Let's conduct our own study on how we all got breast cancer

Nope it was not stress... I worked, had a family, cleaned, was a brownie leader, then a girl guide leader and before that was over was bantam girls baseball co-ordinator. Attending 8 bb games per week, having parents yell and swear at you, getting beaned by a high infield fly..... you guess what kind of stress....

RED ROVER, RED ROVER SEND BARBE RIGHT OVER! (JUST PLEASE DON'T RUN FAST IT HURTS WHEN YOU BREAK THROUGH MY ARMS! AND IT ALSO GIVES ME BREAST CANCER)! COULD IT ALSO BE FROM WATCHING GILLIGANS ISLAND OR THE BRADY BUNCH????!!! I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS SO BIG SORRY! ANYWAY I HAD GINGER BREAST ENVY AND MARCIA HAIR ENVY! TAMI

If that is the case, Idaho, then I am dead!
-
I agree with patoo. It must be the Crisco. My mother fried everything in Crisco! Or it could the wax lips. I truly believe it is from the splenda I put in m coffee. Or it could be from Barbie. I think it is funny with the person who said they couldn't afford Kleenex that they had to use toilet paper. I grew up the same way!
This is wonderful topic - it makes you smile and chuckle at some of the things people list.
-
Could it be that nail polish we'd use as little girls--the kind that you paint on, and peel off in one long stretchy piece? I went through gallons of the stuff. I liked to sniff it, too.
-
To this day when I smell bus exhaust, I think of all the 5AM ski trips I went on in HS. Must have sniffed too much of it!
But Crisco? If that's it, the ladies on the MOJO thread are in big trouble! Seems Crisco solves the dryness problem we all get from chemo and shutting down estrogen! Maybe it's not worth a try as I thought!!! Or maybe it is and at least we go out "satisfied."
-
Hey, the barn door is already open, REKoz....go for it!
-
-
I just know it was from having to sleep cross way in a big double bed with my two baby brothers and baby sister on cold winter nights and having them pee on me every single night. Or maybe it was all the peach switch woopins I got. Or from blowin up ant beds with blackjack firecrackers or...... Oh that's why I got all those woopins!!!
-
You guys are so bad. ( I love it)
-
You all are making me cry - funneeeeee!
If these are all the things that caused it; this thread is certainly what's gonna cure it - laughter!
Thanks sisters for your ability to lighten up in the midst.
-
Red Rover, Red Rover, I call Tami over! That's it!
Or maybe it was green eggs and ham....
-
Still insist it was the babyoil and bonnebell lip smackers.
-
Aha, most of you probably don't recognize it but it could have been the Dixie Peach!
-
Barbe, we ate green eggs, had special Orakana (sp) chickens that layed green eggs!
Never thought about the Bonnie Bell lip smakers, hmmm watermelon.
Anyone use Love's Baby Soft, perfume (if you could call it that) and the powder you would cake on your chest so it would sparkle! Maybe that was it.
-
Maybe it was Bonnie Bell 10.0.6 skin cleaner!
-
The electric blue eye shadow!!! WHOA-LAA!
-
What about all of those times I would go digging in my Mom's make-up bag and would apply everything to my face (despite the fact that she never wore it, and it was all ancient). I'd top it off with Jean Nate'. Pretty!!!
-
OMG. you ladies are so funny! I totally agree with everyone, but have a few more. Anyone remember that pink (uh oh) tape we stuck our bangs down with? Maybe it's platform shoes, hot pants and watching Roller Derby.
-
How about Hairnet hairspray in......get ready for it.......aerosol!
-
omg...I just started reading this thread...I am laughing so hard, I am crying.Oh boy, too much...I have one...laying in the sun as a teenager soaked in baby oil and iodine.!! What a great tan!!
-
Ah Ha!! White Go Go Boots- Zippers in back rubbing metal into heels and ankles- through the skin and right into the breast!!
-
Has anyone counted all the babyoil encounters. Seems to be a number one culprit. Dam I think I watch way too much CSI.
-
Yeah, I remember Go Go Boots and blue eye shadow.
-
This Thread is awesome!
I think I got BC from the following:
*Drinking Tang and Sanka instant decaf coffee in High School
*Those cigarettes I smoked while at the bars in College.
*Never being happy with my Boobs and always wishing they were bigger. That's just my Catholic Guilt talking.
*Crayons, eating playdo, smelling markers and eating elmer's.
*Eating too many Fudge Rounds and Twinkies.
*Too much Swiss Miss and Frosted Flakes.
*Watching too many Brady Bunch, Guiligand's Island and Three's Company Re-runs.
*Barbie, Aqua Net, Jelly Sandals and Slap Bracelets...those definitely gave me BC!
*Being zapped too many times playing Operation.
-
Nothing I enjoyed more than a black licorace pipe!!!!! I think that did it. Oh ya! I did cut off all of Mrs. Beezlies hair until she was bald. Mom always said "Why can't you be more like your sister?' Oh, that wouldn't have been any fun, Mrs. Beezlie was hers. Ha!Ha! Ha! O.K. I feel a little guilty now but I think she is over it.
-
Im sorry but you are all wrong. It is the icky stuff you paint on your nails to stop nail biting.... I gnawed it off every time
-
Oh you are right! I completely forgot about that lovely tasting stuff! I think it's because my Dad (miss him dearly) used to make us walk around the house with a book on our head so we would have good posture. (gotta love an airforce dad).
-
Dreamwriter, we are on the same wavelength, my vote was the peel-off nail polish. I must have ingested a few gallons of the stuff in my childhood!!!
-
My dad was Air Force. Yes Sir, Yes Mama and I took a charm class
at Sears for teens girls, And we walked with catalogs on our heads
