Oh, My! Our friend Faithandfifty is heading down there this week. We'd better warn her to pack her parka!

Thanks.
It is cold, gloomy, foggy and a bit of rain here this morning. Yucky weather to be out in, but nice to have happen while I am at work!
I am meeting my parents for lunch today, unfortunately the place we have planned is always packed on rainy days and I am soooooooooo craving their veggy soup and all you can eat cheese bread!!!
-
As hmm reported, it will be in the 40's tonight also in Tampa tonight. Been home all week with a terrible cold, but enjoying watching the wading birds and ducks out on our small lake.
-
I just got a text msg from the local tv station, Severe weather New Alert, winter storm watch in effect for Greater Caldwell County until 01/30/2010. someone else in my office said they heard 12-15 inches of snow expected!!! we already had our allotment of snow for the winter in December!!! We haven't had this much snow in 13 yrs, when I met my hubby in the snow.

The conditions for fog have made the air thick and damp. I'm happy though, got my soup and bread for lunch. Yummy!
-
We ended up having a beautiful day, in the sixties but chilly again tonight ............with temps in the seventies tomorrow. Not complaining. This weekend won't be so good.

It is just getting darker and drearier here. There isn't any rain in the forecast but at 3:00 pm it is as dark as just after the sunn goes over the hills.
-
I'm in SW Florida and I think this is the coldest winter we've had since I started snowbirding. My house is definitely not designed for this weather. So far the cold has caused transformers to blow in our town (= no heat & no electricty), pipes to freeze (no water) and our cable lines rebelled as well (no TV & no phone). But at least we don't have to shovel snow . . . just throw towels on our plants. At least it gives us something to b*tch about!!
-
Wow! I had no idea. It will be interesting next winter to go back and see how we veiwed this winter. I thought we were supposed to have El Nino, but we haven't got the rain. We have had som good rain in the last ten days, but not nearly enough. The politicians are trying to convince everyone that our draught is over, but until they let us store the water or release it, we are in a dry zone.
-
Towels over the plants--I love it!
"Global warming is real and dangerous."
I always wonder what the danger was--the globe has had ice ages and thaws for more years than humans have been around and still survived. Now I now--it's dangerous for Florida plants!

Good one NM!

Good morning ladies. Weather will be cloudy, some rain andf snow predicted for Saturday. I hope it is only a dusting. Next week looks better.
BTW, my youngest sister went to San Diego to visit some friends. I told my other sister that it was raining and cooler out there. When the youngest one called she said it had rained for 5 days so she was extending her visit. My sis asked how I knew about the weather in San Diego - I said BCO!
Mum - you are breaking my heart with that picture - so beautiful - so inviting!
-
This morning we have a blooming snow storm UUUGGGHHH
-
Just look at this picture and imagine you are here and not there!
-
AAAHHHH Thats much better.
-
We are due to have partially cloudy day with fog. Actually our fog season is usually a lot worse than we had had so far this year. It makes for a dreary day.
I have to attend a funeral for a close family friend today.
After the service, we are going to an area called the bluffs and toasting him. His wife passed away on Dec 8th and He passed away on the 28th. The family just couldn't bear to have two funerals so close, so they postponed this one until after the holidays.
-
I can't believe it! The fog has cleared and the sky is really blue. It looks like we will have the view in my previous post as we stand on the bluffs. It may still be cold but beautiful!
-
We just returned from the funeral. I took this picture from the bluffs with my cell phone. As you can see most of the sky was blue, the fog light, and the weather mild. It was even more beautiful in person.
-
Meece - so sorry about your friends ... how sad. The pic you took is just breathtaking.
I hear some of you are in for a big snowstorm - we are just getting the tail of it - a dusting on Saturday. It is a balmy 19 degrees here.
-
We are not due to have anymore precipitation until Tuesday or Wednesday. We are heading over to the high desert tomorrow. I hear it is supposed to be around 61 and sunny.
-
Its -14 here today not counting the windchill.
-
Okay that picture was not from here.I exagerated.
-
I don't care where it was from, it's breathtaking!!!
Glacier Bay???
-
Just said Antartica iceflow
-
Well if it's Antartica, it wouldn't be near Alaska. Amazing how pretty.
-
That pic looks a little bit like my back yard right now.
12 degrees, wind gusing to 30-50 mph, don't even want to know what the wind chill is. Got to go out in this and go grocery shopping today. Brrrrrr.
-
I am hoping that we are going to have another pretty day here. I need a bit of sunshine. I found that I was on edge last night. DH and DS were trying to be funny all evening and it was like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. I think I need to de-stress.
-
Me too have to go out to the gym and grocery store. We better bundle up.
Need to book a flight to California
