3jaysmom, I am so sorry you are going through this tough issue. I am TN and was unable to do HRT, so I cannot giva any advice. Perhaps someone else here can help. The best thing we CAN do is to pray for your returning health and the wisdom of your doctors to help you regain your old self. I am glad you are enjoying our "Garden" pictures and songs.

You know, 3jays, when you are feeling down, if you start to sing, it is very difficult to remain in a down mood. You could sing the songs with lyrics posted, or on some of the pages are links to actual music you could listen to. You are in His care, so take heart in that and let yourself be cheery today!

3jaysmom & the rest of my buds on this thread, I sang with the praise team on Mom's Day (I used to lead but took a permanent sabbatical after chemo treatment #1). We learned this song & introduced it to the congregation on Sunday. Quite the hit & very catchy-I find myself singing the chorus all day long, in and outside my head

I cut and pasted and it worked beautifully! Very nice song. Very nice message!

We are here.
Ladies, I have a prayer request. Bare with me as I explain.
I spoke with DIL today. She and DS are experiencing severe infertility issues on both sides. Although they are seeing specialists, they have resigned themselves to try adoption. They were getting ready to go through required classes for Foster Parenting, but DS got assigned to Afghanastan just a week before classes were to start, and will not be back until mid July.
I am the only one in the family who knows about this. (Grace, Matt isn't in on this yet, and I would like DS#1 to be the one to mention it to him when they are ready) Anyway. DIL is a teacher in two school districts (two cities) and in one city she teaches high school. Another teacher knows the issues, and somehow, a fifteen year old girl confided in her, that she is now two months pregnant and does not want the baby, doesn't want an abortion, but also does not want to turn the baby over to an agency. That leaves private adoption. The teacher has talked with DIL and thegirl privately, and the girl seems interested in the idea. The teacher, DIL and the girl, and her parents, are to get together and see if the girl likes DIL and wants to move toward this. I am sure there are a lot of things I didn't remember to ask DIL, but they are getting an adoption attorney invovled.
I am nervous about this, as a fifteen year old does not know what she might want, and it could be a rough ride for My children.
Please pray that God's will be done, and that if is his will, that he will touch this girl's heart and help her to make a wise decision. I hate to see my children hurting.
Thank you!
-
Meece, I am praying for all involved and will continue to pray for your family. You are so wise to pray for God's will. He takes care of us in so many ways abnd knows what is best for us. Yes, it is very hard to see our children suffer no matter how old or grown up they are. God bless you all. Leah

Thank you ladies. DS & DIL are practicing Christians and attend church and other related activities regularly. It is giving them a lot of support, and they trust and believe in our Lord, so I know they they are turning this over to His hands. Unfortunately for them, there has been a baby bloom in church and it is difficult for them to have all these reminders. Prayers for peace in their hearts as well, please.
Love in Christ,
Meece

Sending prayers for peace the their hearts from Massachusetts.
-
Thank you. My son is not someone who sits back and waits for things to happen. He's a do-er, so I know things will become actively considered once he is home safe and sound.
-
What a beautiful pink rose. I took some pictures of Iris's around my back door, I called it Pink Ribbon Iris. It's on FB.
-
So long since I have been to this thread! I have missed it, just haven't felt much like computing.
Meece- I won't say a word to Matt. Also, I remember when my hubby and I were in the throws of all that fertility stuff. My mother developed terminal lung cancer. I went and cared for her for six months until she passed away. when I got back home every lady in the church seemed to be pregnant! I remember having a little chat with the Lord that first Sunday back. Just 7 weeks later we adopted our son! He was six at the time.
Now a picture from Kauai!!! I had a wonderful time back in April before my taxotere/herceptin began

-
Thank you, Grace. Just thinking of their pain brings tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat. Same thing happens when I read what you have been through.
I never asked, what did you think of the chickens in Kauai? We bought earplugs after the first day. By any chance did you see the guy who rides around on his bike with a rooster (a real, live one) on the handlebars?
-
Deborye, can you post your iris pics here? I find FB so overwhelming....
-

We thought they were so funny. It is so noisy in Okinawa that they didn't really bother us that much. We went into a shop in a town near Princeville. The clerk was telling us about her home and I asked how she dealt with the chickens. She said, "A pellet gun works pretty good." We all burst out laughing!

-

Chickens, chickens everywhere. One local said there were so many because there was only one KFC on the island! -
Grace-good to see you computing again! Yeah-1 KFC & a couple hurricanes, mix it all up & you get island-wide alaram clocks!
-
Hey Meece,
I know where your chicken picture was taken! The Blow Hole!!!
Eph 3_12 - thank you!
-
The first one was, but the hen and chick was at Ha'ena Beach Park, across from the Maniniholo Dry Cave. (I know there was no landmark showing unless you can recognize grass.) Matt must have been working this weekend, I didn't hear from him.
