No Safeways here anymore, only Vons.  But we do have a Dreyer factory in town, So I am sure we must have them.

I was able to use my Vons card last time I was in HAwaii

No change for me which is just fine since I've eaten out every night this week (it was my birthday week).  I did try to ELAB for breakfast and lunch in preparation for the wonderful dinners I've had and I worked with the trainer last night so I'm hoping that's why my weight didn't go up past the 121.

Good luck ladies and have a terrific weekend.

I stepped on the scale just before work, but clothed.  165, so I hope to remember to do my official weigh in when I get home in 3 hours.  If not, 165 will be where I stand.

No change for me either - I've been seesawing plus and minus a few pounds for the past couple of weeks but I am really going to try harder.  I was so excited some time back when I moved from  the obese category to overweight, if I lose 8 or 9 lbs I will graduate into the healthy weight range!!!  So that is my aim and I would like to achieve it by 1st August because that will be a year since I finished active tx (except for Tamoxifen) and started to concentrate on losing weight and increasing activity levels.

Now I'm great at making decisions like that above but I have a very bad track record on carrying through - put a plate of chocolate biscuits in front of me and I can so totally crumble and chicken can get so boring!!!!  And I think Irish birds have much larger appetites!!!

Have a good week ladies - here's to less of us reporting in next week!!!!

Well, the truth of the matter: I fell off the wagon.

The good news, when I fell, I didn't run away & join the circus -- as was my temptation and sincere consideration. Then last night was our monthly potluck at our dance club, tonight dinner w friends, tomorrow surprise birthday party w neighbors.

    Hmmmmmm.

    Must start over.

    Must begin with committment.

Must lean on you birdies for the week ahead.

Ladies good luck over the next few days with eating like a bird... LOL!  I will be off to Nashville for work meetings tomorrow and will gone till late Tuesday night.  I most likely won't have time to get on a computer while I am there.  I will chat with you lovely ladies when I return on Weds or Thursday as I have to fight my daughter for computer time, since it is her lap top.  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and week.  Hugs to you all!  I'm going to try very hard to eat like a bird while I am gone but with corporate feeding us they are cheap and it will be hard, as they want to give us donuts and coffe for breakfast and sandwiches and chips for lunch.  LOL!

Thanks!  It's so weird that one year ago I was going through the freaking mess that we all have been through.  I was finally starting to lighten up and I just got a voicemail from the gyn to call her "today" which now means tomorrow...which means something was wrong with my PAP and now I'm freaking out that I have ovarian or uterine cancer and will have to go through this all over again with a THIRD cancer (had a melanoma 5 years ago).  Please send up prayers thoughts and anything else you can think of.

Sorry to post that here...it's all I can think about right now and I'm just so distraught!  I dont want to go through this again with other cancers!

We will pray that it is just standard stuff she wants to talk to you about.  It could be that you have a little infection or something.  When I was 22 I was told that my pap came back stage 4!  I changed doctors, had the test redone, and it was normal.  When they call and tell you stage 4, you really freak!

cake....maybe they want to tell you everything was fine. Even if the PAP came abnormal it doesnt necessarly mean something is wrong. Okay, I know you are nervous, Im sending you lots of Hugs.♥

Cake big ole Southern Hug coming your way!!!  {{{{ Southern Hug }}}}!!!!  Praying everything is o.k... However, years ago I had an "abnormal" pap and had to have what they called Laser surgery.  It was no big deal, I had an abnormal dysplasia.  But I am praying that you will simply get a clean bill of health.

    Cake ~ {{{{{BIG HUGS}}}}}

I had a call back on a PAP a few years ago, totally freaked me right out. I had to have a LEAP, probably like that laser surgery Renee had, they had to laser off some abnormal cells. Scared the tar right out of me, but everything ended up being okay. They removed the non-cancerous, abnormal cells & all PAPs since have been normal.

Please try not to think the worst, and I know that is the hardest thing to do. We have all been there, done that, haven't we?

You will receive a "special" prayer from me every day until I hear you are okay.

    Please keep us posted.

    Lots of love & gentle, but tight {{{hugs}

Cake, adding my hugs & encouragement as you get new news. We will all be eager to hear what you learn. Know that we'll be cheering for you from beginning to end. You can do whatever is necessary. You can & you will. Even if it means buying some new big-girl panties. You'll do it!

I am just back from my l-o-n-g awaited "second opinion" appointment and I LOVE my new BC surgeon. She performed a miracle in under five minutes & I literally gave her a hug!!!!

She removed nearly 60 ccs of fluid from a rock hard projection along my incision line. The best news of all: I CAN BREATHE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, somehow I had been able to adapt to having minimal oxygen & maximum pain, but this breathing maximum oxygen and no pain concept is a real winner!!!!!!!!!!

I seriously feel like I could fly about the rooftops. I am delirious with joy. Delirious!!

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo filled with hope for the first time since I don't even know when. Big hugs to all of my fellow birdies.

This is the craziest of journies that we are on. I treasure the friendships & support here that have kept me sane, or nearly sorta kinda sane.

I wasn't looking to lose weight, but now I have to walk every night, do more reps with my arm weights and get in some extra yard work to compensate for the snacks I have been tossing down while watching a lot of World Cup soccer.  I'm as bad as a man lately with my spectating, minus the beer, and I may be swilling that tonight too if I watch the NBA championship.  Kind of ironic to watch two sports where the guys have like 2% body fat (not even on the outside!) while I'm snarfing up the extra calories that I don't need.  I kniow better!  Wonder if I can change my ways tonight and go for the seedless grapes instead?

Oh yeah, cakeisgreat, do not panic.  I panicked unneccessarily six mos. ago when I had an abnormal PAP.   My GYN said it could be from lack of estrogen (menopause) or the Tamox. I am on.  (I just had re-check, but don't have the results yet, but should hear next week.)

Of course, I did tons of reading on it at the time.  The thing about the PAP is that it is a long, long way from abnormal cells to cervical cancer.  It takes years to develop the cancer, and long before that happens a woman can get treatment to get rid of those cells, and I don't mean hysterectomy or anything nearly as drastic.  Remember, the PAP is for the cervix, not the uterus or the ovaries.  In a large number of women, the abnormal condition resolves all by itself.  We just need to go to those six month re-checks to be safe in case early treatment is ever needed.

    WAY TO GO MEEEEEEECieEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I clocked in this morning at 142.6 at our house, so I'm back again nearing my low, so I'm thrilled too!!

We just left my 'new' surgeon's office and she aspirated yet another vile of vile fluid, so I probably was below 142 for a heartbeat there. LOL.

We're headed to our summer spot in northern WI. Artist colony of all things creative. Moderate temperatures and no humidity for 99.9% of every summer. She gave us the thumb's up to head to our penninsula mecca of galleries, studios, theatre in the park, concert series, sailboat serenades and my bicycle!!

Last summer I rode 827 miles!!!! I'm going into the biking this summer at my 'best' beginning summer number in recent memory...... so that's a very good sign.

So I plan to avoid all of the home made cherry goodies, from all of the local orchards and concentrate on all of the farmer's road side produce instead.

Thanks Meece for starting this thread. I give you/us/the birdies for the motivation to make a difference in the spring!!

It's officially summer now. Well, in 12 more hours when we arrive. LOL.
