carollynn79, That mantra was from a skit on Mad TV.
-
I love MAD TV. It's always good for a laugh.
"Look what I can DO!"
-
I'm gonna be bad tonight... I'm having pizza, cheesey bread sticks and wings from Papa Johns to celebrate the results of my post treatment mammogram. NO CANCER!!!!!!!!!!! I think I deserve it
So pooh on the diet train tonight... sorry girls, I don't mean to sound like a downer! But I am soooo happy! This is the happiest I've been in a while. It's like a weight has been removed and I've been given a reprieve at least till November. LOL!!! That's when I have to have my yearly mammo done.

Yep, yep. I think that clear scans and tests go in the special celebration catagory and gives a free pass to enjoy yourself with no concern. Congrats, Mimi.
-
Meece..I couldn't agree more.
Finally my weight lost without trying stopped.
I stuffed my face for 2 days. My appetite is back. I gained 2 pounds in those days.
As of yesterday I'm legally watching what I'm eating. I feel better now.
-
Sheila ~ Happy that your appetite is back. That is a big load off of your mind, I know.
Renee ~ Ditto what faithandfifty said, enjoy those goodies for all of us! You're darn right you deserve it !!!!! Congrats on the great news!
-
Im starving. Time for Eddy's bars. By the way Val if you have Stop & Shop Supermarket where you live they are on sale this week for $3.00.
-
I haven't stepped on the scale this week until today. I am so discouraged. I guess I am going to have to get on a specific diet. I am still floating about 2 pounds over my recent best.
-
Way to go Renee!!! Hope you enjoyed yourself.
Hang tough Meece. It's been a stand still with me recently no matter what I do. The weight just seems to stay the same. DH keeps losing losing losing and nothing for me. Oh well as long as I feel better.
-
Yoo-hoo...my supermarket has two new flavors of Edy's Fruit Bars: Pomegranite/Cranberry and Blueberry/Acai Cherry. I can personally attest to the yumminess of them both.
p.s. My supermerket prices are $4-something, but WalMart has them for $2.88. WalMart did not have the newest flavors, tho'.
-
Just got back from first post treatment mammo...all clear and no ultrasound needed
Total of 3 inches lost on new diet (12 different measurements) - will probably weigh in on the 30th when I next see the doctor...
-
Michelle ~ Such wonderful news on your mammo!!! {{big hugs}} That is something I've never done, measured areas of my body for weight loss. An idea to entertain... That number on the scale really gets me down at times. I think I rely on that too much.
-
If I could choose where I would most like to loose inches, it would be in my upper arms.
Congrats, Michelle!
-
For me the scale fluctuates too much and I find that I get down on 'high' weigh in days...I never did the measurements thing before either, but it was in the book I am following. DH hid the scale so measurements are the only way for me to see if this WOL is working for me...so far so good
-
Sounds good, Michelle. What book is it?
-
Michelle congrats on the great post treatment mammo!!! Big hugs!!!! so happy for you
Meece I agree with you and the rest of the girls, it gets me down when I have a high weigh in day or don't lose any weight.
Renee

Hi Michelle...So happy for your results. another celebration is in order. Last night I ate enough chocolate and other goodies to celebrate Renee's good news with her. When I need another piece of chocolate have another good excuse!
elimar..i didnt know or maybe dont remember your love affair with Edy's. We have blueberry acai flavor but I've never seen pomogrante with cranberry flavor.
Hugs
Sheila

meece - just google 'Metabolism Miracle Diane Kress' for the book information...
I am celebrating two fold tonight: clear mammo and my COBRA Subsidy has been extended until end of Sept! There is an AWESOME Low Carb Chocolate cake recipe made with almond flour that is a freebie on my new diet so I can indulge tonight, topped with light/sugar free whipped cream...YUM!
-
Yummy, doesn't sound like you are suffering at all!
-
After the fourth day i really stopped craving crap and high carb items...there are so many recipes in the book and also on the MM Forum that I really haven't 'wanted' to cheat (ok I do miss bread and fruit, but I can incorporate low carb bread and fruit in Step 2 so it is only temporary!). All I know is I am eating healthier, I am not having to count calories and can enjoy liberal amounts of the "free" foods listed in the book so I am never hungry...I have more energy and I am losing inches. What more could I ask for
-
If anyone really likes lemonade, Edy's lemonade Pops are fabulous. The tangerine are yummy, too. They have coconut, ICK, for anyone who likes that.
Sheila ~ I don't have a Stop & Shop near me (don't know if there are any in MI). I find them pretty cheap in Wal-Mart, $2.98.
-
So are Edy's Pops low cal?
-
80 calories and natural fruit, some flavors have even 60 or 70 calories and its a nice size.
Try one Meece.
Val I just got the lemonade. The only flavor didn't like was strawberries. Pineapple is very good too has actual chunks in it.
Good Morning Everyone.
-
I've never seen Edy's pineapple or tangerine. My old standby flavor is Lime. A bit tangier than the Lemon and super good after a spicy Mexican meal.
-
I'll have to check and see if we have them out here.
Chuckle, chuckle, Elimar!
-
We have La Rosa fruit bars, but I went on their website and tehy have no calorie count.
-
Meece - I officially weighed in today and I stayed at 147.5 no loss for me this week. All that cheating on pizza I did. LOL!! That's o.k. it's worth it to be cancer free.
Renee
-
Meece - Edys is Dryers for us on the west coast, I was in Vons (Safeway for you in No Cal) tonight and they have all of the flavors.
Cheryl
-
When I was in Hawaii my daughter used to shop from Safeway too. They were on sale all the time I was there.
