    Oh sweet sister-saint.

    I finally remembered to get to the wedding boutique place, two blocks from my house & pick up the bride's veil...... the special order "bird-cage" contraption.

    It's gorgous. Like fairy-tale gorgous. Like pinch me gorgous.

    I don't know what on earth possessed me to think that I could duplicate such a delicate work of art. I am soooooooooooooo glad that I had enough sense & time to get "the real thing."

    did I mention, it's gorgous!!

    OHhhhhhhhhhhh and you'll believe this of me, tho some will raise an eyebrow and wonder if I'm exaggerating. I went to all sorts of nice, upscale shops looking for a dress to wear on Sat for the shower/luncheon. I went to our ooo-la-la mall. I went to Filene's Basement. I've been all over the place.

    Today I happened to think of our JC Penney Outlet Store. Less than 10 minutes from my house -- serves the entire midwest -- it's gi-normous!!

    I got 3 dresses!! Yes, THREE dresses, two pair of pants and two pair of shoes..... are you ready for this? For a grand-total of $71 and some change.

    I'd forgotten how much fun the place is! Hadn't been there in years. The DH has attempted to convince me that I no longer need to shop in thrift stores et.al. hahahahahahaha.

    So now I have to choose between dress #1 and dress selection #2. Either would be mah-ve-lous. Twill see what the weather dictates. The other one is a sundress & I'll save it for Florida. LOL.

    Since it was terrific Tuesday, she took an extra 10% off the total.

    Hope that you're heating up your Kindle and have something that's engaging & uplifting to keep you company.

    Not sure if I should tell you -- but it looks like I really am coming to Chicago @ the end of Oct. She's just figuring out the details etc etc. in today's series of emails.

    Don't tell the star-of-the-show, but I think I can make it work to come see her on stage! Remind me which weekend(s) it is...... I so have my fingers crossed for this.

    You know what my dad would say?

    "God willing & the creek don't rise."

    (It worked before..... let's see if it can work again.)

    edited cuz I can't always type fast enough -- especially when I'm excited & planning a trip to Beloit WI. Home of cheese curds, chemistry teachers, banjo-boys, actresses, birdie-sinking golfers and the best big sis one could ever imagine or adopt.

    Love reading everyone here!

    I just had a long chat with F&F. Heidi-Ho's passing was the reason. She made a huge impact on our little world & we talked about the blessing her rapid demise actually was...for HER, if no one else. It is hard for some to see that as a miracle, but it is one many of us pray for......Heidi was a blessing to us & will be so missed! May the angels lead her into paradise.

    I am scheduled for another transfusion tomorrow AM. It is Homecoming for both DD & DH! I hope this sets me up with the energy I'll need for a busy weekend. Seems dd has gone to the last 3 dances dressed in a "theme"---first was Chinese (when I bought her an authentic "wiggle Dress" on ebay) prom was Spanish & now it will be Greek goddess.......I will have to post pix of my girl next week when F&F should be posting pix of her dd's wedding! Stay tuned fans of girliness dress-up!! LOL

    So nice to see you post.  I hope the tx will boost your energy and make you feel better.  I am sorry to hear about Heidi-Ho's passing.  I will pray for her and her family.

    Saint, your perspective is so critical to my growth -- personally & spiritually.

    This is a big weekend for our little girls.

    I literally can't seem to sit still -- so we're going to attempt to leave this afternoon.

    Just a few little details to attend to. LOL.

    I'll be multi-tasking this a.m.

    Packing & praying. Laundry & praying. Making lists & praying.

    Sure hope the transfusion gives you bounce for this weekend & gets those numbers up there.

    faith, I used to work at a Penny's Outlet here in Atlanta...I absolutely LOVED that place!......They would open the store extra early for employees only when we got a primo shipment of shoes or clothes in so we had first dibs!........

    We got to get the conversation started -- before we lost the connection (West VA)



    Saint was just getting home from her first Navelbine infusion... Plus the steroids.



    Her blood count is happily high & she has a new theory about managing the timing of the transfusions: get a transfusion PRIOR to feeling so 'low'.... I'll let her explain.



    Then we got started about the wedding/homecoming hoopla, when I started cutting in and out.



    Saint. I'll put a couple pictures here when I gdt tethered @ home.
