I'm here! I don't check very often. That weekend works for me. I like the Sunday afternoon lunch personally if we're taking votes. :-) With fall sports, Saturdays are usually busy.
I had my tatooes done yesterday!! I was more sore than I expected to be. My chest muscles actually hurt from all the pressure she put on them when she was putting the ink into my skin. But today there is no pain. I can't wait for the bleeding to stop and the bruising to fade so I can see what they really look like!

Nancy, I just googled kosher deli washington dc and got several possiblitlies--one at Dupont Circle. I didn't try Alexandria but at least you can go downtown.
As far as our October lunch goes, I love Mexican food. Actually, I love all food!

ANGELA - Tattoos - WOOHOO for you! I'll be so excited to hear all about them. I'm scheduled for nipples on November 9th, I can't wait to get through another step.
My son plays soccer on Sunday as he plays Travel but I checked his schedule and his game is at 230pm that day in Fairfax so I'll just head there from lunch.
COLLEEN - We'll miss you, if you're plans change, please try to make it. We'll catch you next time if not.
DIANE - Those places you mentioned sound great, we can go with either.
I think staying in that same area is probably a good idea as it seemed to be somewhat central to all of us.
BECKY - YIPEEE for you, by the time we see you next you'll be PFC, I absolutely love that term!!!
HUGS, Dawn

I will let my 4 chemo buddies know and maybe they can join us. We were discussing a place and date for our October meet up.

I would like to come. I'll just have to see when I'm going up to Boston to see the kids. Fairfax works for me and I love Mexican food.

Hi ladies! I'm organizing the DiG PiNK Breast Cancer Awareness Volleyball Match taking place at Oakton High School in Vienna, VA on Thursday, 1 October 2009. We would LOVE it if you could all attend! The Freshman match takes place at 5pm, followed by JV at 6, and the actual festivities begin with the Varsity match at 7pm. The ticket price is only $5. We'll also be selling DiG PiNK t-shirts for $10. Half of the proceeds go to the Side-Out Foundation started by our own Freshman coach! We want to Pack the Place with Pink to make a statement so please wear a pink shirt! If you're interested in attending, please let me know!

Hi NoVa Gals,
I'm from Alexandria although I'm with family in Houston for treatment. Had surgery in early May, Paclitaxel over the summer (x12) and am now having FAC (4 x 3 weeks). Paclitaxel was fine; FAC is a bear but only 2 more to go! Will start radiation in mid-November and back home in late December. It is good to connect with you all.
