Faithy you are such a special soul!......What a blessing to be able to work with "challenged" children!....I have a couple of nieces and nephews who are handicapped in one form or another and they are such a joy to be around......They don't let anything get them down......Faith have fun at Children's!!........

Nancy, I used to love playing the tambourine in church.....Can't play now cause (1) I don't go to church anymore...Lost faith in organized religion some time ago, but I haven't lost my faith and (2) Hurts my hands too much.......

Good morning bunnies!!! Hope you all had a wondermous weekend!

Today is my DD 22nd birthday!!!!!!!! I'm baking her a cake as I type. Her dad and I bought her the most beautiful pearl ring for this special day.

CONFESSION:  I STILL have to "sing" the ABC's when I'm trying to put something in alphabetical order. So I strongly believe in music, rhythm, rhymes, etc....

Nancy----could you make a trip south and watch my comforter, etc......I could sure use you today:)

Thinking of all my sisters today---(((Sharon))) you make it through the weekend ok? I've been sending you lots of good vibes, thoughts, prayers, hugs.....

(((Arnie))) hope you're feeling ok too.

(((MaryRose))) Counting down the days now girl, soon it will just be hours!!!

(((Cheryl))) How's the leg doing? You taking care of it?

(((Lucy))) Try not to work too hard just 'cause you're feeling better.

(((Linda)))Don't let those boys run you nuts this year. Maybe you should be cloned so you can do soccer, stay home, etc.....

(((Footie))) Always thinking of you and praying you're feeling better.

(((Jane))) You might should get that sleeping thingamajigi seen about:)

((((Jayne)))) Hope those SE's lighten up soon. How many more treatments?

((((Shiny)))) Cannot WAIT to get the pics of the wee ones!!!!!! The anticipation is killing me!!

((((PatMom))) Hugs to you today in whatever you're going through this week.

((((Julz)))) Sure hope you're not working too hard this week! You need a "Julz" break :)

((((Mum)))) We want pictures!!!!! How was your vacation. Thinking about you today with your surgery!!!!! Sendings LOTS AND LOTS of hugs your way!!

((((Dream)))) Missing you here. Sure hope you're not doing any housework.

((((Saint)))) I sure hope you're NOT cleaning house, but I was thinking of you too!! Hope you're hanging in there and got some superman blood this time.

(((EWB))) So glad you had a good trip with your mom. It's nice to straighten your house and it stay that way, huh.......or eh? as my sweet Canadian friend would say:)

(((KAK))) Girl, sure hope you're enjoying your vacation. At least with the fatigue, you shouldn't have anything "pushing" at you to get done. How's Fiona getting along. Maybe you could teach her to fetch, clean, cook......

((((Kathleen)))My sweet animal-loving friend. Hope you're healing up better and better each week.

((((Barbe)))) I pray you get every single commision this week. Don't let the "jerks" have their way!

I'm missing (2new1's, Mom, OhioDeb, Dejaboo, bkc, Lursa, JGrim, Vivvygirl and anybody else I haven't seen in awhile)

((((Faithie)))) I know this is a BIG BIG BIG week for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you continually. Praying the stress doesn't get too bad, and everyone can be happy, joyous and can keep the LOVE alive and going strong.

Coonie- you are not alone on the ABC thing...I am told it is because I MEMORIZED and did not LEARN the alphabet. huh? I am in big trouble if I ever get pulled over for irratic driving, I have to sing the alphabet and don't know it backwards, song or not. Surprised Is your dd the youngest or oldest or only? My ds is recently 21, and dd is 18...so odd (but really neat) to have children mostly grownup. I guess we all did a good job.

    Hugs to all.

EWB--My DD is ONLY!! Some people say that only children are spoiled...........I guess ours is spoiled, but she's a sweet spoiled. She's honest, hard-working and well respected by her peers and professors. I think she'll make a great teacher some day. It DOES feel odd to have ADULT children, doesn't it? LOL

    Hi Ladies,

Just popping in to say hi. It has been awhile but with kids in school and running back and forth for all thier activities home work etc, (what 5 year old is supposed to have homework every day?) I am pooped most days. No house work going on here. Never stay still long enough. My idea of ironing the last few weeks has been to throw it in the dryer with a damp wash cloth and get most of the wrinkles out. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwichs and a salad for dinner twice last week.

Hope everyone is doing well. Baths and bedtimes call.

    Good morning!

BKC - homework at 5!  That's also my preferred method of handling ironing.

Jane - I used to buy only garments that could be washed.  As I have aged I think what a wonderful invention dry cleaning is.

Coonie - if she is anything like her Mother - she be a great everything!

    Hugs to all you bunnies!

Coonie, good idea about Fiona, but so far all I can get her to do is lay on my lap and put her chin on the keyboard while I try to type messages to you all!  I could use some cake myself...good fatigue treatment, I think, don't you??

Faithie, have a fabulous time this week.  I know it will all go beautifully and I can't wait to see pix.

Hugs to everyone who's having treatment and life troubles.

The provigil is not working anymore, but the doctor who's in charge of the fatigue study I'm doing says I'm probably not on enough.  The other doctor doing the study, the one who did my intake visit, works with this and other issues for cancer supportive care services at their cancer center, and they said that after the study, they can take me on as a regular patient and see what they can do for the fatigue.  Which is great, because I haven't been able to find anyone here in RI who really has much experience with this.  My surgeon doesn't really know what to do for me, even though she was at least willing to write the prescription.  So, I'm happy about that.  These docs are familiar with all the options for treating it, so they'll know what to do.  They are psychiatrists by training, so they are familiar with all the meds for mood, sleep disorders, fatigue, etc.   They might be able to help Jane, too.  Normally, I'm not fond of psychiatrists, but these two guys are pretty compassionate and very nice.

And by the way, if you know anyone who can drive to Connecticut, they're still looking for a few more subjects for this phase of the study.  Breast cancer or prostate cancer patients suffering from fatigue is who they need.

I promise I won't do much housework -- just a little.  I have to find my sweaters because it's actually cold here today!!

Arnie! Fantastic news! brilliant! Glad they were able to tell you right away! BTW, I don't know how you do it and where you find them, boyyyy those sayings and quotes you post are just brilliant! Do you just put a search on google for ? humour or something, you always have the best quotes!

Coonie, I have just PM'd you. Sorry I missed your darling daughter'd birthday, she is blessed everyday for having you as a mom, that is such a treasure to her always, lucky girl.

Faith.. My DS said "Red White and Blue dvd??" RED White and Blue on Queezletown??.. I read you have another book coming out, any more dvds coming, that reminds me, must get the other cds. Enjoy your week, and like I think Kak said, relax, you must do so much that you become too exausted to really take it all in! I hope it is the most brilliant week for you all.

Kak, I am off to my 4th session of Accupuncture for ongoing post chemo fatigue study tomorrow. I can sure relate to your fatigue issues. hugggggggggggggggggggggggggggggsssssssssss

Been baking strawberry muffins. banana/apple muffins, letting the kids decorate icing on them today on playdate. I find simple baking very theraputic, I don't always eat the stuff, I just bring it to school for the teachers/helpers or let my DH,DS,and DD at them, it's the baking and the scents from the kitchen that feel so nice.

xx huggs and peachyeswt vibes coming over to all in need. thinking of you all mes cheres.

ps: I do NOT want to start a list, as i will miss someone, somehow!

Oh dear god, I am so incrediable grateful for all I have - my family, friendships and suports; I don't know how I would have survived the past 2 1/2 yrs without you ladies. Thank you does not seem enough but I don't know what else to say.  Too much saddness lately, too many lives and families ripped apart by this disease. I would give my life if an answer could be found.

(((((((((Elaine)))))))))   I feel the same way about all of you ladies here and my good friends & work colleagues.  I really and truly think I would have lost my ever-loving mind without all of you on this forum.

Coonie, love, you find the BEST happy dances!!   BTW, Faithie's blog is RainbowsWithinReach

Shiny, I've been meaning to ask you if you are noticing a difference with the accupuncture yet.  I'd love to hear details, if you'd care to share them.  BTW, baking is good, and eating what you bake is even better!

Arnie, brilliant news.  I have to reschedule the colonoscopy I had to postpone a year ago because you-know-what kinda distracted me.

Jayne, thanks for the encouragement!  I did have a lovely day today, perfect autumn weather, a walk with my dog in the sun by the river, and home to onion soup!

Linda, I AM feeling better.  And if you haven't read it elsewhere, and I forgot to write it here, I'll admit it now that part of the reason is that I stopped taking the bloody tamoxifen and the miserable Effexor in the past week.  I've been the "good girl" for over a year and I'm done.  Now, I'm going to listen to myself and try to actually FEEL better.  My bc was early, for god's sake, EARLY!!  And I'm grateful for that.  So, really, really, I do not need to keep feeling like a box of bricks.  The marginal benefit of tamoxifen in reducing my recurrence risk is just not worth it anymore.

Have barely been keeping up with reading here.

Yesterday was such a heartbreak of a day, with Heidi's passing. What an amazing woman.

I literally can't sit still. We are going to attempt to depart TODAY if I can get my act together.

I totally UNPACKED my car yesterday (monumental) and then totally ran out of steam. I need to take it this am for an oil change..... I have gotten the Houston people their proposal an hour ago, but still owe OH there's before we leave.

Please take good care of one another while I turn into my best MOB (mother-of-the-bride) personna.

****I'm not sure if I've mentioned it publically here before, but anyone who orders from my website is to use the 'promo code' SURVIVOR and that automatically gives you a 50% discount. If you ever want anything signed, then send an email/PM to me ahead of time. What with Shiny acting as my agent I want you to be certain to take advantage of the "deal."

Shiny, your sharing of DS's response to my video was such a bright spot for my heart last night. I was just sitting here all evening like a leaky faucet, crying sporadically thru the evening & then his response brought such a sense of calm to me. My little efforts have gone forth & brought smiles.

That's a good thing. I'm so glad that he's found pleasure in my work.

We hold one another up. Thru thick & thin.

    Can't wait to see everyone.

    Must go complete other proposal!!

    xx00xx00xx00xx
