Ok who is going to watch Survivor with me?

Russel was a sleaze but he deserved to win, he did out play them all. I loved Shambo but hate that hair style, she could do with a makeover. I think I will nominate her for What not to wear and get her a total new "do". If Russel could have just been a little nicer at the end he would have won. It was an interesting season.
-
HA! Re: Russell - nothing like a little self promotion (and a good ego, too!) Whatever. It is was it is (was what it was?) and that's that. Time to move on. If he's serious then I think it's pathetic but if it's all in jest then more power to him for making fun of himself/Survivor. No use crying over spilt milk, right? As always, JMO.....
Spar, please nominate ME for a makeover! Pleeeeeease?
(I SO need one, live in sweats and OLD, OLD clothes)
-
I think Russell's big mistake was taking out Shambo instead of Natalie. He played the game so well but that error in judgment cost him a million bucks.
The jury seemed to be voting 'against' Russell as opposed to 'for' Nat. It always strikes me as odd that they get so upset about the lying and broken promises. Its a game! It's not like these people are friends. I am more disturbed by the contestants that are just plain rude and/or mean to others for no reason. Like some of the young girls were with Shambo.
And where the heck did Russell find that wife of his? Maybe he is nicer in real person than we thought.
-
Prettyinpink, he has to be nicer in real life or she married him for his bucks.
Jaybird, make me a video of you and your clothes and I will nominate you for a make over. LOL
I am comfortable with not cutting my hair, no make up , tshirt and sweats so I don't want no make over but I certainly understand the women that do.
-
Off topic, but don't you wish they would do a make over for a bilateral or unilateral mast without recon woman? My husband suggested that almost 2 years ago.
-
I read Probst's blog today, and saw the interview with Russell - he's upset still, rightfully so. He said that many of the jurors told him if the vote had been held now they'd have voted for him.
I suggested to the producers that they hold one vote after the last trible council, and then let them vote again after they see the show. Some may change, some may not, but they are too upset and emotional to make a real, rational decision immediately after they are voted off. It'd be nice to have some distance..
We have had several nonentitites, coat-tail riders win Survivor and it's tiresome. It's a social game, to be sure. But it's not ONLY supposed to be about who likes who better, otherwise it might as well be high school. Some healthy respect for a game well-played should be a part of the voting process. They don't even ask valid questions at the last tribal council anymore- just make whiny speeches.
Still, I'm looking forward to 20 with Russel and Boston Rob. I could live without seeing Coach ever again - he leaves in my general area and is getting publicity for being an "orchestra conductor" (old ladies and kids as volunteeers.) I'm sure he's doing a good thing for the community but I found him tiresome.
Anyway, for those who want to get makeovers - I wonder if What Not to Wear is still looking for people? They occasionally do theme shows, and badly dressed breast cancer survivors would be right up their alley.
I'd be willing to write a letter to nominate somebody and also I want to go on! I'm pretty well-dressed by 5k to spend in New York would be hard to resist and honestly, I was a woman with a figure who wore low cut, tight clothes and I have no idea how to dress now. It'd be nice to have some tips - and cash.
And, be on TV!
-
Ok - I was glad to see Natalie win. She definitely played a better social game and that's important. Russell was bragging about how he was going to win. You can never be too sure on Survivor!!!
-
Wow, Russell and friends aren't stupid - they got that website up and running fast.
-
HA! Russell's website is hilarious. Those Tshirts. He is very driven and as tenacious as a bulldog, I'll give him that. Yes, I agree - very nice looking family. He does seem a bit sweet at times. I like him.
PIP - great idea!
-
Although I am in the minority, I do agree with kittycat, and was glad to see Natalie win. Russell was the better player, but part of the criteria is "outlast" and Natalie DID outlast all those on the jury. At the time of the vote, I thought Russell should win, but seeing how he appears to be a "bad loser" I am glad now that Natalie won! And he will get his chance on the ALLSTAR show. I still feel that since he was so sure that he would win, that he may have pre-spent some of the money, esp so close to Christmas. Might account for his poor attitude. Doesn't look like he is as rich as he said he was! JMHO.
Coolbreeze, I don't like "Coach" either...could do without seeing him again! But with all these die-hard players, it should make for a good season! Can't wait!

Jennifer Lyon has passed away - read the article here:

She was only 37 years old.........so heartbreaking!
-
So Sad. i was watching Survivor at 2005 when I was DX. I dont remember her. Have to go to Survivor.com see how she looked like in the show.
-
I was thinking about her at the beginning of December - it's on this thread. This is so sad - I suspected that things weren't going well when I couldn't find anything recent about her on the internet. I mainly remember her because I was so jealous of how beautiful she looked when she first woke up in one of the scenes. Such a loss.
-
For all Survivor Fans - there is a special show tonight in the usual time slot. It is called "Surviving Survivor".
-
Thank You ADK.
Sheila
-
I can hardly wait till next week, as much as I love James and Boston Rob I sure hope Russell gives them a run for the money.
-
I have been a survivor fan ever since the very first season. Back then, I belonged to an on-line forum that would screen capture parts of the show and previews and try to figure out who would be booted and in what order! But after about the 3rd season or so, Mark Burnett figured out what we were doing and how we were doing it and went to great lengths to impede us! It became quite a challenge to "spoil" the show after that. Eventually, most of us just went on to other things. I think there is a Survivor Spoiler community still out there, but I don't get on those forums much anymore.
I will say this, too, several years ago, I sent in a video to be on the show. I'm a vietnam era veteran, female, came from a family of 6 boys and 3 girls, and was a little older (I think I was in my mid40s when I sent it in), and actually got through several rounds of interviews! It was pretty exciting, but in the end I didn't make the cut.
Oh well!
-
Our own almost, Survivor
Good for you Michele
-
Watched last night and I thought there was way too much emphasis on Russell. I think this either means he wins or he goes home first.
I admire you, Michele - I would love to try out, but I take too much essential medication and I don't think you are allowed any medication on the show.
-
Can't wait for next week too. Our family could be classified as Survivor junkies!
I have Randy in my survivor pool (it was a random draw), the first 2 people out have to pay another $5 , I almost hope I have to pay, I really don't like Randy!
