    Hi All,

Just getting caught up for the day... put me in on your roster, 168 lbs... looking to get to 145ish! I think of you ladies during every craving... I have to get through this beginning the diet stage... once I see the numbers start to go down and I feel the "energy" I am sure it will get easier!

I bought some gum today, a trick I try to do when I have a craving... sugarfree of course!

and, as I shared on the Stage 1 thread, I am going to take a daily dose of metamucil to get my daily fiber intake... anyone heard any objections to it on our Tamoxifen? Figure it is fiber and good for you!

Excited to get this rolling! And, if we have bad days, we can talk about those, too... as we all know all to well, there will be good days and there will be bad ones :)

This is so uplifting. I will have a full glass of water to fill my tummy now.

I feel I belong to a wonderful bunch of women who we all have the same issues beside our BC.

    Good Night!

I woke up this morning thinking E-LAB. Seriously.

Then I genuinely made myself laugh, because I said to myself, "Actually you are more likely to sing like a bird than eat like one." Which of course would have me in my own program of 'S-LAB'.

I'm starting this morning feeling awfully "slab-like" though I have already been out for my first walk of 35 minutes.

Great to have amazing company on a never-ending quest toward good choices. I'm going to need you.

    xx00xx00xx00xx

***Wouldn't ya know it that the scale said 146.2 this morning, just as soon as I said I didn't want to cross over 145???? Did you hear the alarm bells go off???? Feel free to announce my immediate back-sliding to the entire world.

I am going to be watching if anyone posts some tips especially for "middle-age belly fat."  It's that whole menopause re-designing my shape thing, because my weight has not really changed -- just my shape.  I already do sit ups/crunches.  Does anyone have a realistic exercise for the waistline?  I say realistic because there is an Ab-Doer (yes, from t.v.!) in my basement gathering dust.  I would prefer an exercise that did not involve purchasing an accessory.

I think I already have membership from when this was on the stage one thread......if not count me in!  I am getting close to going from what the BMI police consider acceptable to overweight........ so want to drop about 5 pounds or so before that happens. That is what I have gained in the past year.

Elimar- I find that the brisk walking does help with keeping the middle section somewhat trim ........ well, at least trimmer than NOT walking. Know this is the case for myself anyway as when we have gone on vacations and not done this as faithfully I can feel it......of course on vacations I am not eating the same way as usual.

    Okay here goes:
5'4" and weigh 166. Ouch. Before all this happened I was up to 175 so I'm doing better. Doing the no carb. stuff, but pizza is my downfall. I do 2 or almost 2 miles daily on the treadmill in 30 minutes partially on an incline. My general prac. doc. was amazed at the shape of my legs. I've always had good legs but my torso looks like I am 7 mos. pregnant from the front and back. I have no ass. None what so ever. All my pants are baggy in the rear and tight in the waist. The perfect setting for triple neg cancer. Might as well have painted a bulls eye on me.

Here is my problem. Portion size. I really don't snack much and sweets are not a problem. It's just that I eat to much at meals. To top it all off, I had a pretty ugly eating disorder as a young adult. As much as I hate to admit it. Sometimes I see the same pattern developing. Over eat, feel like crap, and then, well now nothing, but back in the day, really gross.

As for salt. LOVE IT!!! I have found that olives, pickles, or a few salty peanuts help. Better than cheetos or potato chips.

elimar brought up a good question  <MIddle Age Belly Fat>.

Thats one of my biggest problem.

Femara and antidepressant makes it worse.

I walk a lot. But that part of my body always sticking out.  Heeeeelp!

PauldingMom...Here we meet again, how are you doing?

Portion control was one of my weakest point. Im still learning to eat smaller amount.

We have a nice bunch of women here with plenty of Sense Of Humor.

I was good last night and no sin was committed.  LOL

    Have a good day ladies.

I am working on the portion control.  I have had one cup of light coffee, a bowl of oatmeal and 6 blueberry/flax granola chips.  I have my radishes nearby in case of emergency.  I am heading to the break room for a glass of water.  I am trying to be good.

Somewhere I have a list of stretches that are supposed to shape the waist.  No machines involved.  I had it before I lost my waist.  I will look.

I haven't started out too good today. Had a banana this a.m. to take with the AI pill & lots of water with vitamins. However, had too many crackers for lunch, way more than I should have. Did not count calories & quantity. Shame on me! The dinner I am fixing tonight is Mexican Chicken, I plan on cutting the recipe in half, & will have a very small portion with a salad. Nothing, I repeat nothing, after dinner. I was 149.4 this morning.

I have also heard that the best way to lose belly fat is walking. My DD really flattened hers after her second baby by doing just that. She had tried crunches, & they didn't work for her. I never had a belly until I started this AI & I know just how to get rid of it. WALK - WALK - WALK

Meece ~ I also have read that stretches shape the waist. Look forward to any list you may share.

I seem to have redistributed my weight as well. Right into the middle of my body!!!! Larger thighs which make my pants snugger & right in the middle so as to make the job of zipping them up a CHORE.  :D

My goal is to lose 10#'s. I am not going to set an end date.

Confession time...I started munching on my kids doritos and then I remembered that I need to watch what I am shoving in my pie hole.  So rather than be upset with myself I am proud that I put them down.  No walking today but tomorrow I will be walking :)  I keep reminding myself to take things slowly and to stop being so harsh on myself.

Ladies- you are so fun!!! Jaimieh- this last post is HILARIOUS... and stop being harsh on your self :)

Okay ladies, you are talking about belly fat... I have the J Lo and Beyonce Booty! Okay, probably bigger than theirs, so any tips on reducing the booty, let me know!

Paulding Mom- Even in my wedding day in my perfect size I had booty, not sure what it would feel like to have none at all... so you complain about having none and I complain about too much!

As far as the belly, mine is pretty flat... I do crunches to try and maintain.

Nicole - I can SO relate to the booty thing.  Even though I'm overweight I have a waist, but I will ALWAYS have junk in my trunk (as well as on my thighs).  It just doesn't go away, no matter what I weigh...oh, that rhymes!

Anyway, I walked at lunch and ate some cottage cheese and a pear.  I'm making a chicken, mushroom, spinach and red bell pepper stir fry with brown rice tonight.

I'll try to stay away from the Doritos...but seriously, have you tried the Sweet and Spicy Chili flavor?  They are heaven!!!

I have no problem with being put on 'the list' at 173.5!!

Was picking while I was making the dinner tonight - it's just so hard not to when I'm hungry!!  Did a lovely dinner with roast chicken, potato, brocolli, carrotts, green beans and sugar snaps but I'm hungry again!!! It must be the cold weather!!!  I will go and prowl in the kitchen for awhile - does that count as walking??

I need to get to walking as well.  And stretching.  I have hyperlordosis which only accentuates my booty.   I went to the break room earlier to get my water, and there on the table...a plate of Thin Mints.  I took two (80 calories) and left.  I will not go through there again, well I guess I could, since food especially sweets don't stay around here long.

Hi everyone, I've been good today.  I had my 1/2 cup egg beaters omelet and 40 calorie wheat toast with 2 tsp lowfat cream cheese.  Then for lunch 4oz grilled chicken on 6-8 ounces of lettuce and 2 tbsp light salad dressing with a small apple cut up in it.  Yummy!! The bad part, I forgot to take my supplement drinks with me so I haven't had any of them today (to bad they're nasty anyway).  I have drank 64 ounces of water!!!

Bad me ... my husband bought me a new treadmill over a week ago and I haven't even walked on it yet.  haha!!  Gotta get started with that.  But American Idol comes on tonight.  I think I'll do it right after it goes off.  :=)

I'd love a treadmill, but I would use it while watching the t.v.  I have a hard time sitting still or being unproductive.

I have surpassed my limit of 1000 calories for the day (prior to dinner) so dinner will be sparse.  DH took me for pizza at lunch.  That blew it way out of the water!  640 calories!

Meece, I posted my weight yesterday, but when I weighed first thing this morning, I was only 178, so I think that is what I want you to post.  The 183 was with shoes, fully dressed and after lunch.

So that is 5 lbs that I wont have to deal with.  I tried to eat good today,  salad for lunch and dinner, I am not going to count that cookie or the hand full of chips.

I will start back to the gym next week and maybe I can get in at least 3 afternoons a week.  I have been pretty lazy since the dx.

Thanks for all the support.  We can do this.

Hi everyone,  I've been sitting in meetings at my conference since 7:30 this morning and just got done at 9 pm.  They fed us well at breakfast, lunch and dinner and I had two glasses of cabernet with dinner.  Geez.  Not much exercise today.  I hate to post my weight in fear you'll kick me out of the club and I really do need to maintain and get rid of this belly fat!  I haven't gained weight but I think it went from my one boob and my butt to my belly.  I can squeeze the fat in my belly into unbelievable shapes!

Valjean, you aren't far from me at all!  I live 5 minutes from M-52 on the north side of Williamston (really close to Perry).  Thanks for the compliment on my little granddaughter.  She's a sweety.

    Juanelle, I don't think it's lazy - I think it's recovery!!

Good luck to us all tomorrow!

I am going to have to limit my weigh-ins.  It can be addictive.  I weigh .6 lb more than I did at the beginning of today.  But I jst finished dinner, so maybe tomorrow morning will be better for me.
