Wow...this thread moves faaaaaast! I am so tired today, I can hardly keep up.

    My thoughts:

Adorable kids in the pictures! Blueberries are good. Computer problems suck. Mothers who clean houses are good. Cool blogs. Cussing- I do that. Very sunny day here. Prayers for Barbe. Hope she is well.

    Did somebody mention turtle cheesecake?

    Back to the couch.

    HELLO???? I'M BACK! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surgery was running late today and I was booke for 1:45 anyway. But had to pick up the juice for my Ct scan at the end of the month. Surgery went fine, I dreamed that all of you were giving me good ideas about how to bump off the ex....wedding crashes and that sort of thing....hehehehhehe

The only upsetting thing, is that he gave me my path report from before and it's a bit different than I have on my signature line. Looks like 13 nodes in total and 2 had micro mets! What does that make me now? Crazy? Me thinks I gotta get a 2nd opinion - I don't even have an onc!

The incision is an owie. I think he was punishing me for getting more taken off....but at least it's going to pathology. I'll see him in 2 weeks for follow-up. I needed this earlier but he had to get 4 heart stents by emergency. I gave him a big hug in the hallway at the hospital and one of the nurses said, ah, getting a hug from your surgeon? I said, no I'm giving HIM a hug! He was blushing, he's quite a cutie.

I wanted this done before I got fitted for the dress for my daughters wedding. The shoes I got are a gorgous pewter scaly (alligator type?) open-toed shoes. I've been wearing them around work to break them in. I also got a flat pair of silver ballet style shoes with a big silver buckle on the toe so I can change them out.

NO housework tomorrow for me. I'm banking what ya'll did today! TTFN

Barb great to hear frm you.  Glad it went well.  You should get an onc and talk about the path report.  Could be nothing!  Glad your getting this all taken care of before the big day.  Hope you are feeling better!  We missed you today.

Came back just to check on you Barbe. Glad it went well and is over. Shoes sound awesome! I think you should take the whole week off from housework. Rest up! Hoping you get some answers on the pathology report soon.

Barbe, it's great to hear from you.  Sorry the incision is owie.  Are you swollen at all?  ice?

Sharon, yes, I'm in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the US, so you can be forgiven for not quite knowing what I was talking about.  Quite a few Americans have never heard of RI or know where it is, which is actually fine with us, because it's gotten a little too popular in the last five years, and we don't want it to get too crowded.   It's got lovely coastline and farmland, too.  Kind of a cows-on-the-beach place.   And it's pretty flat.  The highest elevation is about 780 feet, I kid you not!

Faith, thanks for the nice feedback!  I really enjoyed your blog and site.  What fun you must have with all the kids.  The quilts are beautiful, especially as illustrations in the book.  Did you see my photographic "quilts?"  I've got big plans to combine sewing and photography, because I have found a place to get all kinds of natural fabric that can be run through my big photo art printer.  Artisan clothing, maybe?  I've done some experimenting with printing photos on fabric or on other stuff and laying a sheer fabric over them.  All kinds of possibilities.  Got a new sewing machine last year!   I have quite a few UFO's around my house -- Un-Finished Objects -- in various states of completion!

KAK: yes, i just LOVED the photographic/quilt/collages!! I had never seen that sort of treatment photographically. Awesome. There's a contemporary quilter who creates images that have a similar feeling.

I just am completely intrigued with your artisan clothing concept and wish you well in that development process.

Unfortunately, you didn't need to clarify UFO for me..... I'm completely aware of the concept, and have an entire studio filled with them.

Barbe, hope that you're awakening with a smile on your face today -- one more hurdle crossed. Thinking of you as you return to wellness.

I've been out for my morning walk already, the clouds are gathering for yet more rain, so I made a break for it. Do we get any 'work' points for exercise??? I think we should. I'm tickled to announce that I've lost 10.2 pounds as of this morning, (since the new year began) and think that deserves a point..... even if my house still looks like a lava flow. LOL. I can only focus on one concept at a time.

Everybody get dedicated to ONE small 'micro-movement' for the day!! (from my favorite author, SARK)

If you lost over 10 pounds you can take the whole month off.

Barbe - glad you are back - here is a definition of a 'trophy wife:"

A young, attractive woman married to an older, more powerful man.

His role in the relationship is to be her sugar daddy and provide her with power and material wealth. Hers, beyond providing sex, is to remind others that he is powerful or rich enough to be desirable to such a woman despite his age and thus to serve as a marker of this status -- hence the "trophy" part. A specialized type of gold digger.

Holly - I found the other 5 pounds that Faith lost!    Great job Faith!!

Holly - I know what phytoestrogens are and take flax every day.  I guess it's controversial.  Soy is another, but as far as I know we shouldn't take that.  The body has different reactions to the phytoestrogens in flax (which can be good) and soy(which could be bad).  Many threads on this if you are interested.

Barb - Hope you are feeling bettter this morning.

Good luck Cathi and Jacki!!  I'll be thinking of you both.

Sharon - I will try with the pic, I usually don't have problems posting but did this time.

CLeaned the kitchen after breakfast with the boys.  ALthough the Star Wars Lego guys are still lined up pointing there weapons at me.  Maybe they are telling me not to move, just sit at the computer all day and everything will be OK.

Mak I can just picture you watching the guys to make a move. ehhehehehehe Good excuse to not move!

2new1s, I can have him do anything???? Kiss

Thanks all for your good wishes, you are the only regular post I made last night.  I gave Cathi and Jacki a really big hug in another thread so I don't want to hurt them, but I am anxious to hear back. I think that makes for another down day in the housework department. I have to stay glued to my terminal....

That's the other pisser I forgot about yesterday! I've gained 5 pounds! How did I do that? I've lost 2 complete pant sizes!!! I think it's water retention which will be dealt with when my kidney stone gets removed. I take a dieuretic every day with my blood pressure medication too! I had forgotten about that. Yell

Congrats on the weight loss faith!!! Who cares what the house looks like, as long as YOU look that good no one will notice your house. I agree about the trophy wife...they're both shallow and I am sure they deserve each other.

You'll all be proud... my MOM is still HAPPY!!! I think i hear the vacuum cleaner....hehe

Lucy, Lucy, Lucy let me explainWink See on this thread we live in cyberland. This is a wonderful place far removed from nasty words like calories, fat, cancer, treatments etc. etc. All our wonderful snacks, treats etc. are all cyberfoods with zero calories, zero phytoestrogens, zero carcinogens. So grab a plate, dig in and join the chat my friend.

If you think the food is great, you should see our cyber boobs! Healthy, whole, whatever size we need and they sit comfortably on our cyber lean bodies without a care.

So now I'm gonna fix you a nice little cyber treat. Go ahead and pick one....in fact just have them allSmile

Arnie. This is the most welcoming of gals.

Thank you for the congrats on the weight-loss, which has been completely s-l-o-w & methodical and has involved eating less and moving more. (Such a concept!)

I, too have water retention-issues and a fairly kerplunkt thyroid, so this is all the old fashioned way of riding my bike while I was in FL & walking a whole lot up north -- all the while putting fewer things into my mouth.

BUT...... the truly, really, absolutely helpful piece of the puzzle for me, was listening to the CD series entitled, "The Four Day Win" blah blah blah the true something something to Thinner Peace. By Martha Beck, which I have from our library.

I've told of this 'miracle' on another thread...... it's a whole lot of 'brain' annalysis/forgiveness/being kind to yourself/new-age stuff from a witty & sarcastic PhD, who starts out with the chapter, "Why are You so DAMN fat??"

(So if that concept puts you off, this may not be your miracle.)

For me it was literally EXACTLY what I needed.

Her basic premise, is that anyone can do 'anything' for four days...... and that's all the time you need to actually see 'improvement' in yourself.

Enough about that..... it's been a gold mine to my brain & now I'll eat all of the cyber goodies, free of calories.

And yes, that's my dishwasher you hear in the background. It's slightly muffled cuz, what with the bed being made I think some of the reverations are diminished. LOL!!

I've been losing weight too Faith (on purpose) and it's wonderful to have pants actually "fit" again.  It's also been really good for my LE arm.  15 lbs. down, maybe 5 more to go.  Eating way less, no snacking, less wine (Cry) and more exercise.  I'm sure if I did more housework that would help too.Tongue out  We've had the grandest weather for walking so I have no excuse not to get out every day.
