DANG MOUNTAINS!!!!! LOL
I don't have any pix of my dd & banjo-boy yet (inspite of the fact that it was MY camera she took!) I will post some when I get them.
As for the transfusions-I had an idea last week to get the trans BEFORE I felt like lint off the laundry room floor----they agreed. So instead of being 7.something I was 9.9....now 5 days later I was 9.5--so maybe I had a good idea---will wait out the week to see if it proves itself (BTW--for those who don't know normal RBC is 14-15. So I am only "high" for ME!~ LOL)
Getting a new roof put on so I have all those pangs of a high ticket item (in this economy I HATE like poison taking my savings down by so many $) & it's none to quiet around here! LOL
HUGS to all----be well & stay strong--Heymouse---how was vegas????
-
Saint---so happy you're on a "high".
Sounds like you'd be a good oncologist! I bet you know as much, or more than most!
Hopefully, you will sleep well tonight without hearing the hammer in your head

-
Saint praying you stay on top of this for a change. Pray the new tx does its thing . Hugs and love to you....
-
Thanx all---awake at 4 am--must be the steroids, but slept well for about 5 hours & there is always a nap on the horizon (how decadent-how luxurious!) I have to take dd to an 8 am dr app't anyway---so at least I don't have to fear oversleeping!!!! LOL
Having some heartburn & indigestion, but other than that --so far so good! I may be here a lot more if I'm getting steroids every week again........more later, no doubt!
HUGS--be well & stay strong

Saint, I know that you intended to get the homecoming picture up here so everyone could see your darling daughter. I just snatched this one from her FB page.
Here's Saint's darling (who truly is darling in actual, real life.)
And sainted-sisters, here's a picture of my darling's wedding.
It was a pretty phenominal weekend for the faith&saint families.
Much love to you, sweetie, as you adjust to a whole new set of ramifications. Praying, praying, praying that this is the miracle with your name on it.
Squeeze our Greeeeecian godddddessssssss for me. She looked stunning (as usual.)

Good morning Saint. Sending hugs and prayers to you today from the hot and humid south. Hope your weather is better than ours.
I typed in "beautiful fall day" and this popped up. Maybe it's like this in your neck of the woods.

-
How did you sleep last night? I was awake for you, praying, beginning @ 3:30 a.m.
Crazy what happens to our sleep.
Saint, know that I am sending you strength and encouragement at all times.
You got anything new on your Kindle?? The weather today is BLUSTERY!! Crazy wind and rain.
I feel that we had a "charmed" weekend for the wedding, the weather was glorious..... so if it needs to be blustery now, I say 'go for it!'
xx00xx00xx00xx
I got 134 pictures of the weekend up in an album over on Facebook, if you need a distraction. LOL
-
Saint, your daughter is beautiful and I hope she enjoyed her night.
Faith, your daughter and her husband look fantastic. I hope the wedding was fun.
Saint, you have wondered how Vegas was, well first it was Los Wages. Not really. The trip was fantastic. I met some of the most wonderful women ever. They all have different stories and difficult times ahead and behind. They never stop smiling and looking on the bright side. We enjoyed each other and look forward to next year. We made great friends and will continue to keep in contact. The trip was a truley amazing experience. I am so glad I made the trip.
My mom and I went to see Menopause the musical while in Vegas. I never laughed so hard and so long in my life. Going through everything they were singing about made it all the more laughable. On another note, I came home w/ $400.00, the most I won. It was on the last night, that is why it made it home w/ me.
I wish you all a peaceful nights sleep and a sunny tommorrow. (((((HUGS))))))

Hey sweet-saint.............
My dearie just brought up THE coolest postcard, from your/our GinaZ. She was thanking us for the wonderful (crazy) fun time we had up in Door Co -- when she brought the boys & they slept on the floor.
The card is awesome..... it's an actual fabric quilt in postcard size. I LOVE it! Reading her thanks brought back all of that seriously wacky fun we had. I'm picturing all four of the kids in the back of the pickup truck. Thank goodness we never passed our trusty law enforcement folks.
Sending you love.
Cheryl, how terrific that you were able to meet up with our 'sisterhood'..... where are the pictures of the gathering?? Add some here. That would be awesome.

Saint dear sister how are you doing today? I look forward to seeing your posts. Praying the chemo is doing its job and you are handling it well. God bless and huggsssss.
-
I just got off the phone with Saint. I called her so she could be my wise-older sister & calm me down. She did a great job at all of it..... as I knew she would.
My DD & SIL have just rushed my oldest, local grandson, 3 year old WB to our Children's Hospital at the urging of the doc @ Urgent Care.
WB is in extreme abdominal pain. Doc thought anything from viral to appendix.
Anyhow, prayers for that story would be greatly appreciated.
Back to the news on Saint.
She's had a rough week. She got her flu shot last week & no one knows if she has actually contracted a case of flu, is having reactions to the shot, or is having s.e. from Navelbine.
But here's the kicker. She just got a call this week from their office, that somehow on this green earth she was given an injection of an "expired" dose. In fact a total of 3 people received injections from the expired batch????!!?!?!?!?!!!!???
She taking that all in stride. I'm a much less patient patient & would be having a hissy fit. She pointed out that having a hissy fit really doesn't change anything.
That was strike one for her week.
Strike two is that while doing blood work up for the transfusion that she is having as I type, the person-in-training wrote her name incorrectly on the blood vial & Saint had to return to have it drawn again. (I've lost the time line, but that could have been yesterday?)
Strike three is that they'd just brought her the grilled cheese sandwich that she'd ordered with her tomato soup -- thinking they couldn't possibly botch that up, but they had. Her grilled cheese was unpleasant.
She was probably as disappointed in the sandwhich as strikes one & two. (Hence the need to call her Saint, even tho that is part of her actual name. LOL)
Ok now I'm just typing to distract myself.
I'm over here with the twinsies and arrived in time to give them lunch. I was able to get our toddler boy, laughing clown into a giggle fest. So Saint laughed at him and I laughed at her laughing at him..... so there has been some laughing today.
Prayers all around.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Saint, sorry the week hasn't been so good. Nice of Faith to call you her 'older' sister
Gentle hugs.......and continued prayers. Darn that grilled cheese sandwich!!!!!!!!!! -
WB is headed home!!!!!!!!
Constipation & potty training the culprit.
Saint assured me I could handle the unknowns. She was right.
In large part because I knew I had all of you to back me up.
(geeeeesh, I just back me up -- WB's official dx. LOL)
-
Faith so glad he is okay. Thank you Lord for taking care of us all.
-
Amen Bug
-
((((Saint)))) You think your patience is being tried? Did you pass the test? It sure sounds like you did. As Faith mentioned, I don't think I could have handled the situations as well as you.
See---you really ARE a Saint:)
Faithie----so so glad WB is ok. Poor thing. It happens when we're young, and then it starts happening again as we get older.....I guess that's one of those "going back to your childhood" moments.
-
Coonie..... my mom, WB's GREAT-grandmother, figured this out before the experts @ Children's Hospital & all of their technology & x-ray machines etc. She & Sarah have been in continual communication over all things WB and my mommy 'knew' that's what it was gonna be.
We're giving her a medical degree.
Saint. I sure hope that yesterday's transfusion brings some strength back.
I forgot to report that our saint has been feverish all week & generally feeling the worse ever.
We must send more, stronger, better prayers.
Sweetie, I'll ask our dearest angels to gather round you, today & thru the weekend.
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Gentle hugs dear Saint. I am so sorry to hear this latest news from Faith. On this our (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend I will give thanks and pray for you.
-
SAINT You keep up the fight... Remember we do not bow to bc. You are a awesome lady. I am sorry you are feeling not so good. I pray the transfusion will work. HUGGSSSS and God bless...
-
((((Saint)))) Sending hugs and prayers to you today. You need a break TODAY!! I think maybe McDonalds used that theme once in commercials. You should send DH there to get you a hot apple pie with a dab of ice cream on top.
-
Hey all! Happy thanksgiving to our northern gals!
Yeah for WB!
Yeah for heymoose's trip--and THANK YOU SISTA!
Coonie--that pic looks just like the campus at our local college!!!
I have stayed home in bed today in the hopes of getting rid of some of this silly flu-like stuff! I look pretty funny with my hair standing on end & a lovely pink shawl wrapped around my shoulders--but I do feel better & haven't had any fever today!
A lady from church (not knowing I was sick-just out of kindness) brought us a huge bowl of turkey chowder----shazam! it is too good!!!!!! So dh has an easy dinner to make tonight!
Here is an inspiration-one of my oldest chat friends called last night & it has been 7 years since her dx of stage 3!!! WHOOOHOOO for such good news! keep on keeping on Goldie!
You all are the wind beneath my wings (thought of accussing you of being the wind under my nightgown....!)
Be well & stay strong!! HUGS
-
Sharon--you think anyone else noticed??? she did refer to me as her OLDER sister more than once!!!!!! LOL & hugs
-
Saint you are such a blessing for me. What a kick butt lady you are. It was wonderful that dear lady brought food. Glad it tasted good and you were up to eating. Thank God the fever is gone. I know you looked lovely wrapped in pink shawl. I know it was great to hear from that lady. Love and hugsssssss ...
-
Sheesh! I am gone only a couple of days (well ok more than a couple!. :0!) and all you know what breaks loose!>.....
Saint continued prayers for continued strength!....Wrapping you in my arms through cyber space....You know, I have had that icky flu feeling for a few days myself.....Must be something going around......Praying it isn't the (Navelbine??). or what is it called agfain?.....Too tired to think straight tonight.....Also what a beautiful daughter you have!......Just goes to show the nut doesn't fall far from the tree!......She looks so much like you!.
Same for you Faith!.....What a wonderful time you all had.......Wish I could have been a fly on the wall to enjoy THAT wedding!.......So much FUN!....... -
saint, I will call you this weekend ... enough time has passed, this is ridiculous!!!!
faith, i know hundreds posted about the wedding, including me, but man ... those pics were so awesome
it's so wonderful to "talk" to both of you in here, as abstract as it may sometimes seem. at least we're staying in touch, even if it's through cyberspace

love and hugs to you all
-
God bless you and be with you. You are a very special
person and I am so proud to know you. I will be praying for you
God bless, Footprintsangel
-
Well for Pete's sake. The last time I checked, you are INDEED older than I am??
Am I incorrect in my swiss cheese memory.
I never did have an older sister...... this is totally in admiration that I use such a term. It is a complete term of endearment. Absolute love & respect, as well.
Honor thy elders, and all that.
I slept for 8 hours straight last night (thank you pharmecy) and think I may go door-to-door and offer to repair roofs or dust chimney tops. Sleep. It's a good thing.
Just popping in here to say good morning.
You could always pretend that I gave your dear church lady the recipee. hahahahahaha.
Big weekend hugs. Take good care of yourself.
Allen is safely in Denver. I have some 'space' to unwind from this week's whirl of wonder.
Your DH accepted my FB friendship...... LOL. I'm just trolling for another blog follower. HA!
Sending prayers & kick-butt angels to supervise the details. No more nonsense of ineptness, ya hear?? This is our saint, we're talkin' about here.
xx00xx00xx00xx
edited. oh geesh we're at the top of a new page & I can't be held responsible for sending if forth all naked. better view of my MOB dress:
Marlegal: It is indeed FANTASTIC to have you here!! It's kinda-sorta like the ol' chat days.
This is the groom's mommy-named-Debbie who is nearly a 20 year BC survivor, from way back in the day. She had a bone marrow transplant and a gazillion other cutting-edge treatments & she is truly another one of my "sheros." She is such a lovely, lovely person. She called & kept me company the afternoon that WB was in the hospital. She knew I'd be likely to get a bit loopy. She offered to fly out if we needed her. Such a genuine person. Noelle's a lucky girl to have her for a MIL..... fortunate beyond anything she will ever fathom.
-
Faith I love the pic. What a great mom in law your dear daughter has. The picture goes to show what cancer can't do to us.
Saint happy Saturday. Hope you are getting rested and get to have some fun this weekend.
