Prayers, Blessings & Wishes for Saint

Saint would be in dog-heaven to host everyone & their canine fur buddies.
I'm the only one without the fur-buddy love gene.
I got the allergic gene instead.
Sending you gobs of joy for this day my friends.
After the "haircut-dust-up of '09" we seem to be on an even keel -- as we get closer to the festivities. Just think, this time next week I'll be in the car headed east!!!!!!

Good morning Saint! Hope your Friday is Fantabulous!......I don't think my words are in a dictionary, but they should be......hehe LOL. Only my sistahs know my language.
I hope today brings you strength, courage and much peace and happiness.

Saint you better be getting the super duper blood. Oh you will start as watson says navy bean soon. Thats what she always calls it.
Lord bless our dear Saint pour out such a blessing on her. Amen

copied from the other thread:
I didn't mean to be so abrupt last night, but was attempting to get you updated in the drive to the movie theatre, before FAME started.
Saint is getting her head wrapped around the switch to Navelbine. Her doc has told her what you were able to find from your research, Elizabeth. There's every possibility that she might keep her hair. He also said that the other s.e. reported seem to be very managable.
So she's feeling brighter about the prospect of N.
They can't switch her to that protocol for two weeks.
So these next couple of weeks she'll be operating on prayer-power.
By the time the movie was over and I called back, she was already home and peeling carrots for dinner. I spoke to her beautiful daughter, so as not to interrupt. Her DD was getting ready to walk out the door to go see FAME! LOL.
Of course the whole family is grateful to all for your love & care & all the dinging.

Sending LOTS of prayer power to you Saint. I pray the meds work with NO nasty SE's!!!!
This is one of my favorite pictures------I sure hope it makes you smile. Oh,.....but uh oh...it might make you nauseated. Anyway, just think of the pig brushing his teeth this morning and rinsing with listerine:) That'll help hehe

Hey all----feeling a bit better after the blood last nite--did I say what a fantastic team of nurses we have in the Spec Care Outpatient? they treat me like I am their favorite!!! (tho I know they treat everyone like that===they are that great!) I am attempting to move the first N tx up to next week--we'll see..........
I came home last nite & dh & dd helped me make a veggie tray for a good friend who is having a fund raiser at her house tonite---long story, but I felt she could use a hand.....on my way over to do the flowers for her dinner---then home to spend a quiet nite with family.
THANK YOU all for your continued support & prayers..BTW-Alphie & Willow just had baths so they are ready for the fur-party---it's a big bed, but only non-stinky dogs allowed (which means Wills in only allowed up every other week-poor girl!) LOL
HUGS--be well & stay strong
-
Saint, I continue to think of you and try to send you good vibes and of course, gentle hugs from my heart.
-
Hugs & thanx sharon, I feel them! &--I love Wally!
Amending tonight's plans.....off to see Ruthless at our Civic Theatre with dd & banjo boy (he comes home often! LOL)
You all have a great weekend--be well & stay strong
-
Hey girlfriend. Fingers crossed the boost from this transf will last the longest ever, right up to the new meds. Yes, I am going to Fla in November - Fri morning to Tues morning, all booked. I look forward to continuing our laughs in the sunny south
Love and hugs -
Big hugs to all of you: DD, banjo boy -- your sweet dearie.
And your whole Noah's Ark of critters.
We're down to the one week countdown for the wedding memories to unfold.
What will the weather be like??

Morning, friend.
How are ya feeling? Did they follow our instructions & give you the blood from the marathon runner this time? Sure hope so.
Are you going to get to sing with the choir today?
Any parties on your plate today..... goodness girlfriend -- you are always on the go. I know that's the way ya like it. Uh-hu, Uh-hu.
We have now officially had an entire week of rain here. Enough already.
I was praying for you even before my eyes fluttered open this morning. Will continue with round the clock coverage.

Gosh I miss you.
-
Don't forget tomorrow's phone call. I love the Monday chats.
-
Maybe you need the blood of a 100 plus year old granny who is known for feisty. Now that is awesome kick butt blood. I knew a lady who lived just shy of 102 and she taught more than about anyone I know. Hey Saint give me a call when you feel up to it.
-
Thinking and praying for you today Saint. Sure hope that was some good blood you got Friday night. Have a great week! Hugs and prayers to you and yours!!!
-
It's Monday!!!!
THIS is the week.
Oh happy day.
Sure hope that we can connect.
I suppose it's too early to call right now???
Silly time zones.
Prayers surrounding you for strength as we await this next treatment -- that it might be your miracle in waiting.

Phone call report:
We got connected on the first try!
Always good to get caught up & many stories unfurling with details to attend to.
Saint has now scheduled her Navelbine treatment to begin in a week. As of now she will start it a week from today. They want to get 8 treatments in and expect that may take 10 weeks or so with scans to follow at that point.
They have for-warned her that it's likely to take some time for the N to start taking hold.... for her not to expect an over-night success story, but she is very eager now to get underway & hopeful that this treatment will be the answer.
Her Fri transfusion gave her some lift, but not a huge one. She is expecting to need to go back for even more frequent transfusions, perhaps more than once a week -- until the N has a chance to interact.
She was able to sing with the choir yesterday & that's always uplifting.
Our conversation went back & forth from church topics to holiday presents to antics of our kids to the wedding at hand, to weather, to making plans, to silent auctions, to fund-raisers for country clubs, to our kids growing up years..... as always, across the whole ballpark.
Heaping prayers from the community are welcome for this transition to the new treatment & it's effectiveness for the situation at hand.

HI Saint,
Just returned from Las Vegas with the other TA TA's on the exchange site. It was an AMAZING trip. Meeting 21 BC Sista's at once was just amazing and uplifting. I hope your new course of treatment goes wll and is the answers to our prayers about your recovery. Okay, I need to go to bed. I can not type or keep my eyes open. Many ((((((HUGS))))) sent your way.

Good morning Saint. I kinda figured you wouldn't be at the beach today, so I wanted to post your namesake here for you to see. And....just in case you take a little nap, I'm posting a picture of my baby who absolutely LOVES naps, gets in to them REALLY seriously. All you gotta do is rub his chest and under his neck a little if he starts waking up, and that'll put him right back out:) Hoping and praying you have a blessed day!
Now.....here's my little Opie Taylor.....
