Oh, I cannot wait to get back to knitting. Wishing alll my sisters are safe and well. I will check in next weekend when taxes are all done!!!
A fun read: "The Shop on Blossom Street" by Debbie Macomber -- about a yarn shop and its owner and some of the women who learn to knit and become friends. I enjoyed it thoroughly and am into the 2nd book already. I needed some R&R time yesterday so took the day off to read & sleep.
-

Dearest, kindest, and most loving sisters,
I am in tears. My husband and son woke me up from my nap (as Daniel says, I'm sleeping away my owwies). They both said in a perplexed voice, "You got a package?"
My son, being a standard 4 year old, began to dance around, yelling, "Maybe it's a TOY!!!"My husband opened it up, and pulled out the note. I lifted out the tissue paper, and burst into tears.
An Afghan! Oh, sweet ladies, what a loving thing to receive in the mail.
Things have been so rough, and were even worse when I had to go back to the hospital for another 6 days (my hubby was too overwhelmed to post an update, he kept forgetting and screwing up my password).I feel every one of your loving hands covering me with hugs and love. I am just so touched, honored, and blessed by each and every one of you. Thank you so very VERY VERY much.
I've always been aware of this project, but have no idea how to crochet or knit (I don't even know what it's called!), I am so grateful to have been a recipient.
May God continue to bless this amazing project and outreach. It has truly warmed my heart, soul, and spirit. I feel stronger just knowing so many women have offered their love.
Love and prayers, Deb
-
Deb - I am so glad you received an afghan. Yeah!!!! Glad it brought you love at a time when you need it the most. Love and hugs,
-
Oh Deb, I'm crying happy tears. I am so happy your box of hugs arrived. It still amazes me that they arrive when they are most needed. You know I as well as everyone here will be here for you.
I remember our days in chat. You've come a long way sweetie and will get through this one day at a time.
Gentle hugs to you,
Liz

I received a lovely note from purpleMB's aunt who was a recent recipient of a Hugaghan. She said it is a work of true love and will cherish it.
Thanks everyone!
Off to work on another.
-
Deb - GAWD - I am truly choked up and shedding tears of joy - knowing that you recieved our gift of comfort! I can't tell you how much I feel for you and your little one and your big one too (dh). You three are always in my thoughts. Hugs to you! We are cheering you on girl! We will help you through this! HUGS, HUGS, HUGS!
-
Deb,
I'm so happy this afghan helped you feel all the love we are sending your way. It truly is amazing.
Hugs, Jackie
-
Dearest sisters,
I will have Greg take a pic today and will post it! I LOVE it. It is beautiful, and overwhelming to know that many loving hands made it.
-
Deb, I am so glad you can feel all the support and love going out to you. We indeed send you our hugs and love.
Hugs, Madison

Dear friends... this is from my aunt... she is only 5 years older than me and we grew up together...she was my maid of honor...thank you all
Mary Beth, Thank you so much for thinking of me and sending my name on to the group that makes the beautiful afgans. I was so surprised when a package arrived from Oklahoma. What a touching thing it is that these people have done for strangers...and to be included in such thoughtfulness really made my day. I am now off the IV antibiotics and most of the other drugs and feel alot better. I just got the okay to lift ten pounds which will make things around here seem a little more normal. There are a few more trips to Buffalo but not for a few weeks. Meanwhile we will begin to deal with this adrenal gland problem which we are hoping will be an easy. Love to all the family, especially to granddaughters. Love, Gail
love to aall MB
