Just thought I would give y'all a Susie update. Bryan called earlier tonight and gave me the lowdown. The doctor was able to do everything laparoscopic! YAY!! Fixed the mesh, fixed the hernia, and untangled the intestines. She should be able to come home soooner than what was expected!! Maybe Wed!! WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!
-
Glad to hear Susie is doing good. How are you doing Janet?
Teresa
-
Awe thanks for asking Teresa. I'm doing pretty good! I started driving after 2 weeks. I feel good, but I just started getting a lower back pain. Not too sure if it's from the hysterectomy or not. You would never know I was cut open! The only thing that is showing up is where the tape was pulled off of me and where I had the blisters from the tape. I'm just trying to get my business up and running again. It's been so hard being in the hospital so much and keeping my biz going. URGH! CANCER SUCKS!
How are YOU doing? I bet you are getting excited!!! My ps told me no matter what ...he can't open up my left breast and work on it for a year. I guess because I have had 3 exchanges and cellulitis 3 times and he has done so much work in there. I keep massaging, but it is still a bit firm. I'm gonna start physical therapy again. I don't see my ps until the end of Dec. If this left boob isn't lowered I might just ask him to make the right one higher so they match. Even though my right one feels so much like a real breast. I would rather they match. AND before I even think of nips!
Man I miss my tata sisters!
This Thanksgiving will be so hard...so will Christmas. My mom in law and my brother in law's mom both passed in Jan. My mom in law went into the hospital the day after Christmas (her bday). We are staying over at my father in law's wed. I hope I can be strong for him. I've been so dang weepy lately I'm just not sure what will happen. I feel like I have no control at times.
OK I rambled and whined. Thanks for listening!
HUGS!

TRACY! I LOVE YOUR PROFILE PIC!
I MISS YOU GUYS SOOOOOOOO MUCH! I HAVE BEEN WORKING MY BUTT OFF! AS YOU ALL ARE AWARE I AM A FLIGHT ATTENDANT AND THIS HOLIDAY SEASON HAS BEEN BUSY BUSY BUSY!! IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMEBER I HAVE HAD A TOTAL OF ONLY 4 DAYS OFF IF THAT TELLS YOU ANYTHING. SO I AM WIPED OUT. AND AS I HAVE SHARED BEFORE I HAVE A 28 YR OLD BREAST CANCER SISTER IN ICU. THE CANCER HAD ALREADY SPREAD TO HER SPINE WHEN SHE WAS DIAGNOSED. NOW SHE HAS LARGE TUMORS IN HER LUNGS THAT HAVE BEEN RESISTANT TO CHEMO. SHE WAS ON A VENTILATOR DOWN HER THROAT BUT THEY HAVE SINCE PUT IT IN HER NECK AND SHE SEEMS TO BE A LIL MORE COMFORTABLE. THEY ARE EVEN GONNA MOVE HER TO A REHABILITATION/NURSING HOME SOON. A NURSING HOME AT THE AGE OF 28 TOTALLY SUCKS! SO WHEN I HEAR THESE DUMB ASSES TALKING ABOUT NOT GETTING MAMOGRAMS UNTIL 50 IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!! MANY OF US WOULD NOT BE HERE IF WE HAD WAITED TIL 50!! AND I GUESS TRACI MY 28 YEAR OLD FRIEND MEANS NOTHING TO THEM!!!!!!!
OH WELL WE ALL KNOW BETTER! I CANT WAIT TIL WE ALL MEET IN VEGAS AGAIN. WE WILL START PLANNING IN A FEW MONTHS! WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
LOVE YA LADIES!

Thank you TA TA Sister's for all the power healing prayers!!! I got to come home Friday nite. They had hoped to send me home sooner, but my temp. kept getting the best of me. 13 incision's,pretty sore & paiful-but should heal quicker since I wasn't cut open. Still bloated ARG Follow up on December 10th!!
Keeping you all close at Heart with your stories & well being!!
I'v tried to google & everything else that was suggested to read about Susan Love & Avon-I can't seem to find the link anywhere-HELP...just wanted to read/hear it-I still am at a lost as to why they would even be for this-I want to cancel my member ship for the "Army of one" with Susan Love, but will do it after I read what she said. May not be the best reading material for resting to relax from after surgery, but more empowering since I'm where I'm at due to all this Cancer crap!!! Thanx Girls for any help directing me in the right direction or sending this comutor dummie the link!!

Jazzy & Clare-I got to see Gregory during my stay at the hosptial & a quick visit here at home -send's his LOVE!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO God Bless Susie

Does it ever end? I just found out my college roommate has Stage IV rectal cancer that has spread to her liver and lungs. She has two girls, one 13 and the other 5 or 6. Though I have 2 other friends with stage IV cancer, it makes me feel a bit like a fraud. It is difficult to say to people, "you'll get through it" when in fact they might not. She is 44 just like me. 44!!!
I hate cancer, I hate cancer, I hate cancer, I hate cancer, I hate cancer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Her name is Wendy. If you are sending up prayers, would you mind adding her to your list?
Cancer SUCKS!
-
Im sorry to hear about your friend, Tracy. My mom died from the same cancer. I am right there with you, I hate cancer too.
Teresa
-
Tracey -- So sorry to hear aout your college roomate and other friends. So very sad! I am wishing them all the return of health!
I have not been on the site much. I have been so swamped. I moved last week. And, then I went to San Diego for the weekend with my daughter and grandkids, to Wild Animal Park and a day on the beach. Phoenix is landlocked, so anytime I can see the ocean, I am in so happy! Water is so rejuvenating for me.
I miss you all, and hope the holidays bring you all health and happiness!
Robin

TRACY... I am soooooooooooo sorry. This is awful! 44 is too young... why is it that cancer attacks at any age. I hate cancer too.. it hurts so many... so bad!

-
Susie, you need to visit us all on Exchange City! It's a busy thread but the support and the wealth of info is priceless!!
OK the CT scan showed that I have 2 nodules on the left lower lobe of my lung. My onc thinks it's from my cellulitis infection. He said I had one after my first cellulitis in jan and now I have another one. He doesn't think it's cancer, but wants me to see a pulmonologist. I will also have a bone density test this month as well.
Hey I don't have a pulmonologist yet..I have almost every other kind of doc so why not this one to add to my collection. Oh I feel so special. LOL
I hope you all are doing well!!!
HUGS!
-
P.S. this is a pic of me pole dancing at my last treatment. :-)
-
Jazzy-keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I am going in for my (hopefully) last surgery on Tuesday. Having one nipple done so I will have a matched set. They are using my eyelid skin so it is likely I will look like a prizefighter for Christmas, but if any of my family asks, I will just ask them if they would like to see where that skin relocated to, and hopefully that will shut them up!
Hope all are doing well.

Jazzy- Pole dancing- your awesome! Last Herceptin treatment--nice. Maybe you mentioned over at EC but do you have your CT results back yet?
Tracey and Tracy- I am so sorry for your friends I will keep you both in my prayers.Tracy- Let us know how the nip surgery goes!
Well ladies the day has finally come to ditch these expanders on Wednesday.....Isn't it just suiting that we are excepted to have a blizzard here tomorrow and Wednesday? Wish me luck and I will report in on the flip side.
Love ya ladies--
-
Hey Jazzy... I know this will come of no surprise to you..I did the same pole dance at OHSU & got a photo of it as well-You crack me of my twin sista!!!
Power prayer's to all & missing you lots. I see us doing the pink glove dance!! Next trip we have to to do somthing along that line just for us...we came close with our version of I will Survive piano dance.
I'm doing ok-major pain meds dealing with latest onset.Yo yo temp.s,red rash,vomiting-major pain. See Dr. Wednesday to follow up & check for any changes & still have to get another CT done to check out cyst on liver & gall stones-decide what to do after viewing CT if there is no change from last one. Aurora's been down about a 10 days & took her in today, coughing got worst. She's on salt water thru the nose & then Fluticasone 3 times a fay for the next 3 day's, if no changes then on to antibiotic's. Was kinda sad seeing her in a mask at the Dr.'s office while waiting to see him. I can beat anything thrown my way,but when it comes to my child, I acke cause I can't take away her pain.
Love you all & miss you so much Take care Chow XOXO Susie
