and we lived about an hour from SF. I love to visit there. The Komen 3-Day is there and this will be my 3rd walk, second in SF. I done lots of training walks in the Presidio. It's really changed over the years. My dad was in the Navy, too.

It is blistering hot outside today.  We are going to see the Rays play the Yankees tonight.  Thank goodness for Tropicana Field and air conditioning.  God Rays spank the Yankees.

smithlme ~ Go Navy! My Dad retired in 1968 (oh, I'm dating myself!) & that's when we left San Francisco to come back to MI. Both parents born & raised here.

Yeah, I've heard the Presidio has really changed, it's a Park now, isn't it? I've seen pics online. I used to walk down to the beach & head north & there was the Golden Gate Bridge. Beautiful. I went to George Washington High School for my sophomore year.

Brother lives in south Louisiana.  He just texted me to say his thermometer in the backyard was @ 128 degrees.  Almost hell on earth.  Those in the gulf area better be careful, the gulf could catch on fire!

We have been below normal all month.  We stayed in indoors all day today.  I cooked and DH relaxed.  So the heat didn't bother us today.

Last night was the first night in a long time when the temp dropped below 70. I turned off the ac when I went to bed. weather man said we are in a slight drought condition, rain was 1 inch below normal for the month of July. Today is cool and drizzle again, 3rd day in a row, not much accumulation on the rain just a dreary day.

We had a gorgeous sunny weekend. We bar-b-qued and ate outside. Then today....fog. I drove into town and it's worse there. Right now I have a deer in the backyard eating grass...

Hello ladies!  I'm relaxing after work and drinking a glass of white zinfandel (from California), not my favorite type (white zin) but it's opened and in the fridge so I feel a need not to waste itWink

We had fog this morning too Smith.  We had some cooler days and now are back in the heat.  Although it has gotten quite cloudy this afternoon and evening so the temp is down to 82 degrees!

Our weather guesser guesses that we might get some scattered showers tomorrow and then the next several evenings will not dip below 70.

I didn't see deer this morning but our family (three) of sandhill cranes were enjoying the slugs in the yard.  My DS and my D nephew went a woodchuck hunting last night and were successful so one less woodchuck in my yard.  Coyotes are a howling all around us.  Love living in the country!
