Phone call Monday, indeed!!
Saint & I were able to connect and get a bit further updated on all the doings of our two families.
Business items first:
While we spoke -- just an hour or so ago, she was at the hospital getting another transfusion. Her last one was on Thurs. They decided to postpone her Navelbine treatment, scheduled for today, until next week..... since she'd felt so very poorly with the flu/flu-like yuck of last week.
Her blood count numbers had stayed the same as they were on Thurs before that transfusion....
Of course we're hopeful that the flu aches & fevers are forever gone & that this transfusion will actually move her 'forward' in her counts & energy.
It's a five hour process, so it was nice to be able to provide some happy distraction.
We talked about 'the' wedding. (Of course there's only one in my mind) and Saint's DD had been able to share with her the first 52 pics I put up on FB. We laughed at each other & she realizes she's woefully behind and needs to see the second half.
We giggled like junior high buddies about how my DD's shoes & birdcage veil really 'made the ensemble' for such a conservative bride. LOL
Then we moved on to her college-boy, DS, and we REALLY laughed-out-loud over his overcoming his shyness in this first semester. Saint is too modest to go on FB & see what he's been up to, but from the sounds of it he's really made the adjustment.
Saint's DD, our theatre maven had an opportunity to go see a production in Milwaukee......
yada yada, then my DH called and interrupted all of our fun, and since he's flying in from cross country, I had to cut us short.
So specific prayers: for the flu to completely abate, for the current transfusion to bring her some energy and for the Navelbine to be the miracle that she's been searching for.
Big hugs to each and all who offer their support here -- thru prayers, or just popping in to let her know how much she means to all of us.

Hugs and prayers Saint. Hopefully this transfusion will be the ticket!!!! I LOVE the Monday calls. Thankyou for the update Faith.

Saint may you get the energizing blood for a change. May you grow stronger each day. Still believing in miracles.
Faith thank you for all the updates.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better, Saint. I like to check in here to make sure my dear sister is flourishing. This is such a rocking place! You sure do inspire positive vibes, it seems. I like all the beautiful pictures of lovely women. Have a good, good day!
Love, Anna

Good morning Saint!...Hope you are feeling loads better.......Continued prayers for continued strength...I tell you I just absolutely LOVE you MOB dress!!......And your and Faith's new additions are so wonderful!.....The pics of the daughters are great and your little darling looked so cute in her dress!........Congratulations to you both!.......
Faith what would we do without you and your updates for us?.....Thank you so much.....
Sharon, i don't know if anyone else can see it, but on my computer it shows [edit][delete] on the bottom of your post in blue as if it were my own post!......Very strange and scary considering if it happens to yours it could happen to anyone's.........
Kbugmom.....hope you are doing well......I will try to call you tomorrow when I get off work at 7:30 pm if that is ok with you.....
Marlegirl, so glad to see a post from you!....I seldom go to chat anymore as this stupid laptop is a dinosaur and keeps acting up onme and I HATE going to the garage and using DH's computer out there as it gets chilly out there..... -
Oh, lol Sharon..I see you did a cut and paste!...That's why your edit delete shows up!.......

Have gotten up, bathed, & dressed the last 3 days--but no juice left to DO anything following that effort---got all the way to church (lit our candle) & made dh take me home......went to doc & almost fell asleep resting my head on his desk! Got up & ready this am to meet friends for lunch, but it just isn't happening YET-----I have TOO many variables: the new chemo (which we skipped this week due to my maladies;) the flu shot; & I stopped the Limmotil I have been on since June about a week ago --so I think everything is contributing to make dx near impossible--but I DID light our candle!! LOL Can't wait to feel somewhat "normal" again SOON, but this could be worse so ain't going there!
HUGS all---be well & stay strong
-
Hi Saint, Sorry you are energyless. I'm glad you got the candle lit though. All accomplishments are a wonder. Gentle hugs.
-
Saint- your a wonder. You rest up. Right now the first priority is you. Do you hear me?????? You are allowed to sleep anywhere and do whatever it takes to get your body better. Kicking at the flu bugs flying around and sending those suckers to the trash.

My sweetie. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I feel when I log in & there's your smiling face. I know you're mostly pretending for us. I know that you're not one to let on. I know that you're not one to complain or whine.
We are here for you, sweet sister.
I know that you detest being immobilized & having your plans & calendar dashed..... hoping and praying that the flu is every minute receeding and the strength is rebuilding.

((((Saint))))
Just stay in bed and get plenty of rest.
Just make sure you keep your computer close by:)

Morning, sweet saint.
Today's one of preparation. We head to Tennessee tomorrow & the Smoky Mountains. I wonder if we will have sunshine for the drive down. It could be spectacular!
Allen is coming along to be "my people" and so I will be thinking of you -- as he attempts to contribute to my mental well being. LOL.
You know what a stellar team we make. More laughing.
Big hugs for this day.

((((Saint))))
I went for a lovely walk today in the sun. It's cool but oh so bright..............I thought of you and how happy you'd be if you had some energy. I wish we could package some and send it to you.
-
Thanx & hugs-----Just HAVE to say----I am no hero; no saint! We walk this road together & each does what she has to to get by-----if you insist on labeling me--then I say we are ALL saints (just wish I could be the patron of energetic ppl! LOL)------be well & stay strong
-
Sending you prayers and comfort, I have tests
Monday. You are Our Saint that teaches me to
stay strong. God bless You.
-
((((Saint))))
My thoughts and prayers are with you everyday!!
I pray today is a GOOD day loaded with lots of strength-----------and courage!
((((Saintsisters))))

Saint called this afternoon.
We were in the 'mountains' again -- not WV this time, but Tennesee. LOL. We kept breaking up & then we were in a mapquest conundrum, as our GPS wouldn't track out here in the outback.
Anyhow, Saint was able to relay to me that Amber had earned her angel wings.
The update that I want for all those praying along -- Saint continues to have this fever toward the end of each day. We're all still guessing that it's flu related. She's on day #9 of being layed out flat. Her med team thinks that two weeks for the flu is not the least bit atypical.
So prayers for perseverance.

My thoughts are with you, Please take care.

We haven't gotten these beautiful colors yet----so I'm posting and dreaming

Gentle hugs Saint.
