You guys have some good ones but a few were overlooked, pixie stix, Hostess snow ball cakes, dot candy and the worst one tube sock tops. I refuse to believe that Barbie would have done this to me, I let her make out with GI Joe and everything. Lets face it Ken has always been gay, he was just to pretty.

I think bc is caused by gummy bears (the candy)!  Why else would they name an implant after them???

Chalk!!!  The dust when teachers wiped the boards clean went all over the classroom and up into our sensitive little nostrils.  Those erasers did not contain the dust.

Patoo!  Chalk dust!  Oh goodness!  I got extra doses of chalk dust all through grade school!  In the years when I was a goody-goody, staying after school to help Sister -- and in the years when I was bad, having to erase boards after school as punishment!  No-win situation!  (Isn't that BC all over??!!!)

Ok we may be getting closer here.... for me, it was the school tunic that was mini skirt length.  It was the nuns for making me stand in the hall because I crossed myself wrong or with the wrong hand or sumthin.  It was my mother making me wear those barbie bed pads with an elastic belt thingie. It was nylons with the girdle stocking holders.   It was the smell of the candles in church which occasionally made me defile the church steps.... oops.   I ran track so maybe the up and down motion was to blame... Geez maybe I was just ASKIN for it.

I was abducted by aliens who probed my arms with allergen tests.  After finding out that I reacted to indoor/outdoor cat, they abducted the felines that made my nose and eyes water like Niagra Falls (the Canadian side).  Their demands were as follows: promise to vote Republican, fight oppression, and battle the cancer of their choice.  I held out as long as I could, negotiated into being a DemocraticRepublican; to watch Superman cartoons, comic books, and movies; and... hey!  They sent me back before I was done with them.  In space, you have no Miranda rights, that's why no one can hear you scream.  I shouldda held out for Sculley and Muldaur of the X-Files to come get me.  I'm almost certain that the Smoking Man was in the corner all along.

           Crop circles are only the drawings of young aliens who get board on the long  trip.

How did I miss this thread?  I just spent a long time reading through all of the posts.

I believe it was Shake-n-Bake chicken, Hamburger Helper and Velveeta Cheese.  All of which were staples of my childhood because they were "new" and "in".  I didn't know that lasagna was made with anything but velveeta cheese until I was in college and I ordered lasagna on a date and it came with white curdly cheese.  Hamburger Helper was my favorite meal of the week.... and of course I liked the chicken: my mom made it  "and I helped" (remember the commercial?)

Although after reading through all of the posts I really believe that there is something to be said about all of the bug spray.  But if we didn't have all the bug spray we may not have lived long enough to get breast cancer because we would have had malaria or west nile virus. You just can't win.

Uh oh, hope it's not the cheetos.  Otherwise I'm still feeding my bc. 

I think it was playing hopscotch.  Jumping around on one-foot from square-to-square.  I must have favored my right foot to jump on and that's why the lump was in my right breast.

I know exactly why I have breast cancer:

I shot my brother in the head with a BB gun (it was an accident, I swear!)

I drank Tab

I breathed in air, ate food and drank water

I wasn't the best daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter and friend I could have been

I didn't love my enemy as I would have myself (this one is really hard to do)

And a million other things I did that were human.

Never drank Tab. Hate the "back taste" I called it. Was that the first artificial sweetener? I HATE them and can always catch them in foods. I remember when Wrigleys gum started using them! That's when I stopped using that brand of gum.

It was BAZOOKA - the multiple pieces chewed consequetively to maintain that full sugar load. And the little comics had carcinogenic ink!  Double whammy. Humm none of my fortunes said anything about breast cancer.

Could have been those little carcinogenic toys that used to come in Cracker Jack boxes?  They knew they were cancer causing because they took them out and replaced them with stickers or something.

Quick story - they were removing asbestos in a building where I worked.  I complained to a co-worker that if I got asbestosis, I was suing the company.  His response - honey, when you and are were babies they had asbestos in our crib mattress and we were toast long ago!

Kmccraw, not only did they use asbestos in mattress, it was used for baby blankets, sleepers & toys. It was hailed the magic material because it had so many uses. Talk about doomed, we should have just sprinkled it in our cereal.
