Good morning, dust bunnies!.....Went to the ortho doc today and got another shot in my hip.....Hopefully this will last all winter......
Elaine, hope you get your new kitty soon........
Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!...I am off today so NO HOUSEWORK!....LOL
I am off to bake cookies!.....YUMMMMM!!!!>.... -
OOPS!..It posted twice!...hehehehehe.
-
Good morning fellow shirkers!
I took our two dogs in for grooming this morning - way overdue! The cat is thrilled to have the house to hisself for a few hours.
Faith - it wasn't a fun project. My sister is leaving her current employer (in fact, her last day was Tuesday) and they are trying to screw her - so I was doing a bunch of research on line (the legal kind). She is filling in for an oncologist for a week and other than seeing a couple patients and writing prescriptions, she has time to study for some modules she has to complete by the end of the year - don't ask what they are - I have no idea! So, basically she is being paid to study.
Elaine - I can't wait to see this kitty! Is this what a short-haired persian looks like?
-
yup, they are persians that had been crossed with a short hair 'ican'trememberthebreed' cat so the only difference is they have shorter hair.
-
Kathleen.........HISSELF............you've got a sense of humour Sistah........or if I mix up the letters it's hissta

Darling loveys, oh a challenging day, but you take the good with the bad you recognize that on the whole good intentions prevail and that tomorrow is another day, so on to make that one better. I shall fill you in on DS's performance perhaps sometime. Lack of thought and experience caused some upset and didn't do my dear DS justice, but as always he was precious and those who knew him melted at the sound of his bold singing. He is such a light and inspiration!
I wrote the text below in an email an hour ago to support someone. The gist of the message comes from my heart so I thought I would share it with you my dear dust bunnies, for a "rainy" day.
"Take care. Do your best today, what ever your best is today. (YOUR BEST TODAY WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM YOUR BEST TOMORROW OR THE NEXT DAY- THAT IS OK, WHAT EVER YOUR BEST WAS, TODAY, BE HAPPY FOR THAT AND GRATEFUL YOU COULD MANAGE THAT MUCH AND NO NEGATIVE SELF TALK-YOU DID YOUR BEST, THE END.) Be at peace with that, there is no benefit from being otherwise.
JUST DO YOUR BEST TODAY, BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF-BE THE MOM YOU ARE FOR YOUR KIDS, BE THAT MOM, FOR YOU, WHY BE ANY LESS?
Make space for joy in your day. Deep breaths, you are blessed.
Do not let hurt and transient stresses, however big they demonstrate at this time rob you of what joy there is to experience.
Life moves on fast, do not accept anything negative outside of you, to come in and steal your beautiful precious inner beauty and peace, it is a treasure to guard and protect.
Your inner beauty and your inner peace is yours to bask in. Nothing and no one can take it from you.
When things get on top of you. Stop, say no. Take a moment and remember your incredible beauty and value, the essence of you as only yourself can truly know it, deep breath, lots of love flowing in for you and from you. Feel your strength stronger then ever, all the positive energy you posses, go from there, discard the negative."

Sending all you bunnies great big hugs for a wondermous weekend!!
-
Shiny that is so beautiful it has brought tears to my eyes. What an inspiration you are sistah!
-
Shiny - that is very inspirational! Along those same lines, I try to remember when I am regreting something that I did the best I could at that time in those circumstances. I just have to say I love your DS and love you loving him. He is so lucky to have you for his Mum.
Arnie - I pray you are feeling okay and miss you sweetie.
Lucy - if you are baking cookies can I come over? I hope that shot works too.
Coonie - I could stare at that swan all day. Its beautiful.
Sharon - while "hisself" is recovering from his thyroid treatment he is back to beding mischievous - nothing is safe from him!
Jayne - how are you doing this Friday morning?
Elaine - hope you find just the perfect kitty to take home.
-
that really says it all Shiny. Thanks for reminding us all of the obvious!!
Well, I think there are 2 possible kittens...one male one female. Just need to go visit the male (probably the week after xmas). Such a decision
.
Momma hugs to everyone !!

Hi Kathleen. Since I last posted I have been to have rads #13 of 15. The doc saw me today and is pleased with the way my skin is looking. The T/E seems to be holding up well too. The last few days the treatment area has looked slightly pink in the evening, my DH says there is a pink patch on my back that I can't see, so I get him to put cream on it. Then by morning it has returned to a normal colour again. I am getting off very lighlty with this and I know how lucky I am. Also I am only having 15 sessions compared to 30+ that many people have. Another good thing is that DH says he can see my usual red colour coming back in my hair. To me it looks either colourless or a sort of non-descript dark colour. It is still very short but growing, so I just need patience.
Elaine good luck with the kitty decision.
Hugs to all you dust bunnies. Have a wonderful weekend!
-
Oh Jayne! You done good!
-
-
Yay Jayne. You've almost crossed it!!!
-
Hi, bunnies! Have been MIA due to a lovely new dx of pulmonary fibrosis from radiation & have been coughing my brains out all week. Better now. Jeesh.
Gotta go catch up on my reading now...
-
Hugs KAK.........gentle ones that is.

Can I join your Housework support group? I am sitting in my messy bedroom. I hate to clean. But I need to do it. I also have a leak in my silicone breast implant so I will have to have surgery again soon so that will make it worse. I live with my son who hates to clean. I have two dogs. One is a puppy. If my house isn't clean I won't even answer my door if someone comes over. Sometimes it is fine but then it will be a disaster. My granddaughter asked me today if my Christmas Tree was up. I told her no. I don't even want to put one up. I hope no one comes over for Christmas honestly. We are going out to eat. I get to tired to cook. End of my sermon. Hope I can join. I need help and I am a good listener and I like to speed clean as exercise when I feel ok. I have migraines and fibromyalgia also and no Thyroid because of Thyroid Cancer. Plus a grandson who is Autistic that I help babysit plus the 6 year old granddaughter almost 7 going on 18.

Hey Ladies...It has been MONTHS and MONTHS since I last posted. But I'm back...just had reconstruction surgery this month and am BORED to TEARS laying in bed. I can't complain about housework because my mom has cleaned my house from top to bottom while I have laid here. However, she's going back to california on Sunday, so it will be left to me after that. THEN i'm gonna need your help!!
-
Cali -so good to "see" you back! Moms are so great. Sorry about the boredom thing - how are you feeling otherwise?
Check out the Cutie thread that will put a smile on your face.
very gentle hugs.
-
Welcome and welcome back. I had to wash dishes - the ones that do not go into the dishwasher. My lamb patties are made and cooked and ready to put in the freezer. I do not mind the cooking so much, but the clean up... ugh !!
This weekend is a stay at home one with only 14 inches of snow here so far. Talk about bored -- I might have to drag out the vacuum to get some exercise... or there is always laundry.
Hugs for all, Nancy

Hi, cali! How did it go? Any pain or soreness? We're glad to see you again, just in time for Christmas!
I did take the screens out of my storm doors & put the windows in them. And bought the Christmas prime rib roast. And cocoa. And brought the snow shovel inside so I can find it tomorrow after the big blizzard we're getting. Is that enough??

Welcome Cindy! Hi to all my Dustbunnies! Hope you are peachy, or as peachy as can be.
Did a fair bit of cooking too Nancy, do like it too, the washing up, well..alot less, always seems endless!!
Gave my DH a good "sleep in" this a.m and he woke to me baking, so after being a "good mummy and wife all day" I bailled and asked for a much needed sleep, from 4 to 6 pm. Ahhh, gosh I needed that! Got to go play a board game with my DD, and try to stay awake for a wee while longer, am whooped!
Kak, so sorry you are still suffering.
Arnie, thinking of you, both.
Coonie, Sharon, Faith,Jayne, everyone!! Hope you have a lovely happy Weekend, getting into all that fun Christmas stuff!
