Forgot tp weigh in this am but I am at the mall walking
. it is rainey and chilly hear in MD. I got the go ahead to start running yesterday so I am going to start tomorrow if it is not raining. Trying to talk DH into joining the gym again.
-
Well I really didn't want to join....but perhaps in this case honesty is the best policy. !5 days ago I weighed in at 190 lbs, 5'5" BMI is 31 (how did I get here?) Current weight today is 180. I tried WW and counting calories nothing happened at all by staying at 1000-1200 calories.
So, now I am doing low carb and thank the gods I have lost 10 lbs. the best part for me is I am not a hungry hungry hippo all the time, this low carb is seriously curbing my appetite in spite of the meds I take. Yesterday was my Mom's 80th birthday and I was drooling on myself as I ordered cupcakes at a bakery in Omaha to have delivered to her house yummmmm.
Now I need to exercise but so you all know I am missing that gene LOL
-
I weighed in this morning at 154. DD and I made pasta with marinara sauce and veggies last night. I brought the leftovers for lunch today, along with some fruit and baby carrots. But I have to confess that I ate an Egg McMuffin for breakfast this morning instead of my usual fruit and yogurt. I guess I was rewarding myself after my weigh-in...probably not a good idea!
Happy Friday everyone!
-
I having lunch with a girlfriend today. I'm wearing tight-waisted jeans and that will remind me not to shovel in too much (to avoid feeling the pinch.)
LOL, OmahaG!
-
Well I got out of bed, showered and stepped on the scale. The new top photo is my "proof of life" photo. I was so relieved after yesterday!
-
Congratulations to our top loser mimi.
Congratulations to all of us who joined to this journey. (I meant the weight loss journey)
Thank You Meece for opening this topic.
I really feel good about this Friday weight sharing as I said that my weight remained the same.
It shows 162.8
-
My weight is 215

Sad I ate out yesterday and I made horrible choices so this morning I was 153.5 so I am up 1.5lbs Not stressing out about it though I will be getting it off. I got the clearance yesterday to start exercising like normal again. This will be the first time since 1/8/09 that I have had clearance to do this. I plan on sometime this weekend lacing up the shoes and starting to run again. I'm gonna be sore but it is going to be awesome to start again. I will only get to do it for a month and then I will have another break due to surgery BUT I will be losing the easier way from the surgery. I am having stage 2 of my flap surgery and I am prepared to beg the surgeon to get rid of my thighs.
Anyhow happy Friday...keep up the work ladies...if you gained like me just start again and eventually it will come off.
-
Congratulations, ladies! We all know this is not easy, but it is great to be together on it.
I don't plan on posting in increases, unless you want me to.
-
Well now that I read you've decided NOT to post our "gains" I can sign in for the day.
I certainly didn't want to start the program by lying.
Let's just say I was one of those that went up. Whaaaaaaaa.
I was doing really good and then yesterday I was in such a whiny mood. My skin infection is driving me a bit batty. So DH's solution was to go see an afternoon movie, which meant a bucket of popcorn and then we went out to dinner. Healthy place & I ordered a salad, but it's the kind of salad that came with candied pecans, oodles of exotic cheese etc. I LOVED my butternut squash soup.
So let's just say I went the wrong direction. THUD.
Which brings me to:
Excuses Limit and Defeat
Congrats to our big winners, I stand in awe.
Edited a day later, because I just realized that we are E-LAB not E-LAD. LOL
So................
Excuses Limit, adding Backsliding
And you all were so king not to point out my error.
-
173 lbs for me - lost half pound.
Flying visit as DS and DD are home and we have some catching up to do and DS is going to tidy up my lapstop as it has been running really slow lately so I won't stay on line long. Congratulations to everyone for such a great start!!
-
Ladies, I will weigh in when I get home from work... not sure which way the scale will ping!!!!
I have to say, the longer you go without snacking the easier it is to walk by those snacks!
A bowl of chocolates sits right outside my office in my admins desk... and I WALK AWAY... this has never been the case. I am so proud!... lets see if the weight loss is there. I have a feeling I have neither gained or lost at this point.
-
Congratulations, to everyone who has managed to take even an ounce off. I stayed the same 178. I hope I can do better next week. I plan on starting at the gym and doing some walking. I really need to make better choices. With all the encouragement here, it should be easier.
WooooHooo to all the losers. (and I mean that in a good way)

Juanelle you can do and you to Nicole... Just think of that vacation you have planned with DH and that bikini!!! Put a picture on your fridge... of someone in a bikini you would like to closely resemble looking like that will help to motivate you Nicole.
My goal is to weigh 125 lbs or less by my August weight loss goal date and go to Florida and do something I haven't done in years... wear a bikini!! LOL! well, at least a tankini. I haven't even had a swimsuit on in 3 years or a pair of shorts felt to ashamed as I started gaining some weight and didn't want to expose myself.

No American Idol for me either...I watch my own show in my room while the family watches AI.
160.2 today but I have to admit it probably has more to do with having been sick (lost voice) on Thursday and really did not feel like eating.
My Best Friend is up for the weekend and needless to say - I blew it - and ate cake!!! Yumm, yummmmmm
Have a great weekend all!!!!
-
Weign i n = 167... not bad, not great... but I will take it! I don't even think we gave a whole "week", so this is progess!
Thank you Renee for the encouragement, I think I ca get there... two months... a good goal!
Night all!
-
Wow! Some of you are so fearless...A BIKINI? The only way I'll ever get in one of those again is if I Photoshop a pic of my head onto Cameron Diaz's body. That's really cheating, isn't it?
-
Meece- are those your toes, nice pedi!
-
I brought healthy snack.
I only wear one piece skirt bathing suit. Only when I go to vacation.
Nicole..you wear your bikini and we have a picture together.
This was a fun week. One pound lost is one pound less.
-
Good luck to us all on the weekend!
-
Good Night!
-
Elimar you made me laugh... photo shop your head on Cameron Diaz's body... LOL!!! I'm sure you can do it too!!!
-
Good Day to all hope everyone has a good weekend. Lots of food challenges this weekend, dinner out last night but I ate reasonably, no dessert, only a bite of fried food, crab legs and lots of veggies. I have a baby shower today and card club tonight. I see I am the heavy weight so thanks all for your encouragement. Walking is not an option for a bit but I am going to try my bike, I had to go off my naprosyn for 10 days so my arthiritis is acting up as well as my heel spurs and other aches, of well maybe after this surgery I will beging to feel better and have more energy, with summer coming I sure hope so!!! Garden time is a coming, we noticed our rhubarb is peaking out and we have lettuce growing in a pot in the potting shed and it is taking off.
-
Nicole, yes those are my toes. That is my stop-gap polish because I wore open toed shoes Monday and haven't started my Spring pedis yet. You are right, we haven't even had a whole week. Good going, girls!
-
Who knows how many calories are in a pound???
-
I do.
3500 calories per pound.
UGggggggg.
I was afraid of that reality.
Information is power.
LOL
-
You mean we have to burn that many calories to lose a pound?
-
Yea, got my bike ride and exercise routine in today, feel good afterwards, well off to a baby shower!!!
Thanks for the calorie info Faith I will try to think before I put it in my mouth!!!
-
Meece yes that is how many calories you need to burn to lose one pound
Sad isn't it...
We have flood warnings here today so who knows what kind of exercise I will get into today. I am ready for spring and wonderful weather.....we leave for Florida in 11 days so maybe if not here we will have some good weather there
.
-
Been good today had my egg beater omelet, 40 cal toast; for lunch grilled chicken on bottom 1/2 bun and a side salad from chic fillet. The bad is I haven't drank all my water like I'm suppose to... 64oz of water a day is really hard to do especially on the weekend.
The weather here is cold, dreary and rainy and 45 degrees!! It is suppose to rain off an on almost continuous for the next 5 days. I'm sick of rain!!!!
