    lilyj-You did stumble on to a great thread. Please come and join us for lunch. We meet once a month for lunch. Sometimes there are 4 of us and sometimes there are 10. Whoever makes it comes. It is nice time of chatting with friends.

    So 12:00, June 28, Bucca Di Beppo. I have to look up the address. Brahna do we need a reservation?

    Sylvia-Where are you lady? Are we going together?

    Oh shucks - I will be out of town on the 28th.  I'm going to MN with my kids to visit my family for 4 weeks.  So excited!!!!  I would love to join you next time.  Let me know when and where.

    Everyone else: update on LIsa SDSC. She was supposed to have her surgery today but she was bumped for an emergency and now won't be operated on till next Tuesday. They hadn't decided yet what they were going to do logistically, so she may/may not be able to join us.

    Hi guys---sorry--i've been MIA---won't be able to make it this month--husband is recovering from rotator cuff surgery but has alot of pain and DOESN'T WANT to take vicodan---I said"give to me---I'll take it!"

    I think I've finally found a tenant for our condo ---not toooo bad-- it took us a month (May) to renovate and all June showing and they should move in July 1st---so I've been working and just coming home stressed and exhausted....need to regroup....I'll catch you next month.

    My DH and I are going to LA on the 27th - not sure what time we return on the 28th.  If we get back in time, I'd love to meet y'all.  

    Lisa so sorry you got bumped from your surgery.  This is just too much for one person to deal with - arrgghh.  

    Brahna - love your new avatar and glad you found a good place for wigs, scarves, etc.  The achy scalp is usually a first indication that the hair is about to fall out.  (When mine started, I got hair buzzed - but still wore a mesh-type night cap so I wouldn't find little bitty hairs all over the pillow).

    Someone please let me know where and what time next Sunday.  I hope I can be back in time.

    Calling all cali breast cancer sisters... can you do me a favor?  I know this is off the topic and I hope it's okay to post this but...I am trying to win a contest for my son (to meet his idol - Joe Perry, Aerosmith)... all you have to do is click on this link and click on the thumbs up icon to vote for our entry (legit site, legit contest, MOST deserving young man!)... can you please help me?  Just trying to bring a little joy into my son's life after all this depressing /chemo stuff... voting is only June 23-26... please vote?  It'll only take a second... help me bring joy to this boy! :)  Thank you so much!  P.S.  It says you can only vote once, but if you have more than one computer I think you can vote twice.. lol  We are only in second place by about 30 votes and voting ends Friday!!!

    Got up on the last day of voting and Jarred the Man Fan is 75 head (he has 1162, we have 1087). I pictured him sitting up all night clearing his cookies and revoting. Well, winning like that is very sad for the man-fan.     I felt great on Thursday after my 2nd chemo and runinng into Sylvia and Jeanne.  My husband was floored that I ran into both of you.

    Friday was horrible -- see my post on 'June 2009" chemo.

    Great lunch today. We got to meet Commando Barbie too. That was very special. We missed everyone that couldn't join us. The food was great but it sure was noisey in there.

    Oh - and I'm feeling great after the accupuncture.  Dr. Wang has me coming in to see her almost everyday next week.  I know I'm going to feel good during the rest of my journey.

    He gets to MEET Stephen Tyler and Joe Perry!!! I can't contain myself.. I am so happy at this moment.... you have no idea...!!!!  I think we won by like 3 votes at 5p!!  So, Each and Every vote was so important in this thing....     I just got the first call from Lisa's daughter at 8:45 a.m. PST. They just took her into surgery. They told her it will take about an hour to get Lisa ready for the actual surgery. The surgeon and anesthesiologist were both there. They expect the surgery to last 5 hours and then it will take about 2 hours for her to wake-up.
