-
Arnie- You are such a sweetie! I'm around. Just mostly reading and not posting much. These last couple of Taxol really have me wiped out. I'll be done soon. Your free hat tree is absolutely adorable!! Bet your nurses love you!!
-
Barbe... why two o'clock in the morning???? I got up at the crack of 9 a.m. lol
Linda...he is a keeper
Veal cutlets, noodles ... yum!!! Man...you sound busy sweetie!!!
Hey Texas... so good to see you!!! I know how those treatments can wear you out...how many more??? Can't wait to celebrate the end with you!!! The hat tree was fun to make and they did really appreciate it... it felt good to do that for them cause they've been super through all of this
Just check in once in awhile so we don't worry about ya
Hope all you other dustbunnies are having a great day... The dh and I have been out doing yard work and I just came in for some chili and thought I'd check in.

Uh Oh!! I did housework today. The most I've done in a year. I washed woodwork and windows and cleaned the dining room and top of the microwave. I wanted to sand and re-paint the windows but my husband said sandy would be too messy. He said to just wash them really well and then paint them. But, now that I've seen the condition they're in...I can't paint over that..the other paint is chipping and some of the sills are cracking. My MIL said not to worry about it because nobody sees that behind the curtains, so I'm with her. If it's good enough for my MIL, it's good enough for me.
DH and I went to the dump today and then went and got apples. I love fresh apples this time of year, so I'll probably make some pies one day this week.
-
Hey Arnie- Three more. I go on Tuesdays for weekly Taxol, so October 6th is the golden day!! I can't wait!
-
YEAH!!!! Texas...marked it on my calendar..we'll have a online party for you!!! It'll be a wonderful day on October 6thh!
Jane_M... boy girlfriend...you did alot today!!! I did too, hehehe I helped clean up the yard, getting it ready for the weather soon to come... I made a new birdfeeder too that I'm sure my little feathery friends are gonna like during the winter because it'll shield them and their bird seed from the snow. I love apples too!!!! Warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream.........Yummmmmmmm
I'm a thinkin' since Barbe was up so early she's probably in bed by now...
This thread is quiet...so hopefully that means all you dustbunnies are enjoying your weekend!!!

I'M STILL HERE. AND STILL AWAKE! I woke up at 2 am and thought of something for work so I emailed myself there. Not the first time, but it kept me thinking. I was in a crappy mood all day. One of my customers couldn't remember who her appointment was with so someone else took her and sold her $5,500! That's $220 out of MY pocket! Crap!
Then on the way home the highway was closed off. All 3 lanes. This is a MAJOR artery...the Highway 400. I was able to reverse down the shoulder and exit through a ditch and up the other side to a service lane. I had followed a bunch of cars, but was horrified to see about 8 people pulled to the side of the road looking at their tires. Then when I turned onto the main road I saw another 8-10 cars pulled over! I phone DH and he met me in the driveway when I got home. As soon as I got out of the car I could hear the hissing.
As he was changing the tire, I felt my necklace loosen and it broke apart with large beads bouncing all over the driveway.
I had a crappy day....sigh.
-
AWwwwWwwwwww Barbe.... So sorry. What's that ol' saw about some days ya fly like the bird and some days you're the statue.
Hopefully ya got all your 'statue' experiences in that singularly frustrating day. Hereks to better 'flying' ahead. -
(statue....sigh)

For sale or loan to a good home;
One very elegant, somewhat consevative, two piece perriwinkle blue MOB ensemble.
Thanks to all for your support of my choice from another lifetime ago. It would have been 'just fine.'
Yesterday DD1 & I went shopping for her for la grande weekend hovering ahead.
Long story short.... There is a new Plan B for me.
She insisted that I not look like a matron and instead look like (direct quote) "a smokin' hot mama."
I am now the owner of a knee length, very 'fitted' metallic pewter, V neck. It's about 180 degrees from the dress that would be appropriate for a gala @ the White House....
It's really gonna make me smile. I absolutely LOVE it & think it will be spot on perfect for the setting & time of day.
We went late last night & got a new classic black suit for DH, cuz the new sport coat concept just wasn't gonna work with me being both metallic & smokin'. LOL will return his Plan A purchase as the week wears on.
Stay tuned....... This is wild. -
Barbe - how many hours of sleep do you actually get - 3 or 4? Crap about covers your loss of sale. Sorry.
Faith - I bet you will be a smokin' hot mama. The dress sounds stunning - post pictures.
Texas - that is wonderful news - we will have to have an on-line party for you! Yea!
Jane - you are too ambitious for me. And you cannot paint over peeling paint and cracked wood.
Arnie - love your sign about housework - I used to have one that read "housework make you ugly"
-
Good morning dustbunnies! Hope everyone has a blessed day
Where is Coonie and Sharon???? I come back and they leave...
Barbe...((((((((((((hugs sweetie)))))))))))))
Faith... you guys are having soooooooo much fun with this...that's the way it should be...
Kathleen... how ya doin' sweetie? Yeppers...we'll have an online party for Texas... I've got it on my calendar sooooo I'll remind ya!
I made a bird feeder yesterday for the winter months for my feathery friends.... It's right across from our enclosed porch soooo it'll be fun to watch them this winter. We were getting a kick out of watching them check it out this a.m. They're not quite sure whether to trust it or not yet...lol
Hoping all you dustbunnies have a great Sunday!!! (((((((((hugs to all)))))))))
-
Shhhhhh...I hope Barbe is getting some sleep!!
Faith- You will be one hot smokin' momma!! I am so excited for you and your family!!!
Kathleen and Arnie- Thanks for the encouragement. It's so close now, I can taste it. Seventeen days...not that I'm counting or anything!!!
The sun is finally shining here today after a dreary, drab week. I feel so much better and I'm getting outside today although I also need to throw in some laundry. I got nothing done this week. If I don't do anything today but sit on the porch and enjoy the sunshine while the laundry goes, I'll be happy.
Hope everybody has a fantastic Sunday!!

We got DD delivered to her dorm room finally! It is in a beautiful new "green" building, but all the areas that were originally supposed to be tiled were left as raw concrete, not even a coat of paint on them and no paint on the ceiling of her room. The result bears a striking resemblance to a jail cell. As a person with allergies, I hate to think about how much dust will collect in all those little holes in the concrete over the years.
I am a little afraid to peek into the room she left behind. It wasn't too bad before she started packing, but in the middle of packing it looked like it was hit by a hurricane. I'm afraid I may have to do some housework up there this week so my MIL can sleep in that room when she visits.
-
Thank goodness I'm not responsible for top-of-the-page duties. We're back in the car driving 3 hours home following visit w DH's extended family.... Very nice day.
Coonie so glad to 'see' you.
Yes, Oct will be BIG for us on several channels.
xx00xx00xx00xx
(I promise an abundance of pics!!) -
Coonie - I love that pic. I may just take my MIL's advice and put the curtains up anyway. Like she says...no one sees the casing behind the curtains! lol. I know if I wait for DH to put the curtains up, it'll be another 22 years before it gets done, so I have to figure out a way to get them up myself.
-
Spring rods, Jane. I waited 3 years for my DH to put a rod in our dining room. Got some spring type rods and instant curtains. Unless the window is super wide, you can even use a springy shower curtain rod, which I used here in this apartment since they had mini blinds and they did not totally cover the windows.
October is gonna be a big PAH TEE month. Hugs to all, Nancy
-
Hey, if you paint REALLY fast, you can sometimes surprise the flaking paint and it will lie down and be glued undert the new paint. If you paint slow, you just flake off more old paint.
-
Arnie, where did you post the pic of the birdhouse that I couldn't see at work yesterday? I can't find it here or in the Escape thread!
-
PatMom- I am still cleaning up after ds left for school- his room, the work station he had set up in the living room, atr studio area in the garage and a trail of ...stuff that was left. Blech...although yhis means I can toss a lot of stuff out (so much is stuff, scraps, unused, unwanted, broken, clutter etc).
Today I started in the living room and ended up re-arranging and removing all kinds of things, lamps, tables, and I don't know what all...feel like I almost have a nice/pretty usable room again! Think I will just add a few different lamps (really need light), small round rug under the new coffee table I found @ the 2nd hand place today for $30 (its perfect for the room) and pictures for the walls (have tons around the house that are in need of a home so its perfect).
Amazing how it is w/o the children n the house. I actually get things picked up and it stays that way...I am really excited! So its NOT housework, exactly, its reclaiming.
Barbe- how are you? hoping it is a better day! At least the tire didn't go until you got home and not on the highway! Shall we come up and have a "chat" with your client?
Hugs to all
-
Hello Ladies
Thought I'd drop in and say Hey to the group! Been a busy bee lately, I painted my kitchen, then yesterday my daughter came over and we painted the bathroom...of course now, painting is in no way a form of housework, although I did have to clean up a bit after....
Barbe I have tooooooo many days like that anymore...the DH and I tease each other about the cloud of doom that hangs over our house......
Nothing else has changed, still doing the arimidex, still hate it..but am doctor free till November..and October 23rd will be my year anniversary of being a Survivor! wooo hoooo..Can't believe a year has passed...But thank the lord it has!
Hugs, prayers and love
Deb
.
-
My god, Deb! Has it been nearly a year?? Whoo hooo is right!
Just a quickie. Going to bed. Two more works days till I'm off for 16 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The guy finally split the deal with me and then bitched about it for the rest of the day! Didn't care...I'm trying to fight for what's mine and not be passive-aggressive by bitching about it to everyone else! Oh my, I think I'm growing up!
-
Good for you Barbe!!! Hey, I didn't post a pic of the birdfeeder yet...it's been raining...lol
Deb!!! Yeah!!! Sounds like you're doing well... ((((((((((((big smile and hugs for you))))))))))

-
OMG too cute! Your fur baby sniffing new clothes on your grand baby! Did he think it was someone else?
-
