Wyoming...hope you are doing okay and that the txt isn't too hard on you.
Kelly...I am glad we are all here for each other. It is a nice place to come so we can say what we want and I feel a bond with all of you even if we have never met.
HunkyD...like you said we must all have teachers that made an impression. For some reason I remeber my grade one teacher...she was so much fun and one of my highschool teachers because he encouraged me a lot.
LeggyJ...we haven't heard from you ...are you a bit distracted at the moment.....LOL
Well, Avitar tomorrow... we didn't get in for Imax but we will see it in 3D... will let you know how it is. This week seemed to zip by...get home from work, eat and fall asleep in front of the TV...not a very exciting life. I am looking forward to the weekend. Will talk to you then. Have a good one.

KKing I think we have the same routine, TGIF! Work, work, work.....but there is this one man, the boss, tall, slim, blond/silver hair, handsome, and really nice. The girls, tease me about him and say they will put a word in for me, but who would want me. He's really to handsome for me. Oh well, I can dream.
-
Leggy no one is too handsome for you. Have fun.
Karen how was Avitar? Have you heard about the controversy? It says that the non white people need to be saved by whites. I think some people put too much thought into a movie for entertainment.
Kelly how are you feeling? Have you been able to get outside?
Hunky thank you for the compliment on teachers. I had some great teachers and I think that is why I decided to go into teaching. They do make an impact.
Bonnie haven't heard for you lately. Hope everything is going OK.
I had my doc appt yesterday and my numbers are going up so we changed my routine. I will getting more toxic dose of chemo so that means I will lose my hair again. I'm on day 1, day 8, treatment then on day 21 start over. My drugs are Doxil, and Abraxtine (sp) and I will continue with the Avastin. So far not feeling to bad. A little light headed and shaking but not nausea thank god.
Have a great weekend everybody.
Love ya

Oh Wyoming, I'm so sorry. Hope you get through this round, without too many SE's, and it get's it all this time. My hair still looks, awful, and as much as I try to say "It's hair!", I just want to buzz it off, so maybe I'll join you.
Monday, I had to get a blood test for my thyroid, and everything else...Looks like I have to start eating better, since my sugar levels are still to high, which could account for my being tired all the time. The holidays, didn't help, with all the candy around. Seems like an easy fix, so I went grocery shopping, and bought lots of fruit and veggies...
Hope your all doing as good as we can.
Love ya'll

Leggy I think you are beautiful. If he knew enough to think of you in a romantic way I am sure he would be interested, but men, these thoughts sometimes escape them! Plus Leggy is kind of a sexy name.
We (my husband and daughter and I) went on a long hike yesterday. I think everyone in Boulder was hiking with us and a lot of dogs too. We hiked the Mount Sanitas trail if you have ever been to Boulder. It was nice and sunny and I was really happy we went. This morning when I had to wake up early for Mass I was kicking myself for pushing it a bit. But one hot shower later I was glad again.
Kelly
-
Leggy..I think he would be lucky to have you.
Wyoming..so sorry to hear that you have to go through this. I hope you manage it well and that your numbers come right down.
Kellke...sounds like a beautiful place to be hiking. We really don't have any really mountainous areas unless you go north a bit and there are ski hills there but I dont think they would compare to what you have there.
HunkyD... are you having a nice weekend??
I did see Avitar and it was an amazing movie. We had on the 3D glasses and it was spectacular. My hubby always seems to fall asleep at movies but he made it through. He said he has been spoiled now after seeing it. I would recommend it if you like a type of sci-fi movie. Good story to it and you get wrapped right up in it. I think I will go and see more 3-D type movies when they come out. Well off to walk the dogs.

Hey KKing, just been watching football with husband. He was all for the Vikings winning today so he is on cloud 9 as well as my son. Kelly, sounds like a beautiful day hiking. When I go for walk, depending on weather now, I usually take the big dog...it is a more like a drag sometimes as she is dragging me. Sometimes getting out in the fresh air does give you the boost, and that is good. Wyoming...I am so sorry you have to go through the rough chemo again and I hope it sets the beast back and brings your counts down. I also hope you don't have too many horrible side effects. If you feel the need for an ear to listen....I will be here. Always open for a PM too. I still am struggling with reconstruction pain, joint pain and back pain...and of course, I fear what it really all is. Next month is onco visit for me. I really just don't want to know mostly. Leggy, don't ever put your self down like that....it is so hard with what we all have been through, and I know feeling positive can be a trial now, but you can land that man! I have all the confidence for you. Glad Avitar is been getting the good reviews. Our TV has only been tuned in to football this weekend really. Another playoff game coming on in about a half hour so I guess I will look for some snacks. No work for me tomorrow and I am thankful. So, happy Sunday afternoon to all....XXOO HunkyD!
-
Thanks for the well wishes. So far no sickness. I feel better this time. Just a little tired. But whats new.
Hunky you made me laugh when you said you were dragged when walking your dog. I hope your reconstruction pain clears up soon. We have been watching football all weekend also. Thanks for the invitation for a PM.
Karen "Avitar" hasn't even been hear yet. We always get them late.
Leggy good for you about eating fruit and vegetables. I'm a sucker for sweets.
Kelly sounds like you have a nice place to walk. You live in such a beautiful place.
Have a good week everyone.

Hi Everyone, Yes I am still here although I haven't been on here much lately.Sharon a lady I used to help doing bookkeeping has Parkinson's and I had heard rumors that she was not doing very good so I decided last week that I would phone her and go and visit her. I had heard all kinds of rumors that she would not answer her door and does not look after herself so when I phoned she knew it was me and I told her I was coming over to visit and to go and unlock her door while I was talking to her and she did. Well I guess I didn't believe that such a drastic change could take place in a person. She was the type that when she got up it was nice clothes jewelery to match, and hair and makeup done. When I walked in she had rumply clothes on, no make up her hair not combed and thin as a rail and totally shaking from one end to the other. Her husband leaves her breakfast for her and a sandwich for lunch and he phones her to tell her to take her pills. She was so glad to see me, she said nobody bothers with her anymore and she can't remember a lot of things and has trouble talking sometimes. After I left I decided to phone her husband that night and ask him if she would like me to come and visit once a week, people are telling I should just keep out of it and not get involved, but her husband said that would be very appreciated so thats what I will do. I feel that I am so lucky to not have a disease like she has, makes you open up your eyes to the world around you.
Anyways things have been a little crazy around here and next week I get my tear ducts done. I feel like I have not had much time for anything and I guess what I am saying is that is why I have not been on here lately.
You all take care and will talk again soon

Thanks for all well wishes! You girls are a blessing. Bonnie is was wonderful, hearing your story about you helping your friend. We all need someone like you, when we're down.
Kelly, it's like your feeling much better, a hike!!! I try to walk Wolfie a little farther everyday, especilly on weekends, when I have more time.
We've had a lot of rain, so I took yesterday and today off. It's great, to still be in my bathrobe, and it's 10am!!!!! Wolfie doesn't much like the rain, so he's giving me a break, so far...
Love to all
-
Bonnie thank god there are people like you to help out.
Leggy my Maggie doesn't like to take walks whether it is raining, snowing or nice. She is the laziest dog. Scratch Wolfe's belly for me.
Happy Tuesday everyone.

Bonnie you remind me of my mom, she is always adopting people to take care of. It drove me nuts when I was a teenager because then she would recruit me too but now I admire her and you so much for it. At catechism tonight we talked about living a life that is worthy and this definately qualifies. Good for you for following through and helping her by being a friend.
You are all so great! Kelly
-
Bonnie, you are a good hearted woman! I don't have the time or mental stamina to take on a responsibility like that. I applaud you. Hope everyone is feeling well. I have been walking the treadmill this week but didn't tonight. Lower back hurts, knees hurt...I might have pushed a little too hard the last 3 nights so I'm taking a day off. Too cold and windy to walk outside. Leggy, sounds wonderful to have a day off! Tomorrow is Friday! Yea! Hiya Wyoming...hope you are doing ok with this new round...are they doing MUGA checks on your heart often? You are having another harsh chemo. Praying that you don't get infection from this. Hi to the K's (Kathy and Kelly.) Hope you are both well. OK, well, it's time for my sweats to come out and a cold beer I guess. Take care all.....XXOO HunkyD
-
Good for you Hunky for using your treadmill.
I went to treatment yesterday and so far I am handling this stuff pretty good. I did find out that my onc is retiring. He said that he is tired of telling people bad news. He has been doing it for the last 25 years. I told him that I some requirements for his replacement. 1) must be as caring and loving as he is, 2) have his same philosophy, 3) He must be easy on the eyes. Doc just started to laugh. His last day in the clinic will be in April but he will be available until July. I'm sad but I also understand.
I'm off to bed so have a good rest of the weekend.

Hi Everyone,
Well so much for my good thoughts, when I phoned my friend to go and visit she said that she doesn't want anyone to come over. So I just said well thats okay but I am thinking of you and call me whenever you want. Will try again but she seems to be resorting herself to bed and not having anything to do with the rest of the world. Guess there isn't much a person can do, but it does make me feel bad.
Hope you are all having a nice weekend, go in on Tuesday to get my tear ducts done that will sure be a relief, also still waiting to get an appointment for reconstruction.
Take care everyone

Hi Ladies,
I went to see a great movie today! Crazy Heart, with Jeff Bridges, and Robert Duvall. Oh, you've all got to go see it. What a performance. The theater was packed, and applause at the end. Loved the movie !!!.
-
Leggy I like your new photo.
Wyoming, soory your onc is retiring but maybe you will end up quite happy with his replacement.
Bonnie, keep trying, maybe your friend needs someone to keep at it.
My parents just left after visiting this weekend so I am going to tidy up all the stuff I just shoved behind closed doors on Friday! And I am staying in my jammies all day while I clean. My mom did all the laundry so I really don't have too much to do
Kelly
-
It's really raining here, in CA! I 'm staying home today, but not out of the rain. I had to climb up and clean the gutters, and was soaked.
Take it easy Kelly, and all the rest of us too!
Leggy
-
I have my first side effect from the new treatment--mouth sores. I have a magic mouth wash so it should help.
Bonnie too bad your friend doesn't want your help. Maybe one day soon she will decide you can help her.
Kelly I hope you enjoyed you day in your jammies?
Leggy be careful up on that ladder. I haven't heard of the movie Crazy Heart. I will try to remember to watch it.
Are any of you an American Idol fan? My husband got me hook. So I'm off to watch Jeopardy then American Idol.
Wyoming
-
Wyoming..we are Idol fans...at least we try to be. The first of the season is filled with a few crazy people which is good for a laugh or two....LOL! HunkyD
-
Yes, Wyoming I am an American Idol Fan, Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor , Big Brother, Amazing Race and of course Survivor. They are not all on at the same time of year but they give me something to look forward to watching (how exciting is my life) lol.
Got my eyes done so will see how that goes, good I hope.
Everyone take Care
Bonnie
-
Just caught American Idol last night, amazing talent out there.
Sorry you have the mouth sores Wyoming...I used biotene mouthwash.
Well I am off to get a colonoscopy and the one down the throat ... must say the kleen prep they give you to clean your system out sure works...I have never experienced that before, now I know every inch of my bathroom...LOL.
Hope you are all feeling well ...we have a -16 celcius today..not sure what that is in farenheit, but it is cold. Stay warm and dry.
Talk to you later

Well one day staying home in my jammies turned into four days of doing nothing. I only left the house to pick up Elcie from school. I think I was stressed about waiting to hear when I would have to start chemo again since I had that CAT scan last week. So I had my list of questions ready and was prepared to do some research but the news turned out to be good. They couldn't find anything on the CAT scan so we will do another PET scan next week and I might not have to start chemo anytime soon. I am so glad. I was in such a funk it has taken all week to get out of it even though I got the good news on Tuesday!
I hope the week ends on a good note for everyone else too. Kelly
-
OMG! That's great news Kelly, and I understand the down feeling even when the news is good. I've felt that, when I had the bone scan, and got good news the same day, that it was just arthritis. It was difficult to believe all this bone pain, isn't something just waiting, until I'm happy and getting on with my life. But yesterday was so beautiful here, the rain stopped the sky turned blue, with those puffy white clouds, and I could feel the suns warmth on my face. Everyone at work was so happy! It was a great day and we're going to have more of them!!!!!! OK, I got a little carried away, sorry.
Wyoming, I used Biotene, as well. My dentist, who had cancer, suggested it, and I had a lot of problems, during chemo., but mouth sores wasn't one of them.
Bye for now!
-
Kelly YEAH on the news. I Will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.
Bonnie my life about as exciting as yours. LOL. My wants are simple. Hioe your eye problems are a thing of the past now.
Karen, I have had three colonoscopies. I know my bathroom really well also. Isn't it amazing how much stuff one person can have? LOL.
Leggy I feel the same way about a great day with the warm sun.
Hunky and the rest of American Idol fans, the tryouts are a hoot, but I like it when we get down to the nitty gritty.
To everyone thanks for the advice on my mouth sores.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Happy Friday to all...it is my lunch break so I thought I would check in. Kelly, good news. I too will keep my fingers crossed for ya. I haven't been doing anything exciting at all. Just work, eat too much, and sleep. Had to take a break from the treadmill. I think I worked out a little too much as my knee is sore now. Weather is still cold here so outdoor activities are out for me. I have my 3 month onc appt. comming up in a couple weeks. Not looking forward to it as you all can understand. Wyoming, hope you can get your mouth sores under control. I also used the Biotene toothpaste and mouthwash. I know you have been through all this before, so you know there is always some shitty side effect. Leggy, nice new avitar. Howdies to Kathy and Bonnie. Guess I will get back to work.....Happy Friday! HunkyD
-
Great news Kelly.
Hope your feeling alright, Wyoming.
HunkyD..great that you are doing the treadmill.. I am being so lazy....I was thinking of going over to a wellness centre we have near my house and taking some sort of exercise class...see if I can get motivated. I am sure your onc appt will be alright.
LeggyJ...you have to keep talking about the sunny days you do get...it makes me feel so warm. We have snow today and the temperature is still minus something.
Well, we are bundling up and going a bit north of here to take the dogs out for a walk. We can let them run free and they love it. I am going to ask my daughter to help me post some pictures of them. Enjoy your Sunday. To the other Junies, hope all is well.

Hi! We had sun today, for a few hours, now its mostly cloudy, and 51 degrees. Guess I can't complain. I went shopping today, and helped the economy. I found a pair of jeans long enough for me!!!! Afterward, I took Wolfie to a park, had a walk, and then we sat on a bench, soaking up the sun. Lovely. How are you Wyoming and Kelly? Don't forget, we're all in this together.
-
Hello Leggy, KKing, and everyone, our weekend started out slowly and kinda grumpyish... (how is I can be in menopause and still have one of those pms days where I am not fit to be around anyone?)
So made it through Saturday without harming anyone and then decided to go hiking today in Golden. A beautiful sunny day, I think 45 degrees F or so, my sister and her husband met us there and we had a good visit while hiking. A few places on the trail were still snowy and I slipped once on the ice, my daughter fell three times, but we all made it in one piece and then went out and had some excellent french fries. yummy
What about everyone else?
-
Hello everyone. It is finally a nice sunny day. Not warm enough to sit a soak up the sun but at least it makes me want more sun.
Mouth sores are getting better. Tongue is not swollen so that helps. I haven't been able to eat much except things I can swallow without chewing so I have lost a few pounds. I wanted to lose weight but this is a little extreme.LOL
Have a great hump day
