    Hi Sharron,

xx sorry I haven't been in touch, waiting until I have spare "me" to be more "with it" if that makes sense.

Exausted one day too early.. need to go  bake 3 more batches of muffins fo DD's school. So whoooooped. Made mega batches and brought to DS's school today, looking and praying for a positive start again in September. Helped on the craft stall at DD's school Summer BBQ on w/end,lovely. My DD is graduating from Infant school tomorrow. Yesterday was their certificate leaver's asssembly, so sweet. She got praised on her certificate for "always being such a kind thaughtful and caring and considerate member of her class" and got scores above her age in all subjects. What a girl. Glad she will be more clever then her mum at school!! he he.

Arnie, re Tribunal, looks like the LA have finally conceided, so have applied for an order to ratify the offer from the LA so we won't have to go to Tribunal this summer if all goes well. Shame they make me go through all the work before they fold, what a waste of this mummy's energy. Nonetheless it will help DS next year. Hope we don't have to fight again next year.

Barbe, i'd love to compare notes with you. I am letting health matters to one side, if I get away with it,until September, then tackling again. You might be able to shed some light on some of my Lemonette stuff. If you can,pm me with a time that suits?

Well daaaalings. You are one great lovely bunch of bunnies, and am sorry I've neglected you. Just been swamped.

    xx love

I have made an appt with my PCP to get a referral to a rheumatologist. I think I may have ankylosing spondylitis. The symptoms have been piling up and recently I've had painful feet! Go figure! I have so many of the symptoms it's like I wrote the list....all the way to arthritic bone spurs in the back of my neck pushing into my throat. They cause me to choke. Have had them for years! Lately, it's been painful when I first stand up and it's hard to put my foot down. That made me do a Google search and I saw something that I had considered years ago (the ankylosing spondylitis). I have Fibromyalgia as well, so it makes it tough to diagnose me, but I'm hoping a rheumi could finally.

Shiny, look it up and see if you have some of the issues. I wondered about 10 years ago, but put it on the back-burner. I shouldn't have, because if it is that, I am so far gone that I have damage to my kidneys and spine that is irreversible. Remember I spent a week in the hospital last year with a kidney defect...that's another symptom!  NSAIDs don't even come close to helping me anymore as my issues have passed inflamation and gone to damage....sigh.

Shiny ... don't you just love people who constantly put obstacles in your path?  You sound like such an awesome Mom, God Bless You.

Faith ... I can't listen to your song as we don't have the hookup for sound in the computer.  Eventually we will get the right hook-up but I am mechanically challlenged.

Hey Coonie, Barb and everybody!  Its good to check in.

To all of you who suggested I put honey on my diabetic foot ulcer, it appears to be working!!!  Even my podiatrist likes the progress.  They use maggots, leeches, and and  honey.  I told my sister that medical science sure has come a long way!!!!!!!  I swear all those'wives tales' have serious merit.  Anything else with my health and I am going first to a natural remedy.

Sometimes the simplest things work.  I'm glad your doing better Kathleen.

Shiny dear, you must be completely worn out.  Why do you have to go to bat for everything.  Don't they know better than to mess with 'our' Shiny-girl?

Arnie, Coonie, Mary, hasn't this summer been simply unbearable with the heat?  Here's how I deal with it.  Well, either this or we all head to Door County.

Edit to add, I just looked up Door County and found this!!!  Oh my!!

    Hi girls,

Yes, miserably  hot isn't it? I stay inside when I can and in the pool when I can't! Unfortunately I need to mow the lawn today. Not looking forward to that! I get in the pool and get wet, mow the front, get wet again and mow the back. The only way I can stand it!! And I'm used to this heat! It's just a typical Texas summer. We are going to Colorado the end of August. I'm looking forward to being in the mountains and the cooler air.

Not going to start a list, but you are all in my prayers. I hope those who are feeling under the weather feel better soon.

Love the pics!! The pig in boots is just too cute!!

Have an awesome weekend ladies! Do something you love.

Bunnies. I'm copying this from the beach thread..... I know some of you read there, but not certain if other of you bunnies every splash through that thread, in any case in an effort not to concern anyone, here's the scoop:

This is a BIG week for me. I have a 'new' publishing project for an educational publishing house that has some deadlines (they are using my music in a new project of movement ideas for children... professional dancer writing hundreds of ideas to use to my previously recorded pieces -- how cool is that?? It is to be released early 2011.)

Gotta get ready to depart Wed before dawn for Texas. I get to give the keynote on Thurs for a conference in Austin!!! Did ya hear my whoop, whooop??

In the midst of this other excitement, I am working-like-a-dog to wrap up the final illustration for my next picture book: fire trucks(!) and then as soon as that is complete there are about a thousand details to get the book organized & orchestrated before the printing . I have given myself the deadline of the end of Aug. YIKES.

So send me your good vibes, but don't be concerned if I'm not here as regularly as usual... at least for the next 6 weeks or so.

Healing to all. Hugs. Take good care of yourselves. Be pro-active. Move more. Find joy. Seek support. Read. Drink your fluids. Soak up the berries as they appear. Be good to yourselves. Celebrate. Reach out to others. Be kind to your healing process. Be patient with yourself. Go for some gusto. Appreciate. Express your delight. Expand your horizons.

    You know.

    "Just do it."

Hello bunnies, I hope you have all had a good weekend.

Shiny you have lots on your plate, as usual. I'm pleased you seem to be making good progress with organising things for your DS. I just wish you didn't have to work so hard to make it all happen.

Barbe I remember you having kidney trouble last year, you even named your kidney stone Mick if I remember correctly. I hope the rheumatologist can shed some light on it and come up with a treatment plan.

Kathleen that's great news about the ulcer on your foot.

Faith sending lots of good vibes your way for all the exciting happenings in your life.

I have been busy this weekend, sorting  things out in the garden and even doing some housework! I have been trying to get the place sorted ready for me going into hospital tomorrow to have my reconstruction. I am really excited about it. I have managed well enough with the TE but it is time for it to go.

Healing to all who need it. Hugs to all you bunnies.

    Hey Ladies,

    Haven't been around much lately.

Just when you think you have it all together the wheels fall off.

Have doctors appointment tomorrow to discuss by rapidly increasing blood pressure, the mini panic attacks and the general feeling of not coping.  I really miss the person I was...slim, fit, and no medications etc to the person I am currently. I just can't let my DD who is 15 to mother me again because I have had a meltdown.  It just isn't fair.

So if you can, please think of me tomorrow and send some positive thoughts it would be appreciated.  Thanks for letting me vent....you girls get it.

    Hugs

    Viv

{{{{{{{ Vivvy }}}}}}}}}}} it is a testament to your inner strength that you have gotten this far down the road without chemical assistance! You could have an imbalance in your system right now that just needs a tune-up. Keep an open mind, you deserve a break.

((((((Vivvy)))))) sending positive thoughts to you from the UK. I hope your doctor comes up with a good plan for you.

Thanks for all your good wishes, I am now home again. The reconstruction seems to have gone as it should and so far I am not having much pain.. The only slight bit of drama came about when I started bleeding from the cannulas that had been left in my hand and foot. I had asked for the one in my hand to be removed as it was getting in my way and my fingers were starting to get pins and needles. While I was waiting for a nurse to do it I sat down reading my newspaper and noticed that my leg felt wet.I looked down and it took me a few moments to work out where the blood was coming from. I went to get a nurse and while I was walking down the ward my foot started bleeding too! It looked quite dramatic for a while but fortunately it stopped fairly quickly. Well that's one way to get your cannula removed.

Jayne I had a similar incident happen to me only it was my drain!......I was in recovery and one of the nurses accidentally pulled out my drain on my right breast and no one noticed until they tried to get the bulb to fill with air......I suddenly felt wet under my arm and looked an dit was all bloody and I said well here's the problem, you pulled out my drain!......The PS was NOT happy!.....

Arnie, HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!.......Sorry I missed it.....

Faith, how exciting!......I am soooo happy for you!........I wish I had your talent for writing and music......

Dh still has no job.......Is getting some unemployment but not nearly enough.......

    Oh wow bunnies.

Quite a lot of activity in the bunny hutch.

    ((((((((((Vivvy)))))))))))))

Girlfriend of tomorrow. Good for you. I'm glad to hear that you're seeking help & intervention. As Barbe already mentioned, hoping that a quick tune-up of some sort is all that is required. I swear by my 'happy pills' (Atavan) which I now very, very rarely take. Just knowing that I have them and that I could take one usually is 'enough' at this point.

    (((((((((((Jayne)))))))))))))

Wow. How had I lost track that you were still awaiting the big swap?? It was fun to read just now about your excitement leading up to the big event. YEAH!!

I won't keep naming individuals, cuz I'll be leaving too many others out.

We're already packed up & will leave our place at 4:00 a.m. to get to our early flight. Silliness. I may just take a happy pill about getting to Texas. I have my compression shirt, compression cami, compression sleeve & compression gauntlet. That oughtta do it??

Vivvy, I think I'll take a boat round the world to come see you. LOL. Not sure I could manage the flight there anymore.

Here's a happy daisy to leave for my send-off:

YellHi ladies I have been out of sorts this week.  I guess I am feeling guilty.Last week my husband of 31 years asked me if I would consider selling our house and move to Montreal.I quickly answered back no because the thought of looking for new oncs in a new province was just too stressful. He said he understood but now I feel awful for being so selfish. I guess I am going to have to do alot of thinking about this.

I just saw on FB, that today is our Jayne's birthday.

    No housecleaning for the week!!!!!

Sending you love & joy across the big pond, Jayne.

My husband celebrated today, Aug 8th as his birthday for the first 16 years of his life. When he went to get his first job they required him to have a notorized birth certificate. He tracked it down and lo & behold, he was born tomorrow on the 9th.

He was the fourth of four boys & his mom must have just gotten a wee bit confused by her fourth trip to the hospital. So we always celebrate today & tomorrow again.

So Jayne you're in good company for your party.

    True story.
