Barbe would you believe I couldn't find one trophy dedicated soley to eating cookie dough!!! How could that possibly be?
-
momoftwo...got your instructions...gonna try...
-
oops...guess not! ha! I'll keep trying...lol
-
Flash you could invite all of us up to help you take them down. (But then you'd have to feed us)
arnie, we have had a new neighbor move in next door who has a beagle that has a bark that just startles you to the core. Anyway our dog is a greyhound mix and they are of a very timid nature to begin with (rescued her from a shelter) so everytime she tries to go outside for potty time she starts to go and out comes our neighbors dog giving one of those sharp series of barks and up she runs back to the house. Its almost comical to see Sophie when she first ventures out. She looks over to see if Riley is out then looks back at me like "its gonna happen again I just know it" and then the scene is repeated. Now she just plain refuses to go off the porch so we are getting more than our fair share of accidents. Think I'm gonna have to find a way to send her out the front door so she doesn't freak out every time the neighbors dog starts the barking. Either that or I have to become a professional carpet cleaner.
-
you'll get it arnie and its so much fun when you do. We have a blast with the pics.
-
Where did the cookie dough go? Save electricity, eat cookie dough
-
Mom, send her over to your neighbours front yard to do her business!
Our neighbours had a great weird looking dog when we moved in. He never barked just snuffled in distress when he heard us leave out the front. I would reassure him it was just me....he'd be watching through the fence to make sure its was just me. The fence was big enough for him to step through, but he never did. Our neighbour told us if any of the kids showed him he could, she kill them!
Anyway, they got him a sister last year and she never stops barking! They let her out at exactly 7:30 every morning and you can set your clock by it. It's one of the reasons I started to wear ear plugs. I don't know why they can't hear it!
Years ago, a neighbour behind us all had their dog on their deck barking his head off. 10, 15, 30 minutes!!!! My DH and I were trying to sleep. I finally put my head to the screen at the window and yelled SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They would never have known where it came from but the dog was taken in quickly. Why are people so unaware of how their barking dog is a pain for everyone else. Maybe they can ignore it, but not us!
Wow, I must be cranky this morning.
-
Poor Sophie! I feel so bad for her! Our dog is afraid of the dark and wouldn't go beyond the backporch....soooooooooooo my husband put a large light in the back so she'd go do her business! ha! What we don't do for those pooches!?!
Sharon....to funny!
-
I'm glad we don't have any close neighbors. I hate barking dogs! Dogs are cool. Barking ones...not so much. I'm a cat person though.
I can relate to the Christmas/winter decorations. I have a bag of snowman decorative pillows that has been sitting in the living room needing to go up in the attic for quite awhile now. So not like me to not have them put up yet. Oh well. It will be winter again someday and that will be one less thing I have to get down. LOL
I love raw cookie dough better than cookies.
Today I am shooting for getting a load of laundry done. Just one small load. And writing some more thank you notes. I am overwhelmed by how wonderful people have been. I'm also going to email a friend of a friend who just finished chemo. I have never met her, but friend thought it would be nice if we "talked" since she is just finishing up treatment.
It's cloudy here today and supposed to start raining.
Have a good one ladies!

Arnie, the preview thingy didn't work.
I am a cat person. I used to have 4, now 3. I LOVE them all in different ways, just like kids. I like how when you hold something out for them to eat, they won't take it out of your hand, but wait for you to put it down. Then if they don't like it they walk away. A dog would wolf it down and then decide whether he liked it or not!
I found out yesterday one of my cats doesn't like chocolate! I had asked my DH to get me a hazelnut chocolate bar as a treat after my surgery. He got me one the size of my ass! So I'm still working on it, of course.....
-
ROFL- the size of your ass...
That's funny!
I just realized from your description that I'm a cat person but apparently, personally, I am more like a dog because I just wolf food down and then decide if I like it or not. LOL
-
LOL, I think I'm a dog too Mary.
But I don't bark and don't go outside to do my business..
-
arnie the pic came through, cute too!
-
hint: you can click on the preview button and see if there is any of that script under your pics then you can highlight just those and delete them so they don't show up. Have to be careful though or you will wind up deleting the whole thing.
-
THANKS MOM OF TWO!!! Too much fun! ha! Thanks for all the tips...
-

-
OOPS...GOTTA REMEMBER TO TAKE THE OTHER WRITING OUT! Someday...ha!
-
Arnie- Sorry about the loss of your sweet Simon. (((hugs))) I lost my Bo in October of 2004. He was also 19. I still miss him so much.
I have 6 cats right now. Inside. And a few more strays outside. I'm always a little embarassed to admit that, but I love them all! We had 3 and then the neighbors cat had kittens in my flower bed. They didn't want anything to do with it, so we took them in. We couldn't find homes, so they are ours now. We also had the mother fixed. Enough already!
Off to wolf something down and see if I like it.
-
Can't wait until watermelon comes into season around here!!! Been craving it!
Texas Rose...I'm so sorry to hear about your Bo... We talk about our Simon all the time...he was such a big part of our lives... Don't be embarassed! I say the more the merrier! They are soooooooooo much company. My Ralph is 10 years old and is such a companion. We've buried all our animals out back and they all have their own grave markers. Now does that sound crazy? ha! I don't care what people think...we love our furry kids.
-
Bummer! That was a great watermelon pic! ha!
-
Doesn't sound crazy at all to me to have them buried in the backyard. I don't care what people think either. We have lost so many over the 23 years we have been married. They all lived long and healthy lives, but we have always been a multi-cat household so the losses have been many. We've had all of them cremated. I still have the ashes and will probably spread them on our cemetary plots. Some people might think that is crazy, but we will be together forever with our precious babies. We don't have children (not by choice). They are our children.
I see your watermelon!
(((hugs)))
-
Here's ya a slice or two to tide you over till you find yours arnie.
-
mmmmmmmmmmmmm looks so goooooooooood!! Thanks momoftwo!!!
TexasRose...I couldn't agree more...
My niece is on her way over with my new great niece. My sister passed on November 24, 2008, so it will be bittersweet. More sweet than bitter though. Talk at you all later...
