Ok who is going to watch Survivor with me?

I would love to try out for Survivor, but they require that you can't take any drugs - I have Crohns, so that lets me out. My DH grew up and works with Boston Rob's aunt - I have signed photos of both him alone and him with Amber. Did you all hear about their little girl, Sophie? She was born within the last couple of months. Anyway, I think the comparison to Russell is very apt - wouldn't it be interesting if they did another All-Star show with both Russell & Boston Rob? No one would ever feel safe.

I don't like Shambo anymore. Her personality changed like day and night.
Maybe lack of food is playing a big part.
Who do you think will win this season?
Ann..We had a BC survivor on the show remember I think it was 7 season ago., but she was voted out the very beginning of the show.
-
I know there was a BC survivor on the show - I admire her for doing it, but she must not have been taking any medication. One of the other contestants, Jennifer Lyon, discovered she had BC after the show - she knew she had a lump but she ignored it for a long while mainly because she didn't have health insurance. She was dxed with stage III. I couldn't find anything after 2005 about her - I hope she's doing okay.
-
I think Shambo may be off her meds for the show!

Lots of good posts! All y'all have given me lots of food for thought! Hope Thur. show will be as exciting as I anticipate. At the end of last week's show several people were muttering about Russell, so he's got a target on his back. Hope he wins immunity and doesn't need to play his hidden immunity idol just yet! Will be interesting to watch the reunion show and see if he does, in fact, have a bridge! Can't wait 'til Thurs!!!!!

I heard about Survivor before it was ever on the air, and I saw the call for try-outs. It was touted as a psychological game and it intrigued me. I wanted to apply but I had a 2 year old at the time and didn't think I could leave him.
I can't say I regret it because I was glad I was there for my son - but only 5000 people tried out for the show that year. My odds would have been good. I was 39 or so had had big knockers - the kind they usually like.
(Now, it's a whole 'nother story. lol,.)
That first year was so easy - they gave them rice and fire and all kinds of luxuries they don't get now.
I think the show is a bit hard for me to do at this point - my idea of camping is a Holiday Inn - but I do have a Survivor buff for my bald days.
I have the hots for Mick - don't you ladies wish your doctors looked like that? And, I'd love to have a lawyer like Jaison too, yowza. But, I love Russell and want him to win, because he has played the game better than anybody else.
Sometimes though, all it takes is one good move and you get the prize.

The only season I didnt watch was the one in Africa. I did follow it tho.
Was that the one they drank animals blood?
-
I'm thinking the reunion is going to be better than the show! I am not impressed this season. I did say from the get go tho, that Russell would be the one to take to the final two. Altho the others could give him their vote because he did play so well. I am in agreement about Shambo becoming a bit strange! I guess our rocket scientist wasn't so smart after all and the young one, I think his name is Brent. Mick is def. nice on the eyes and I think he is an anesthesiologist. That being said.....he can put me to sleep anytime!
until next time......

2tzus - I saw that website, but it is old - that is one of the reasons why I was concerned. The newsletter points you to articles that are no longer available - the latest I could find for her was actually around 2006. Her website said something about an October 5 article in US magazine - but I don't know what year.
-
Definitely an interesting season!
Russell has played the game, but he's pissed off so many I can't imagine him winning it all. Speaking of which, the man lies about everything, so I don't necessarily believe he has money. And owning an "oil company" can mean he owns a well that hardly produces. He might be legitimate, but given his deceiving track record I certainly question it.
He is making this season fun to watch though! Can't wait until Thurs!
p.s. Mick can examine me or drug me anytime lol

This week should be interesting - will Russell win immunity? Will he need it? If he needs it and doesn't win immunity will he play the idol? I thought John should have shared the pie, but then again, with Russell he may have still been voted out. Mick is good looking........ imagine staring at him as you're drifting off before surgery
I would love Survivor to have another Allstar show and having Boston Rob and Russell together would be interesting. Can't remember who mentioned Boston Rob and Amber having a baby - how wonderful. I did love watching the Allstar game with them and they are the reason I started watching Amazing Race - which I absolutely love now.
-
If I miss this next episode,.I'll be p*ssed! LOL.
-
So, I got a little bored and decided to find out if Russell is a millionaire who owns an oil company
Looks like he's not. He owns Hantz Marine Management, a marine towing company.
It looks like total sales were $100,000 to $350,000.

I still love him but now my heart belongs only to Mick. LOL.
Wait, I suppose I should find out if Mick is really a doctor!

Smaller version without .............
-
Yum yum Seyla.
That deserves and inline so I can see it each time I read this thread.
-
coolbreeze.....I dont know how to do that. Wait a minute did you google the image?
Let me try it.
-
Thanks 2tus - I feel better about her now.
Jenn - that is so funny that you started watching Amazing Race because of Rob & Amber because we did the same thing and now we love the show. What did you think of the finale? I was so relieved that Meghan & Cheyne won - if the brotheres had won, I would have been so mad!!!! I felt for Erica and Brian - it looked like they had totally turned everything around but not.
-
Doctor or not, Nick is YUMMY! Maybe he just plays 'doctor' on tv???
As for Russell, IMO he deserves to win as he's totally controlled everyone to this point. He's had his way with the vote more often than not and how about him finding immunity idols (plural!) without any clues. He's gotta be playing well to still be in the game while being such a sneaky (strategic?) player. Ya don't have to like who wins ya just gotta say they played the best game.
-
Seyla, I didn't see that you'd inlined the photo the first time! I looked for a beefcake photo of Jaison, but he was fully clothed, darn it. He's too young for me to think about anyway.
-
CoolBreeze ..This is as close as I could get for what you were looking for!
-
-
Sorry.I had Jaisons picture but its not working.
-
I would play doctor with Mick!!! oops did I say that with my internet voice, he he.
-
Here is The Jaison:
-
One more.
-
ADK - I was pulling for and really glad Meghan and Cheyne won Amazing Race - I really didn't want the brothers Sam and Dan to win - they really irriated me when they took Brian and Erica's cab, then when they agreed to work with Big Easy and went back on the deal. I just didn't like their attitude. I felt for Brian and Erica, but found that she was a bit fussy - Meghan and Cheyne worked much better together, which is probably why they won.
TONIGHT IS SURVIVOR - LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT............
Good pics of Jaison..............thanks for sharing.
-
It was fun to see Russell finally having to squirm. I thought "what the heck is he doing?" when he put on the immunity idol before the vote. Now, I think it was a brilliant, but risky, thing to do. I too wonder how it changed the vote. Surely it will be one of the questions at the finale.
Anyone else notice that we no longer refer to him as "Evil Russell"?
-
I loved last night, Russell was really mad............. Glad to see Dave is off, Monica although she was voted off was really smart by putting ideas into everyone's head about Russell, Brett is making his move, still can't figure out what Jaison is doing and Mick is starting to waiver. Shambo is crazy as usual and Natalie is just moving along staying off the radar for almost everyone.
I too thought Russell was crazy to pull out the idol and wear it, but it paid off at least for this week. I think he really needs to win some immunity challenges so that he can hold the idol until has to be played, then win more immunity. I am curious to see how the jury would vote. If they vote on playing a good game, then I would think Russell would win, but has he made too many people mad? Then again mad or not the jury I believe sees that Russell is playing a wonderful game, outwit and outplay. Foa Foa went in the merge with less tribe members than Galu and managed to get Galu to vote off their own and have been picking them off one by one since them. If Galu had been smart they would kept Shambo on their side through the merge or voted her off earlier so that they would have the numbers. Each week is getting better and better..............
PIP - you're right we stopped calling him Evil Russell when we realized how smart he is playing the game.
-
It was a good show last night and it did not bother me that Dave & Monica are gone. I thought that Russell was being a bit of a jerk when he put the idol on at tribal. I dn't think folks wwould have voted for him, anyway, but wait until the idol no longer counts!!! They said that there are only two more episodes - I guess they are trying to finish up by Christmas!!!
-
Definitely a great show this week! Does anyone know when the finale is? I hope I'm not working that night as it's hard to not find out who won with all the media announcing it the next day!
What the heck was up with Dave's hair? That guy needs to cut it short or keep it pulled back 'cause that balding and long frizzy look is awful on him! I hate that they all now look like fashion models when they get to the jury. It wasn't always like that. I also hate that once they're on the finale some are barely recognizable with all the make-up and weight gain! Love the show though and haven't missed an episode ever!
