Have been thinking about you Faith, and glad to read you are healing well and keeping all here entertained while healing. Best to all,
Tender
-
Be gentle with your DH! Don't wear him out!
-
ooooooooooooooooooooo Tender.
I will probably cry, seeing you here.
Of course, I cry when I see light bulbs turning on, an afghan on the couch, a glass of cold juice.
Thank you dearies.
I am getting more entertaining, the further I get in this journey.
Just ask my DH.
The way I figure it..... is that all the healing has to happen above the navel and that everything below the navel is good to convince the top half that it's worth getting better.
So I will refrain from any more categorizations..... at least until we get to FL next week.
This will all go down as gray-OH-they-think-I'm-crazy-sex.
I am still in quite a deal of pain, but it seems better if I don't acknowledge that.
Of course the SNB side is much more unhappy than my left side. Of course I am right handed and that makes me grumpy.
I have an apt with my onc on Mon and hope he will have the 'right' prescription for the long haul, that will help with sleep, and the crying jags.
Love to all of you.

Awwww, I hope you get the meds doses just right. Crazy sex is good -- go get him tigress!
-
Faith, glad to hear that you are healing. Even gladder to hear that you and dh are creating new categories for post-mastectomy romance. You are a funny, funny, eloquent woman!! Just remember that each minute from now on, it gets better and better, and less painful. Thinking positive healing thoughts for you. xoxo
-
Faith sounds like you are doing great in the physical healing department. How is the emotional department going?
((((prayers and hugs for Saint)))
-
Faith, I am sure that since you are now over a week out, you have things worked out. But, here is a tip I came up with concerning my SNB. I was in pain there for weeks, so I kept canned sodas in the fridge and when I needed a "cool pack" I just wrapped on in a tea towel and tucked it under my armpit. Sounds stupid, but the cool really helped me forget the pain.
I just thought you might get a smile from picturing me walking around with a pepsi tucked in my armpit. You too, could look that fashionable if you want to.
-
((((Faith)))...Glad you are on the mend......My onc gave me Tramodol for pain at night.....It doesn't make you feel groggy the next day.....Also to help with sleep I take Trazadone........Hope you get relief and much sleep soon........Love reading of your sex-capades!...LOL......Mine have kinda taken a dump since my hyster and ooph.....*SIGH*.......Hopefully, I can get my mojo going too one day......Love you bunches!......By the way, do we Pm you for Saint or Pm her directly???.....I am so confused....And yes I am still here but trying to wean myself off .......It's not DH it's me......i am on here WAY too much........Love you bunches........
-
Meece wish I had thought of the Pepsi can under the arm pit trick when I had my SNB and ALD.......
-
Good luck tomorrow with the onc appt Faith - get the good drugs!!! As for the crying jags, I personally think we don't cry enough and hold too much in, so I'm all for you crying any old time you want to. There's a Visa commercial out there right now that makes me cry every single time I see it ... part of it shows women in a bc walk of some kind, for about .75 seconds, but it sets me off even just hearing the music! Anyway ... I digress
Take the good drugs, let DH treat you like the queen you are, and go slowwwwwwwly toward healing, baby steps. We'll take your turn making sure the world rotates smoothly for a little while longer. Love you. -
(((((Faith))))) Lol @ Mary telling you we'll take your turn making sure the world rotates. I'll take a spin or two Mary.
-
LOL.....me too!!
-
Sleep well tonight, dear sister.......Good luck with your onc tomorrow!....
I'll take a turn too Sharon!...... -
Faith,
So glad to hear you are sleeping well! I love to hear about the new categories!! That is awesome for both you and your hubby.
Best of luck with your appointment tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you.
xoxoxo
Linda

Hi Faith....Please explain to Linda about your new categories in a PM because I hate to see this thread reported by The Board Police. lol
Good Luck tomorrow at the the DR. my friend.
Hugs
Sheila

Faith- Here's to a good onc appt. I hope he gives you all the right stuff. Just keep reminding yourself, you got your office clean and look how far you've come since then! Your DH is a marvel. Treat yourself right, you deserve it.
hugs
flash
-
I am laughing out loud......
Flash. That clean office you remember me mentioning is now again an avalanche of paper and all the fal-da-rah of lovely travels, never completely unpacked, but piled into piles next to piles.
LOL
But yes, technically at one point in history it was 'organized.'
But yes, again I have come far from then.
At some point I will get to return to announcing the arrival of my second little picture book project.
And at some point yet after that the third project will come to fruition......
Please keep urging me toward my life.....
It is waiting patiently for my rejoining it.
xx00xx00xx00xx
We are planning to leave for FL on Wed. afternoon.
Seriously.
Pending the onc's approval of course.
LOL
The only thing I have managed to organize are the 'categories' between my hubby and myself.
LOL
-
Faith, no explanation needed!! lol!!! I completely understand! I'm happy for you and each and every new category!
Have fun!

Ummmmmmm?????
Faith, Best of the best at your Onc appointment tomorrow...
-
Gentle hugs Faith. I'm hoping the Dr. gives you the go ahead to go ahead to Florida. Lol, he sure will know you're okay if he's been reading about all your new categories.
-
Faithie----better get those bags packed for Florida!!!
I figure the sunshine will do more for you than anything!!
I kinda picture you going stir-crazy right now....and maybe a good hug from mom and dad will make you feel better

((((((((((((gentlest of hugs))))))))))))
-
Good Morning Faith!

I'm thinking of you this morning as you visit your DR.
Hugs
Sheila
-
Hi Janet from Australia...... my guess is you're just figuring out your way around the boards here and that my happy little thread was at the top when you posted??
You are certainly welcome to hang out here, with us, as we have some of the best, brightest and happiest folks gathered round this thread,
BUT in addition you would probably be best served to navigate to the areas of the forum that are devoted to awaiting diagnosis etc.
I think it's safe to say that I am allergic to the Percoset. I took one this morning, because I will be driving myself to the appointment w/onc & I am internally itching in every ounce of skin. As long as I don't scratch I seem to be 'ok.'
It's like the head-game of the century.
More discussion material for the onc.
My parents are soooooooooooooo eager to have us 'around the corner' in FL. Sure hope that he gives us the thumbs up for departure permission.
I thought of another category for this morning's romp, but since I promised you to just keep it all in the gray-OH-they-think-I'm-crazy category, I must adhere to my word.
I got the pictures of the 'saint/faith' ribbon reinstituted. You've got to see it to believe it!!!!
xx00xx00xx00xx
I'm glad that I got that bigger purse, cuz you're ALL coming with me that's for sure!!!
-
What time is your appointment Faith?
-
Speaking of purses, watch out that you don't have it too heavy. When I went in for my first post-op after my scar revisions, my PS's nurse picked up my purse and read me the riot act. It was too heavy and she made my daughter carry it.
Florida...does that mean sunshine????? We fly to Houston next week and I am so hopeful they have sun, because we sure don't!
-
Appointment is 2:40 this afternoon.
Talking with Saint at this moment.
Thanks for your prayers.
-
P.S. Today is Cookiegal's birthday.
I've GOT to get in the shower & start toward the onc's office.
Someone start decorating the place, please.
We need balloons & cake at the very least.
-
Cake and balloons as requested

and wishes for a very Happy Birthday to Cookiegal who so thoughtfully started this thread!!!!!!!
