Barbe. I just put this up over at the beach.
It was "interesting" to "hilarious" to have the grands in the audience.
Here's what evolved with WonderBoy as the afternoon wore on.
He ended up strumming my guitar for me and took over at the mic, too:
Fortunately, after I gave him a bit of the spotlight, he was willing to go sit back with the audience.
Could have gone the other way, but thankfully it worked out ok.
She left the twinzees in the stroller, buckled down, till the very last minute. LOL.
(Good choice.)

Edit to delete a double post. I do tend to repeat myself.

Hehehe, WB is a natural. Does he do housework? It's a holiday and hot here today so no housework will be taking place in THIS house.
Ok, laundry doesn't count.
Well it can count if you like.

hugsssssssssssssssss
peachiestttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt of vibessssssssssssssss coming your way.
Loads to juggle with lots of ego sparing finness on the cards still 2 meetings coming much emailling and loads of resource making despite troublesome Printer, and software. Needless to say, the journey continues to get "new" school on track and understanding my loverly DS, and trust me he is Loverly.
My DD just got her first recorder today (she's 6 for a wee while yet) and 1st practice book for recorder club. She is so pleased with it, and it was lovely to have a go with her, remembering tunes from when I played. Kids finish school end of 3rd week of July here.
It's after midnight and DH is at the office, "finishing up"-deadline..and back broad next week.
I took DD to her first support playgroup for siblings of Special needs children and it went well. It turned out there was a fair going on next door which she found really wonderful,so I took her,ice cream, trying the drums, and hoola hooping (got her one) and winning sweeties in the charity draw, and choosing "the best ever animal, a mouse" to be made for her out of a ballon by a gentle clown. Special.
Faith your grandson is lovelyyy. Arnie, Is your girl all healled up (back), what about your DH, all ok now? Sorry I don't remember seeing how he's been doing. I am sooo out of touch.
Barbe, I think of you so much as that picture, Avatar, are you going to show off your new funky hair?
Coonie daaaling hope you are weel. Bet you are working too hard. How's your beautiful girl doing?
Got to go, arm giving me jip, and nearly 1 am.
xxThinking of you, i'll send a prayer to all my lovely bunnies in a minute.

Shiny...have I told you lately that you're awesome???? WELL, YOU ARE. I have no doubt your ds is loverly. (Last time I heard that was when I was watching My fair lady...hehehe) Anyway, you are such a good mum and I love to hear how it's going with your wee ones... My daughter has re-ruptured the disc in her back that they had repaired. She will have to deal with the pain until she allows them to do a total fusion. She's not willing to do that now because it's a 3 month recovery and she has the little ones. She takes alot of pain medication. Dh went back to cardiologist today at 11 a.m. to find out when they are going to re-do his procedure, (place of stent). I haven't heard from him yet so he must be busy... he'll let me know when he gets home. Thanks for asking :-)
I haven't done any housework but I've spent the last few days rearranging and cleaning the garage. Built a couple of new work tables and organized things. Looking much better! Don't have time to start on any wood projects though, have to go do my client's gardening tonight...too hot here to do it during the day. Tomorrow I have my 3 month onocology visit. He's not gonna be happy with me since I quit the arimidex on March 17th. \
Faith...wb is adorable!!!!
Hope all you dustbunnies are doing good and having a blessed day!

Dear Arnie,
Thanks for the feedback..xx. I was very stressed and concerned for DS today, but had a lovely visit from one of his old helpers from his infant school and she let me voice my worries and helped me with some reading stategies for him, so made her lunch and talked and feel more "up to" all that I need to positively acheive with the school this week, back on the horse so to speak. Had meeting with the advisor re special needs education Tribunal stuff, the Upper Tier DID rule that there were errors in Law, but now the case is send to 1st Tier to be reheard etc, oh, so unessesairily taxing. Anyhooo. DD is putting kids to bed, me in bed, pain killers, ahh yes, thank the lord for those.
Soooo sorry to hear about your DD's relaps. Such a drain with the little ones to deal with. It's a tuff call, shame she doesn't have a bunch of nanny like neighbours, as the strain from the pain is a burden I am sure. \Bless her. I will pray for her healing, and strenght. Hope you are fairing well. I gather your onc is unawares of your decision to quit arimidex. You just know what is right for you, and you have to listen to your body don't you. Hope your DH has run with good news, shame they have to do his proceedure again, deeeeaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrryyyyyyyyyyy me! Your family's going through it. Getting all the hard stuff over with in one lump, then smooooothe sailing for you all after that, please God.
I just can't list you all anymore, too scared of missing a precious bunny out!
love

Just home from our overnight in MI.
Arnie, it was indeed a hot one up there today. Goodness sakes. They had me bouncing between two buildings in the morning and then again in the afternoon, both buildings. They had a fire in their building earlier this year & had to split up. I had no idea when she asked me to come for the day. Anyhow, it was a bit insane, even for me. Craziness.
Thank heavens that my hubby was able to give the entire day to me -- he drove there, then between the two buildings, hauling everything in and out and out and in, then in and out and out and in and then one final out.
Had she told me all this, I would have said no. Honestly.
Well we both lived to tell the story.
Arnie. My heart goes out to your daughter. What a challenge. Will send my prayers, encouragement, hugs right after Shiny's. You have indeed been thru the wringer as a family. Sending the same for Mr. Arnie. We'll look for an update when you are able to share.
Shiny. You should right a book about the whole process of being an advocate for your son. It is simply amazing the work that you must put in. I think our countries differ somewhat in the process. I know parents here must also always be diligent in getting the best for their children. You, our Shiny-of-the-shiniest deserve yet another award. Mother of the decade perhaps.
Hugs, bunnies all the best of the very best. As we continue not to clean together. LOL

Scan and mammogram day tomorrow and even now am starting to get a little anxious!
The scan is not the only thing worrying me as I am sure that the doctor (or me) will be very happy with the weight gain that has happened. So today am trying to take my mind off tomorrow and having time pottering in my garden... have even been down to the plant nursery and pick up some new ones which I will hide next to the ones I have got. DH thinks I am the Imelda Marcos of plants.

Hey everyone - hello and HUGS, courage, strength and peace. A quick stop as I figure out what to do until the sun comes up in another hour or so. Car alarm went off at 4 am and police just towed the car away. I may have to do a bit of housework later as there is some mail to sort and bills to be paid. First I will go to Tai Chi, then Walmart, then we will see... hugs again, Nancy
-
Vivvy, I thought you were entering winter? Are your winters mild enough to grow in?
Nancy, what idiot stood by and watched his car get towed? He must have been near...at least in walking distance! heheheheheee

I go to the hospital at 730 AM on June 1st.......Wish me luck......I have to admit this time I am a little scared because usually if they think it's nothing then they don't get me in for a week........But she wanted me in ASAP this time.......Thank you all for your support and prayers.......
-
Lucy hope all goes well with your scan. Thinking of you.
Vivvy hope all is well with you too.
Nick and I are in Lesvos, enjoying some greek sunshine over the college half term break. I worked on Wednesday, then had mammo after work, then home to pack for flying out early Thursday morning. Mammo was fine, uneventful, which is good. I was so busy I hardly had time to worry too much. Just wanted to pop in quickly and say hello.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to all you dusty buns. xoxoxo

Hey everyone - housework is done and I am free to go visit with grand baby later. The kitchen sparkles - not that big a deal since I live alone and do little cooking. laundry is caught up and bathroom is ready for guests to drop in. Don't kick me off, I promise not to do anything more for a few days... Hugs for all Nancy
-
Nancy. Our next door neighbor's car alarm went off over the weekend...... not crazy early, but it rang for a while -- till they sorted it out. It made me think of you. So I said a little prayer on your behalf, which led to prayers on behalf of the entire bunny hutch.
We can extend you an exemption, this one time, for all of your sparklie-ness.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Hugs all around.
BTW: for whatever reason???? My constant pain has lessened -- or else I've just gotten used to it?? In any case, my days are much more tolerable of late. Happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all...I have not yet prperly read all the past pages but will do so later to be really caught up. I am now back. Crappy few months...short version: In January after taking daughter back to college, my not so (d)h announced that for the past 8-10 yrs he has not been in love with me (but cares deeply) and did not want to be married. Five yrs ago he started an affair (yes the children and I know who she is) which they want to continue more openly to see where it goes. She has been ok with the fact that he was not unattached, he does not see any need for a divorce (not looking to remarry) but they want to be boyfriend/girlfriend (I feel like I am back in 6th grade). Told the children last night after getting home from son's college grad...I wanted to wait until both were home, we could do face to face, wait until dd finished 1st yr of college and ds finished last yr.
The house is a disaster zone - one room has all of son's things coming into the house, another two rooms have things being packed up for daughter's move this week into college apartment, AND her things for a summer of coaching at gymnastics camp. husband has moved most stuff into the office and I guess I will want to take my things out og that room and set up space in my new large all mine master bedroom. This may fill my house work quota for the next year!!.
Hoping everyone is well, pain free, stress free, and enjoying good weather....Elaine

Dear sweet sister. I remember so vividly my own train-wreck's conclusion to my first marriage.
What a very difficult time you've had thru these several months of sorting out/coming to grips with this new era for your relationship. I'm not sure exactly if you have a plan forward, or if I'm just not quite catching on, BUT know that we are here to cheer you on -- with whatever develops for your in the days, weeks and months to come.
You can move forward. We will be here to encourage.

nope not too sure of plan although I did cancel plans and arrangements for 25th anniversary party. First was to try to understand what was happening, why it happened etc, there was no clue or warning nothing, Then it was how and what to tell the children and then waiting for them to be all home. We will separate instead of divorce (for now) since there are issues and needs I have... against my better judgment I agreed to try to share the house at least for the short term. I suppose there will be short and long term solutions and goals. As long as I do not have to see or interact with him very much I will be ok, I really do not want to be around him and don't really have anything to say to him. I plan to do what I need and want to that will take care of me (and children)...he is on his own and I believe he will quickly realize what a huge mistake he has made, but he made his decisions and choices..made it very clear that there is nothing for us to work out and doesn't want to anyway. I do not know how the children will be..so far both are stunned and overwhelmed and in shock. They are old enough to make their own decisions about the relationship with their dad (I keep my own thoughts to myself).
Its is a new adventure for me and after all the years of putting everyone first, and waiting for him to get home so we could go and do things...I have moved ME up to the top of the priority list and am trying to be grown up about it all. I can not control his bad behavior and choices, but I CAN control how I react and behave. The rest I am making up as I go.
Thanks for the support...really means a lot and helps. Elaine
-
Elaine.
I just smiled at the thought of you putting yourself first.
Hallelujah!!!!!
You're gonna make it, after all.
(Sung to the tune of the Mary Tyler Moore show tune.)
You can do this.
The making it up as you go, may be just exactly what you need to do..... on a daily basis. Put yourself first and make it up.
Of course your kids are stunned.
The best piece of "counseling" that I received at the time [the girls were like 8 and 9 at the time] was not to 'protect' them from his immoral/unethical choices..... that they shouldn't just have Disney-like time with him, but that he should be there for spelling homework etc. Not exactly certain how that applies to grown-up kids, but it was good advice for me.
***I noticed over the weekend that lionsdoe started a thread to the moderators asking for a 'forum' here about BC & divorce. Right now if you go to the very bottom of the list you'll find her request. She put up a statistical study that is insightful. Perhaps you'd want to go there and add your voice -- if you think it's a good idea.
Much love.
You can do whatever it takes.
I've convinced.
Then write a book.
I have started my book about Saint & Faith. It's good therapy, if nothing else.
xx00xx00xx00xx

Elaine,
You have looked cancer in the face and not backed down. You have all the strength , wisdom and courage inside you to conquer this as well. Making yourself Number 1 is the first step so keep going.
Sending hugs, love and support
