I really missed my cyber sisters. Another week in rehab and I would have been going through serious withdrawal! Hugs and kisses to all!
-
Obviously 'this fairy' Kathleen has already had her coffee this morning............hehehehehe.

Here we are toe to toe
Making sure another sister stays afloat
Thank the Lord for each and every one
So on good days we can play in the sun

Hey everyone, I love the pictures! I'll have to get one of the kids or DH to show me how to do that and then I can join in.
Thank you all so much for the kind words and for welcoming me. I appreciate it more than I can express!
I had treatment #4 today and am starting to feel sick already. I probably won't be posting too much this week, the first week is always the worst.
Glad to see you back Kathleen!
Thanks again everyone. Take care and have a great weekend.

oh, my little guy is 10 today! I wasn't up to icing his cake when I got home tonight and so he iced and sprinkled his own little piece of cake. Candles and sparkles and everything. Aren't kids great!

Coonie, I just noticed your picture had words - sweet!

I am trying to be nice to my new nurse without being me. I dont want to get to know this one and have something drastic happen to her, like the last one. Tanya was my nurse for a year and a half, and I knew about her family, twin sister, daughters, upsets, etc. She was a friend who listened to my chest and bandaged my back. I put too much of myself into that relationship. And now she is dying of liver disease. Thats all I know, I dont dare call her back on her cell phone. I am so afraid that she wont be the person to answer and that person wouldnt understand that I call as a friend and not some nosy person. She wasnt supposed to give me the number anyways. I dont think they can take a 12 cm tumour out of her liver.
-
.......Dream........I'd call.......if she doesn't answer simply say you'll call back another time.

Let me tell you that many groups are cliquish, also that some people that never had breast cancer like to be part of groups.
The support group I attend, had a new woman that had all this horror stories, about her cancer, parents, abuse etc.
Later we found out she never had breast cancer but like to participate telling her horrible life to be the center of attention.
Try to find a group you like, also when one is going trough treatments is more center in one self.
Not all groups are similar.

Send a card to her place of work, she will like that, I work in a hospital and I don't think I will like a patient calling me home, but I really appreciate when I get to work and find cards from them,it is hard on us when we work with patients to separate them from our personal life, but to be a good professional and serve better we have to.
-
Dreaming: My gosh - pretending you have breast cancer when you don't - I am not mystical but that is really bad karma! She must be really insecure, desperate for attenton and lonely. Suggest she go to one of those "Adult Children of..." It is amazing that the things that happened to us as children stay with us forever.
Sharon: Thanks for the welcome back and yes, I had had two cups of coffee when I posted the fairy. I am seriously behind on my caffine consumption!

On this same theme of overcoming our childhoods, I have seen this cartoon before and I just love it!
-
I only have the phone number..... I doubt they would give me the home address. They would never revel what happened next as a violation of personal privacy. They probably have returned the phone by now. I could send a card to her work though.
-
Kathleen - You "sound" good! Glad you're feeling better... There's no place like home! Be well!
-
Kathleen: WELCOME BACK!!!!! Feels great with your own things!
Dreamwriter: Maybe she felt a connection with you as a friend, besides being a patient. You could try to call one time. I think you would know if she wanted you to do this. If you don't call, when you send her a card, put a note in there with your telephone number. Just a thought.

I took the card route. I put my telephone number in it. That way she can decide whether to call. I was just a patient. Maybe she doesnt want that to mix with her home life. I kinda felt that she was real and just a dynamic person all the time. If so, she'll call. Because she did make that connection. And if she doesnt, then she has her privacy.
