Hi, honey bunnies! I tried posting a message here last night from my cell phone, and after I got all done, the stupid phone said that the network connection had failed!! GRRR!
Thanks, all of you, for your kind words about the radio essay. Coonie, anytime you want a bedtime story, you just call me up, girlfriend! I have lots of experience doing dramatic readings of Dr. Seuss. You all can also find your way to the link anytime by clicking on my screenname to get to my profile, which will have a link to my blog. The current post is about the essay, called "Telling." I've had the most lovely messages on here & Facebook & to the blog itself about it, from total strangers even. It's been a real gift to hear from everyone & I'm going to have to think about doing some more things like that.
Lucy, I agree with everything Sharon said & I'm glad your arm feels better. If it worsens, find yourself a good LE therapist. You don't want to let it go. LE can develop in a heart beat and then it's really hard to get rid of.
Arnie! Jayne! There's light at the end of the radiation tunnel and it's not you two glowing in the dark, I promise! Well, your boobs might glow in the dark a little...
Barbe, I'm really glad you're on this earth. Happy One Year and many more.
Faith, have a wonderful birthday tomorrow! I'll be working but thinking of you.
Jane, Vivvy, Elaine, Kathleen, Nancy, Mary (we miss you!) & Everyone, many hugs.
I saw my pcp yesterday about this @#$%&* coughing & shortness of breath. He sent me for an Xray & some blood work. The Xray came back (I know! Fast!! Hey, I know all the good places to get stuff done around here! LOL) negative, with no indications of anything acute, but they said if I keep having symptoms, to get a CT scan. We'll see. I start prednisone today for a few weeks. It's really getting to me. The fatigue is so much better & my shoulder/chest/armpit is better, so I was slowly catching up on my life. Now this. Honestly, the fun never ends.
Fiona's former mom is coming for a visit today. She is in the midst of chemo right now for the Beast. Fiona is sitting in my lap purring & looking forward to her visit.
-
Well that just breaks my heart! The cat that would sit with me at the computer died the week before the sick one! Then the sick one would sit with me.....for a week....
-
Oh, Barbe.....hugs, honey! Until I adopted Fiona, I missed my Chloe every single day & every single time I sat at my computer & she wasn't there.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAITH & FIFTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Kathi - Fiona is such a beautiful cat and looks so loving. Also, I think you have had enough health-wise - it is definitely your time to feel well!
Barbe - I'm with Kathi in being glad you are on this earth. And again, lots of hugs on the loss of your babies. It is so sad to lose them - I know you see them everywhere.
-
-
(((Barbe))) I'm so sorry! I didn't realize you had lost your furbaby
I'm very sorry!!! Sending you hugs and prayers!!
-
Coonie, I lost TWO one week apart from each other!
-
Oh noooooooo!!! That's soo sad
I REALLY am sorry!! Our furbabies are like our children. Maybe better than most children. They have such unconditional love! ((((Barbe))))
-
((((((Barbe))))).......Sorry about your furbabies.......
Faith, Happy Happy Birthday, sweetie!...Hope it's a great day for you.......
NO HOUSEWORK today for any of us!...It's Faith's birthday!.....
On a sad note, my friend Marion lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Dec 10.....i iwll miss her so much..... -
Dear Mom,
I am not motivated to do housework on a good day. I was hoping for a miracle this way with diagnosis and treatment, but unfortunately this did not happen. LOL. Reminder that it is time to drag out the vacuum cleaner, but in a couple of hours when neighbors wake up.
For me, inviting guests is what works, and gets me major motivated to cover the basics. Main squeeze is also a neatnik, so I keep things neater in general than I would otherwise. So another benefit in addition to the obvious one
What about asking for friends to chip in for a cleaning service for Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate at this time of year? That way, you wouldn't have to do the heavy work yourself and everything would be just spiffy for guests to drop over.
Then you could invest the cleaning energy in something a lot better for the soul.
-
LOL Claire......This site isn't exactly a housework support group.....We actually come up with excuses NOT to do housework!......Whether that be a birthday, anniversary, bad hair day, or just because.....We DO however support each other through the good times and bad and occasionally manage to get some hosework done but ONLY if necessary.........Mom2two has actually moved on and left the boards for a bit to persue other things and to help out in her community......You are welcome to stay here and be a part of our little non-housework group......It really is a great place to play......
-
Just don't do housework....or at least admit to it!
-
Faith!!!! Hope it's happy!
Love to all you dustbunnies!!!! xoxoxo janet
-
JANET BABY!!!! How are you!!!??!?!???
-
Hi everyone! It's been a long time. I have been on facebook alot. Some of you are there, too! I have stepped back from BCO. Too much to keep up with! I love each and every one of my dust bunnies! see ya on facebook!
-
Hugs Cheryl, I hope you are doing ok.
-
Faith!!!!! Happy birthday you glamorous one! 1st I saw you "digging for potatoes" on your DVD and well, you were really cute, but not glamorous he he, lovely thaugh.. then, wow, you showed us those fab pics of your dd's wedding and you in your devine dress!! Well daaaaaaaaaaaling, you look FAB what ever age you are today, and isn't it a Fabulous thrill to have the blessing of getting older! I wish you the best celebration ever. ENJOY! !
It is Midnight Barbe, but just wanted to send you my bestest hug and heart felt sympathy for the loss of your 2 dear cats. I am very sorry.
ps: To those of you who commented on the school Christmas show.. and DS. They are just unsure of themselves (staff) and I am just getting in there at every junction (misunderstanding) and helping them to get their head around 1 misconception at a time. They do mean well, we will get there in the end.. but please think of DS on Thursday a.m when we are in church for this play/carol performance. If he doesn't manage well it will be due to their lack of experience and not due to him as he did so well in the infant school.
Thinking of you all.. and off to bed, have DS off school tomorrow so will be doing some fun stuff, but it's "tomorrow" already here! so best get some kip!.. or Barbe will chastise me!!
No lists tonight, i'd get it wrong! but thinking of you all. (A super Coonie, lost guru I am not!)
xx

Hey Bunnies!!! Shinygirl---will sure be thinking of you and DS on Thursday!!! Sure wish we could take a peak. I bet it goes WONDERMOUS!!! Enjoy your time with him tomorrow!! Hope you sleeping by now
I guess MaryRose is still on her cruise?? Hope she had a great time!
It's good to see you Cheryl!! So glad you're doing well, and movin on......keep in touch though, ok?
OK bunnies........now, I have a medical question. I'm sure you all probably know this, but my doctor does this every visit and I've never ask him why. He puts one hand flat on my stomach, and taps that hand with his other hand....making a "thumping" noise. Why is that? What is he checking for? Now, if he was thumping on my head and heard a hollow noise, I could understand, but I don't understand the stomach thumping?? Anyone??
((((Arnie and Jayne))))) Thinking 'bout ya'll!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's time to start celebrating!! So glad you both are don, or about done with your treatment!! Yaahooooooooo.....
Hope our birthday girl (Faithie) has had a wondermously fantastic day!!! She soooo deserves it!
And to my sweet Canadian friend....wuvving you and sending you sweet wittle hugs
-
Thanks to all for the birthday joy.
Too exhausted from love to hug you each one by one........
So I'll just send out a great big group hug.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Your faithandfiftyTHREE!!!!

To all my dustbunny friends,
Good morning...you all will be waking up soon and hope you have a great day. Me, I am off to bed.
See you all in 9 hours.
-
-
I'M DONE!!!! YEAH!!! Can't do the happy dance...not enough energy...lol I'm burnt, tired and ready to take a Vicadin ES and go to bed.
Quick story: I shed tears on the radiation table today...not for what you would think. During my 33 radiations I got to know a sweet little Arabic man. We counted down our radiations together. He finished a week and a half ago and I gave him a card and hugged him and told him I'd be praying for him. Well, today he made a special trip in and brought me flowers and a card to congratulate me for being done. We hugged and it was just soooooooooo very special....
Jayne...how many more? Cheering you on sweetie...
Sharon ((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) and thank you...
Well give me a few days to heal and I'll be back on here with ya all...sending love and good vibes to all you beautiful dustbunnies!
xoxoxo janet

Hi dust bunnies, wishing you all a good Monday.
Arnie I hope your last rads goes smoothly and Congratulations on being done. How is your DD doing?
I'll soon be joining you, I had #9 of 15 today, so I'll finish next Tuesday as long as the machine keeps working every day.
-
Yay yay yay Arnie. What a special fellow you met. I'm sure you are physically hurting and emotionally drained but gosh..........it must feel good to be done!! I sure remember it. I finished just before Christmas 3 years ago.
Gentle hugs, enjoy your sweet sleep.
Jayne, when are you finished? It's gotta be soon. I hope you are holding up ok, hugs.
-
ARNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We knew you'd cross that finish line!!!
Now rest.
Jayne!!!!!!! You're next!!!!!!!
Love to all the bunnies.
Now get over to the beach and sit in a lounge chair all day to relax!!
-
Happy dancing - well not exactly dancing, but smiling and very glad you are done. Rest, relax, heal quickly. Hugs and prayers for all, Nancy
-
Oh Arnie, congrats! And to have the guy come back to wish you well, just made me tear up...
The small blessings we find in the everyday just amaze me.
-
Why can't someone invent a self-cleaning house? Something from the Jetson's maybe? I'd even buy a Rosie....my husband couldn't possibly complain about a robot, could he?
-
Sheesh, Jayne I'm sorry........I didn't see your post.
